Hey I just got a 64mm 6x6 billet wheel with a 10 blade turbine and my truck seems to smoke more then it ever did at take off with like maybe 1/4 throttle um on gear head 8k tow tune do you think something else is wrong ?
What turbo were you running before and are your tunes updated for the new turbo. I would double check all sensors and connections. The the tube that goes to your map sensor, check maf sensor connection as well and lastly your vgt solenoid connection. Nothing else should have been undone during replacement. Make sure no boost leaks or exhaust leaks with the y pipe to turbo connection
Can you send me a full mod list of your truck. I mean a slight increase in smoke at take off wouldn't be unheard of but unless you really get in it from a stop it shouldn't smoke horrible

@jasonkushnir4984 on a completely stock truck that isn't studded I would only run a tow tune for it. I ran a tow tune for about 7 years and it was great. Do you tow at all or plan to? If so how heavy? Do you plan to have head studs done in the future on your truck? I will be hauling upwards of 8-14k pounds in the future, And had plans of bulletproofing the truck as well as keeping it for a long time. So I feel if I buy a stage 1 now I will regret it in the future as I will be doing work to the engine. But the truck NEEDS a new turbo asap and I’m trying to find out if I can put on a stage 2 turbo for the time being before I give it all the upgrades it’ll need, without tuning it before the necessary upgrades are in place.

I run Calibrated Power Solutions Stealth 67 and it is a beast. 77x71.5 10 blade turbine sounds insane and I can pull 12k WOT on my SRL from Gearhead with a 40hp FICM tune on 35s no less. EGTs barley touch 1200
I love the 6.0! The powermax is a great turbo for the price it is very hard to beat. That said I do believe similarly sized minded turbos are a bit better. However they come with a price tag of at least 300-500 more than a powermax. Hi Jared. Hope you are well. I have a 2004 Ford 6.0L. No Cat convert, S&B air filter. Bullet proofed. Last year I bought this Turbo Time stage 2 64mm turbo. I have a SCT Tuner. While it tows fine, when it is set on street performance, (100 horsepower) it does not as well as the stock trubo. It sounds like for more air than fuel when idling up. Asking what you recommend for the best tune for this setup? I have spoke with Blessed tunes. What else should i look at to get the most HP/boost with this turbo. I value your thoughts. Thanks Jared.

I might have to invest in this turbo. I have an 04 6.0 on a 4 inch lift on 35 inch tires with no gear reduction. Because I do a lot of highway driving I love the 35s cause I can keep my rpms down but Im just lugging the shit out of the motor on acceleration and when the truck is in overdrive. When I get it studed I might just have to buy this turbo. Great video🤙
It is a great turbo, and I feel it is an excellent all around turbo. You may want to look at their 61mm turbo too for a possible upgrade. It will spools faster and be less prone to the logging issue you currently have. The discount code six0bros will give you 5% off
35s and 4.10 would be very close to the final gear ratio of a stock truck. Though some guys do recommend the 4.30s but they typically are looking a strictly towing performance. So 4.10 if you want more of a factory ratio 4.30s if you want a little more umph while towing at slower highway speeds. Which will have you at a higher rpm too. Also 4.30s will get slightly worse fuel economy

I remember seeing a Video from you couple years ago, on your screen shot said best turbo upgrade i believe. Believe it was the Billet Compressor Wheel and Compressor Housing from KC Turbos. There isn't much of a power difference between the 10 Blade Turbine and 13 Blade Turbine Wheel, but for Towing i believe the 13 Blade Turbine Wheel is supposed to be better. The 10 Blade is just for the Whistle Noise.
It wasn't the actual kc turbo housing it was from a company turