Just an FYI. You commented that there is limited space on apps for this unit. I have a Similar head unit, and have found a work around that works great for it. Take out your SD card and download the APK for the app you want via computer or whatever you use. Put the SD card back in the unit and install via the apk installer. It will give you an option to install on the SD card. If you have a 32gb SD card, you can install all your apps on that. And that's it, just increased your units storage space.
In June 2015, I bought this same unit from EONON and I love it, but it can be frustrating. My FM signal fails randomly, but a reboot allows it to work again. Then every once in awhile the unit will keep looping the "GAPPS not working" splash screen. And lastly, my little cover over the GPS/SD slot does not stay seated, so i just tore it off.
Great video. Exactly what I was looking for, information wise. I saw, in one of your other videos about this I think, that you wired up the backup cam to an external switch. What was involved with that? Is it just a matter of sending the head unit a 12V signal on a separate designated camera wire to get it to switch inputs? Thanks.
Do you recall if this has a 3.5mm steering wheel control or wired remote control input wire? I've looked at a few videos and reviews and I can't tell from any of them, but I don't want to lose my steering wheel controls ^^
Frank Ellis I'm 99% sure it comes off the main radio harness, not a 3.5mm jack. But it does have wired inputs for steering wheel controls, I just haven't played around with it. I think the steering wheel controls have to be resistive and not digital. I could be wrong. Sorry I can't help more here.
Hello You Tube: I am looking at a Pioneer X5800 for my Silverado, now I see these Pumpkin Android units and I am now confused ! could someone write a comparison VS. one or the other. Also the Android unit don't state the AMPS output !!!
Great video!!! Question? Did you have any issues with this unit fitting in the Double Din dash kit? I noticed that the dimensions of the unit are slightly off from double din standards.
hazeleye06 Great question -- YES. Fitment was not perfect. The IS300 already has a larger than normal stereo slot so it wasn't a terrible problem for me. I did have to modify my 2DIN bracket a bit, thankfully the included bezel covers up the gap. But buyer beware, you made have to do a little custom fab to get it to fit correctly.
I'm getting a similar unit for 180$ I have spent almost 10000$ on brand name double dins in the past and they all lacked an OS, I'm quite excited, especially for the price.
I've been looking at review videos for these head units and one time I haven't seen in any of the videos so far is the unit powering up and playing music automatically. Can these units continue where you left off in your song like traditional instant-on head units? Or do they always boot into silence? I run a tablet alongside my dated Pioneer D3, which I have setup to continue where I left off, but bluetooth audio sounds terrible compared to what I'm used to, so I'm considering one of these even though I'm expecting the audio quality to not be as good. These units take really long to boot up (my old D3 takes 3 seconds to boot before music begins to play, 12 seconds before you can input navigation addresses, so I'm spoiled), it would be a shame if they didn't at least boot up and continue playing what you were listening to when you last parked. I'm also surprised that these units don't just come with a battery installed so that you could have that instant-on feel after leaving your car parked for a few hours.
+Rob Pagan Yes - it does this all the time. It will open whatever app you 'shut-down' in. So if I turn off the car in the radio app, the radio app will auto-start next time and begin playing. It also does this for my GPS (iGo) and Spotify. Although with Spotify, I believe you still have to push the play button once it loads. The boot-time does leave some to be desired, but I honestly don't mind it considering how much I get in return -- all the customization is really, really nice. From my research, I thought the manufacturer had experimented with batteries -- I could've swore I saw something along these lines. Some came with small batteries, others a capacitor.. I haven't dug into mine, but I think it comes with a capacitor that just holds a 'last on' state. If you key-off, and key-back on within 5 minutes or so, it resumes from a sleep state and will start a lot quicker. But longer than 5-minutes and it requires a full-boot. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if there was some setting or Root-control app that would resolve that for you.. but i'm not 100% sure. Hope this helps - jon

Good video. Like you I have no need for a system with a DVD drive so this one sounds more appealing to me. You should link to the one you bought in the description. Do you have any parking sensors or cameras? Just wondering if it works with them? Thanks

This may be silly, but try and download apps from your computer and put it on the memory stick (making sure it's capable with the OS) and running them from there? Maybe that could work, let me know?
What vendor did you get this from? Where would I find a plug-and-play wiring harness for my vehicle? (2003 Expedition, and I would like to not have to splice)
kingprankster69 Hi! Thanks for checking out my video. The vendor is in the video description, "pumpkin_cool" -- Not sure where you would find a plug-n-play harness, the radio does come w/ a harness, looks like a universal adapter, they call it an "ISO cable" -- hope this helps
Hey I also have an IS300, if I purchased this head unit is there anything else i need to buy so it would work perfectly? my audio system is totally stock aside from some subs i added (tapped into the rear speakers). Thanks for posting this video man.
Dev Thanks for stopping by. I would read the stereo threads on my.is -- there's a stock amplifier that has to be bypassed in order to function correctly (located behind the glove box). I ran all new speaker wires and cut out all the old wiring. (it was faster than trying to find the original speaker wires in the harness). That's the toughest part, really. Hope this helps
I own the same radio. Do you find the fm radio audio kinda muddy event with the tremble set all the way up? It sounds awesome on Pandora or the tune in app
Mine is not recognizing the 3g dongle and I am not able to set functions to the soft buttons. Do you have any idea how to solve this? Is there a way to put this android in developer mode on Android 5.1.1?
Hi Can you us the gps storage for your apps once you have rooted it.? With my samsung it partitioned the internal storage so you have your system storage and sd storage (its no sd, its internal) to put your movable apps too.I undid the partition and now can add apps to a 32Gb sd card. Anyway , Thanks. A good review. Helped me out no end.
So does this plays the radio on the background when using other apps or you have to have the radio screen always opened and when using navigation app on the screen, the radio is shut down?
ivari1234 Yes - it will play the radio in the background. To shut the radio off you have to use the "BACK" button.. Simply hitting the "HOME" button will leave the radio playing in the background. Navigation and radio will play audio at the same time.
I have the exact same head unit with the same MCU, I have just rooted the unit using the JY firmware on the XDA site. I used Coudo's Pre-rooted firmware and it worked a treat.
***** Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing this! What do you think before/after the root? Do you get more features? Can you move apps and app data to the external SD card? Is the unit faster?
Chippernut After the install performance speed was the same as before, but I have noticed some of the bloatware has been removed, I have only updated the firmware yesterday so I haven't had much time to do extensive testing. I did install Xposed Framework & Xposed MTC had a little play around with it, to what I can see on Coudo's firmware it may allow app install's on external SD cards not sure just yet haven't tested it out. Check the dev's firmware file server page on the XDA site: huifei.fs-fileserver.de/content/firmware/ Also ensure you pick the file that has JY 4.4.4 800x480 and the latest version.
***** Thanks for the info & tips! I might give this a try. If you get time to test if you can get apps on the front SD card, please let me know how that goes. this would be the largest benefit IMO. I'll do some more reading and research
+Csaba Farkas Mine is the exact same way.. I think I flipped it upside down and it fit just slightly more snug, but mine falls off if you touch it basically. A little VHB or double-sided tape would probably help.
+Lou Reed Strange - no mine plays fine from all speakers. I haven't tried Pandora but I know Spotify works great for me. Maybe something in the internal amp is dead? Does the radio play through the rear?
+Chippernut The radio, Bluetooth, And cd all play through the rear and front speakers. It's only Spotify Pandora in Amazon music. These are the apps on the android stereo system that do that.
At last someone whos actually showed the boot up time. Must say thou im not sure now, worked out about 40 seconds from when you turned the key, this is a bit long for me. How has it lasted over time?
+Kevin Shek I have this same unit from EONON for my F150 and it has its issues, but like he said in the video; the customization is great. The boot up time is a bit long, but I dont mind it so much.
david bluff I can't honestly say this is a "set it and forget it" head-unit. It begs to be tinkered with... whether your changing settings, uploading new apps, or replacing the OS w/ a new one.. All I can offer is my experience -- others may have had absolutely zero problems (technology hates me) -- I did have problems with it... and it has been in and out of the car several times only because I don't get Wifi in my garage.. Having said that, it does seem OK now that I've replaced the OS
Has your wifi ever given you issues ? mine is currently stuck " Wifi turning on" and doesnt turn on at all .BTW nice IS300 bc of you I purchased this deck last year never had issues except for igo being shitty and now the wifi issue
Hi Jay! Thanks for the IS300 shout out. :) My Wifi has always been weak because of the tiny antenna, I've been meaning to extend it, but haven't gotten around to it. I haven't experienced the Wifi-turning On issue.. and yes, iDon'tGo is something else.. I have audio issues with it where it will say "turn left in 2 mi......" and just cuts off the last bit of everyword she says.
Hi, Where did fou find the frame for this unite ? I really want one of these but i'm affraid there will be a gap of empty space around it once I installe it :/ Thank you !
+Costa Diogo I bought the mounting frame off Amazon. It was a "METRA" unit specific for my car. This is not a standard double din, so some fabrication may be required..
ELTORO619 I chose Spotify as my music provider because I can download all the music files and play them locally without internet. I also use the iGo navigation app that stores it's own data w/o internet. It is possible to use your Hotspot or mobile phone (if equipped) to provide internet Wifi
Rctracing I believe screen mirroring works, but I haven't tried it. As far as reception goes, it's the same as other 'brand name' headunits I've used. No better, No worse. Hope this helps.
Sup dude, thanks for the review, I'm on the verge of buying one of these android head units. It seems as though you have found the best one thats out there. I will be using mine in much the same way with spotify and not much else. My question is, if im buying this headunit for mainly spotify would you think that the 5gb is a big enough of a put off to stop you buying it? In other words do you regret that aspect of your purchase? Cheers dude.
LT. Robson Good question -- Yes and No.. I was able to get most of my music from Spotify on there... I needed to do some trimming to my playlists anyhow. I definitely don't regret the purchase though. Nothing beats having spotify on-tap ready to go.. don't have to fuss around w/ my phone, wires, or BT connections, or battery draining.. SO CONVENIENT. It really depends on how much music you have / want available in the car.. Honestly, I'm half tempted to see if I can crack the case open and see if there' a removable SD card in there.. instant upgrade.. I have to wire up my mic (the onboard microphone sucks) so I might take a peak inside.. hopefully it's not a DIP or SMD NAND flash chip and I can add more.
Chippernut I was reading up there a few minutes ago, there could be a way to root the headunit and then use an app to move spotify over to the sd card, not quite sure if its possible but it seems fairly simple looking at the tuts on youtube search for something like "move apps over to sd card" if we followe that then it could be possible?
LT. Robson I tried setting the manual default location to SD card in the app settings, all that does is move the location from the 1Gb internal to the 5.35Gb "NAND" flash... Unfortunately. I found the best information on XDA Development. Here are some links to check out.. The only one I didn't try was setting Spotify to EXTREME quality... that might work.. i'll give it a shot and let you know. forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?s=369f65b6f97cb3ce73fe092f0fd72448&t=2660662&highlight=sd+card+install+app forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59872713&highlight=sd+card+install+app#post59872713 forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56844893&highlight=sd+card+install+app#post56844893 www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2014/06/install-android-apps-sd-card-default/#.VGJlsWKUf0- forums.androidcentral.com/moto-e-2014/394222-moto-e-how-change-default-storage-external-sd.html The biggest concern I had was bricking it.. which is entirely possible. I tried some downloaded APK's that claimed to automatically root the device and two of them failed. can't remember the link, i think one was called KingRoot or something like that.
LT. Robson I should clarify my last post. The unit sees the 1Gb Internal Storage as "Address 0" or default and the 5.35Gb NAND as "Address 1" -- those are the only two native options for app install. we need to find a way to install the apps on SD Storage "Address 2" or "Address 3" in order for it to work the way we want.. It is possible.. either by modifying some files buried in Android or hacking it through some SDK software.. as of now that's the best I could find... If you fnid something else though, I'd be interested in experimenting
T Will I'd be interested in hearing what you found out -- When I did this, it didn't go to the external SD card, it just want to a secondary internal memory called NAND -- not my actual SD card. It wasn't until I replaced the ROM that was actually able to get Apps and Data on the external.. I wish I could, I honestly still don't know what some of those settings do in factory settings menu. sorry.
Matthew Ives I bought a radio just like this one. but mine came with android 6.0 marshmallow operating system, it works so nice. I can share my Wi-Fi from my phone to the radio and use any online apps. including Google maps. my radio came with sygic GPS installed. and it works awesome.
Im not sure if this has been asked before, ive gone through and didnt see it, but can you listen to music while using navigation, and also, have you used any of the amplifier preouts? if so, are the signals clean?
+Shane Napaul Yes, Music + Nav works, I do that all the time. No issues or lag while doing this. I use the Subwoofer preouts for my mono amp. From what I can tell the signals are clean.
+Chippernut Thanks for the quick reply. Since you are using only the subwoofer preout, I assume youre using the built in mosfet to drive your speakers. How clean is the signal from the built in amp? Ive seen somewhere that these android cheap units have a hiss on their built in amp, does yours do this or is it just a game of luck? And has it slowed down at all over the time that youve had it?
+Shane Napaul Correct. I was actually worried about the sound quality at first when I bought it, i'm not a total audiophile, but I appreciate a noise-clean sound, (I'm the type of guy that will get irritated by coins barely rattling in a cup holder) and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with this unit. The sound quality is good enough that I can't tell a difference from my previous SONY touchscreen unit. However, there is a very, very small whine/hiss when the volume is at zero (only when audio is playing), but it's so minuscule I can't remember the last time I heard it. (My exhaust is also pretty loud). It's probably not too terrible to isolate/filter out anyways, but like I said, it's so minor for me that I don't even notice it.
+Chippernut Thank you! Ive been looking at these for a while, somehow only just came across your video, but I was unsure about them because of their sound quality, but if you say its good, and the preouts work fine, then I may actually consider one! Thanks for the replies!
Are you able to use Google Maps instead of the "iGO" navigation? Also, were you able to play music while its navigating? I found this video from My.IS, my stock subs recently blew and i'm looking for some ideas for upgrade. :) Great Video, appreciate you spending the time to share.
Christopher Lau Yes - you can use Google Maps. You just need a WiFi connection. A mobile hotspot or your phone (if equipped) will work. that's the benefit of iGo, no Wifi needed. Also, Yes, you can play music while navigating and using other apps (it'll even play multiple music apps simultaneously if you're not careful, like Spotify and the radio). Glad you found this helpful
+Chippernut Hey so i installed the unit besides some minor hiccups with the dash kit, it works great! Im having a little trouble remapping the keys. Didyou go to the "other" tab under factory settings to change the buttons. I want to change the navigation button to open Google Maps by default
I figured it out! you don't need to go into the factory settings. If you go to the regular Settings under the Tab of GPS, there is an option that will allow you to change the default application.
oh for sure. i just bought a different unit, still functions the same way, and have a 2TB HDD plugged into it with ALL my music and movies lol. it's a beautiful thing.
might take some work depending on your vehicle to route a cable around to where it is easily accessible. I put mine in my glove box, other's use their center console.
Sorry, no. I don't think they make this one anymore, but you can still find updated versions of this. Just search ebay for android car stereo and you'll be on your way.
iGo is one of the best apps out there, highly customisable if you check out the forums, also allows you to add poi's using google earth, I use it all the time to create a list of sites I have to visit which are not easy to find using post codes, I then save them as a KML file into igo\content\userdata\poi iGo then places a folder within the poi system on the unit and it is tap and go :)
Ben Zhu it does have lot of power in my opinion. I just bought android head unit from eBay. I got installed my self, and it works real good. lots of options. I don't know how long it will last. after 3 days is working awesome. thanks for the video
It's actually a very good question. Stock stereos seem to have a lot less power than aftermarket and don't sound nearly as good. Looking at some aftermarket stereos some have 45x4 and some are 50x4. Occasionally you will see other numbers.
VanAwesome I would assume so, Google Maps works exactly like any other Android device , turn-by-turn and the built-in-microphone should work w/ any voice apps. I'll test it out today, but i'm fairly confident it would work
+Kevin Martinez The unit does not have "OK Google" -- but it does have the button for voice searching. I tried it on my unit and it did not work - but it's an android device, it's probably just some apk or app that I haven't installed correctly to enable that feature. I didn't spend a lot of time trying to figure it out. I think it's safe to assume it's possible with some work.
Hey man, I figured out how to install apps on the sd cards on these radios. pretty easy, dont know if you tried this, but if your interested I can let you know. I installed Spotify on the SD card so I would have enough room on the card to download all my music.
Nice!!! Excellent suggestion, thanks for posting.
Thanks... Just ordered one. Still waiting for it to come in..
In Spotify settings there's an option to store offline available music on your SD instead of internal storage
Do you recommend this model sites.google.com/site/CarEntertainment101

+Ethan Plummer Yup! That's it. Pretty easy. I wired the camera power and the 12V in to the radio on the same switch. Worked like a charm.
And now the most important question. How is the sound?
Thank you so much for the video, password 126 did work on mine too and I managed to change various settings key lights and Logo etc. Many thanks
i love it buh tell me @chippernut should i purchase it. what do you suggest? plz reply
I have one too. The RK3188 1024x600. Ever since I got it the volume knob doesn't work properly. How's yours?

thank you for sharing this info, is there a limit for the SD card size?
Hi great video
When you listen to the radio is it just the frequency that shows on the display or will it show station name ?
Ness Monkey It does receive digital information such as station callsign, artist, and song - but only for stations that transmit that info.
can you plug in aux cord?
+Kevin Martinez RCA only I believe.
hello! nice review! how is your head-unit holding up? any problems with it? thanks!

how is the xrross unit doing, still working good?, i do like whati see but not muany reviews, what is your updated review??

how do you stop it from making a beeping noise every time you tap the screen
curious, if you add a SD card can you save your Spotify playlists their for offline use? thanks for the video. cheers
Looks like a nice unit...the ebay link seems outdated.

kingprankster69 Hi!
+j shum
yeah, the frequency response for the tuner is 100 Hz to only 10 KHz. Kinda lame
Mine is not recognizing the 3g dongle and I am not able to set functions to the soft buttons. Do you have any idea how to solve this? Is there a way to put this android in developer mode on Android 5.1.1?
Hey can you tell me what launcher that is? I just purchased a different model and would like that launcher thanks!
Thanks for making this video!
Could you pair your OBDII and your phone at the same time?
flint and steel Yes that's no problem.
Have you tried the app 'Kodi' by any chance? If so, is it fully functional?
Now can this be connected to the ac unit in the car to control it like a standard one that come with the a new car?
So does this plays the radio on the background when using other apps or you have to have the radio screen always opened and when using navigation app on the screen, the radio is shut down?
ivari1234 Yes - it will play the radio in the background. To shut the radio off you have to use the "BACK" button.. Simply hitting the "HOME" button will leave the radio playing in the background. Navigation and radio will play audio at the same time.
i have a question is how android system duplicate monitor...coz i got minivan...want to use the back monitor to see the same screen as the head unit
I have the same one and it's super buggy. Maps freeze, gps deactivates, random reboots, etc.
How did the car logo pop on the screen i just ordered an android radio and want the chevy logo to pop up
Does it support the release of audio and video from a phone via bluetooth? Do the controls on the steering wheel work?
how do I get a used but good unit for my 2007 Chrysler Aspen limited?
did it fit with a standard 7in double din kit i have a 06 chrysler 300 with the 7in double din kit
Hey how did you get the Lexus logo at the start up? I have basically the exact unit and I can't figure it out, thanks.
You have to go into the factory settings menu. I think the code is 126
Do anyone have a link to it? Or the name of it?
Check the dev's firmware file server page on the XDA site:
huifei.fs-fileserver.de/content/firmware/
Also ensure you pick the file that has JY 4.4.4 800x480 and the latest version.
***** Thanks for the info & tips! I might give this a try. If you get time to test if you can get apps on the front SD card, please let me know how that goes. this would be the largest benefit IMO. I'll do some more reading and research
did you figure a way to use Bluetooth from your phone and the obd adapter at the same time?
how did you make the frame stay on the front? mine come with a frame that just falls off,
+Csaba Farkas Mine is the exact same way.. I think I flipped it upside down and it fit just slightly more snug, but mine falls off if you touch it basically. A little VHB or double-sided tape would probably help.
Can I play music from the iPhone and share it from bluetooth?
Hi, where did you get the Frame around the Device ? did it came with it ? or can you provide a link ?
greetings from Finland
moe Bustami The frame bezel came with it.. The mounting kit was a METRA kit for an IS300.
Can you control the brightness and is there an easy button to press for screen off?
Any problems with your music apps playing only in the front speakers I can't get Pandora or Spotify to play in the rear
The boot up time is a bit long, but I dont mind it so much.
is there a multi page button or function? nice video by the way! !
thanks for putting up this video! Did you do the install yourself? If so, was it pretty easy? thanks.
hi i recently bought one like this, but my calls are loud and distorted
have you had any problems with it, i have been looking at them for a while but just dont want to be having problems with it all the time.
david bluff I can't honestly say this is a "set it and forget it" head-unit.
Has your wifi ever given you issues ? mine is currently stuck " Wifi turning on"
and doesnt turn on at all .BTW nice IS300 bc of you I purchased this deck last year never had issues except for igo being shitty and now the wifi issue
Hi,
Where did fou find the frame for this unite ? I really want one of these but i'm affraid there will be a gap of empty space around it once I installe it :/
Thank you !
+Costa Diogo I bought the mounting frame off Amazon. It was a "METRA" unit specific for my car. This is not a standard double din, so some fabrication may be required..
So is tbis unit powered by the Internet from your cell. Maps and Pandora and stuff.
ELTORO619 I chose Spotify as my music provider because I can download all the music files and play them locally without internet. I also use the iGo navigation app that stores it's own data w/o internet. It is possible to use your Hotspot or mobile phone (if equipped) to provide internet Wifi
Hi guys I bought this device but I don't know how to get Canada Maps for Igo Nav App?
So can I mirror my HTC to this and use my 4g and other providers service off the head unit? Also how does the radio work as far as getting reception?
Rctracing I believe screen mirroring works, but I haven't tried it. As far as reception goes, it's the same as other 'brand name' headunits I've used. No better, No worse. Hope this helps.
Am i to assume this deck wouldnt play nice with iphone?
Can you upgrade the OS on this unit? now I have 4.4.2
can you pair your smartphone Spotify and control the radio app?
Does it play music through bluetooth?
try to use video out to hook up to my head rest dvd's , but can't figure it out, no images , any ideas?
hu
What is the resolution of the screen, 1024x600 or 800x480
The only one I didn't try was setting Spotify to EXTREME quality... that might work.. i'll give it a shot and let you know.

forums.androidcentral.com/moto-e-2014/394222-moto-e-how-change-default-storage-external-sd.html
The biggest concern I had was bricking it.. which is entirely possible.
I've bought this unit too; I've the quad core version.
Right now seems to be impossible installing apps on external SD.
Greatings from Italy.....
What was the price please? I'm lazy to watch the whole video.
I found out if you change the preferred installation path you can install apps to the external SD card
Can you elaborate on the factor settings menu
T Will I'd be interested in hearing what you found out -- When I did this, it didn't go to the external SD card, it just want to a secondary internal memory called NAND -- not my actual SD card. It wasn't until I replaced the ROM that was actually able to get Apps and Data on the external.. I wish I could, I honestly still don't know what some of those settings do in factory settings menu. sorry.
+Chippernut once I installed the 16gb (of course a class 10) and once inserted I was able to install more apps
Is Google Maps an available app, and have you messed with the steering wheel controls if it has such a function?
You can use Google maps and most of the units have steering wheel controls or they can be added through a harness.
How much was it and can you multi task like listen to the radio while you get navigation?
+BiggerByte yes you can
Hi. can you use Google maps as navigation instead of igo?
Matthew Ives yes
Matthew Ives
I bought a radio just like this one. but mine came with android 6.0 marshmallow operating system, it works so nice. I can share my Wi-Fi from my phone to the radio and use any online apps. including Google maps. my radio came with sygic GPS installed. and it works awesome.
Does it require Wifi to function? Meaning, will my phone need to be a hot-spot for this head unit to function with GPS and other like apps?
for a few apps you'd need internet access. not for the GPS app though. that's stored locally on the micro sd that goes in the bottom left of the unit.
awesome, thanks!
how is the sound quality & how accurate is the gps system
+Shane Napaul No problem! I haven't tried the other preouts -- but the subwoofer one works great. Glad I could help.
I'm having the same issue. -- I don't know how to select the other app. If you figure it out, let me know.
I figured it out! you don't need to go into the factory settings. If you go to the regular Settings under the Tab of GPS, there is an option that will allow you to change the default application.
Awesome!! Thanks!
how do you close the apps running in the background?
You press the three squares in the top and then swipe the apps up
you should use an external hdd plugged into the back of the unit to extend your application and media storage.
Aaron Andrews Does that work?
oh for sure. i just bought a different unit, still functions the same way, and have a 2TB HDD plugged into it with ALL my music and movies lol. it's a beautiful thing.
might take some work depending on your vehicle to route a cable around to where it is easily accessible. I put mine in my glove box, other's use their center console.
Do you have the eBay link for this product? You should be able to see purchase history. I would love to have one!
Sorry, no. I don't think they make this one anymore, but you can still find updated versions of this. Just search ebay for android car stereo and you'll be on your way.
How do you get it to play 📀 while moving?
iGo is one of the best apps out there, highly customisable if you check out the forums, also allows you to add poi's using google earth, I use it all the time to create a list of sites I have to visit which are not easy to find using post codes, I then save them as a KML file into igo\content\userdata\poi iGo then places a folder within the poi system on the unit and it is tap and go :)
Does it have enough power to power your speakers?
Ben Zhu it does have lot of power in my opinion.
I just bought android head unit from eBay. I got installed my self, and it works real good. lots of options.
I don't know how long it will last. after 3 days is working awesome.
thanks for the video
What the fuck kind of question is that 😂 ain’t this a damn radio what else would it do
It's actually a very good question. Stock stereos seem to have a lot less power than aftermarket and don't sound nearly as good. Looking at some aftermarket stereos some have 45x4 and some are 50x4. Occasionally you will see other numbers.
Why is the boot so long? Link?
sync with Ipod? how about Siriusxm?
It's a eBay seller selling some of those similar head units for $39.99! I just brought a real nice one for 80 bucks.
link please ???
+alejandro perez it was scam, I paid for two of them but I receive my money back.
+Chevy Lamar ok thanks for leting me know man
can you demo google maps ? Does it do voice commands like "ok google" etc.. thanks!
VanAwesome I would assume so, Google Maps works exactly like any other Android device , turn-by-turn and the built-in-microphone should work w/ any voice apps. I'll test it out today, but i'm fairly confident it would work
+Chippernut How'd google maps do?
+Kevin Martinez The unit does not have "OK Google" -- but it does have the button for voice searching. I tried it on my unit and it did not work - but it's an android device, it's probably just some apk or app that I haven't installed correctly to enable that feature. I didn't spend a lot of time trying to figure it out. I think it's safe to assume it's possible with some work.
+Chippernut are you able to download HERE Maps app (navigation) and download the maps for offline use?
+serx1984 and also I`m assuming no google play store?
you can root and change partition on gps car to add apps and resize part
let's see how it looks with the buick logo
you know how to update the igo maps
Hey man, I figured out how to install apps on the sd cards on these radios. pretty easy, dont know if you tried this, but if your interested I can let you know. I installed Spotify on the SD card so I would have enough room on the card to download all my music.
you don't need a CD player its 2016
how did you get it to boot with the lexus logo? and is the navigation free?
IVIathemagician See 4:34 ua-cam.com/video/BcwNr0KU4q4/v-deo.htmlm34s and yes, the iGO navigation is free. Thanks for stopping by!
How does the unit remember the time?
sweeet.... I can't wait to have it updated to Lollipop
how much bhp after the button re-map?
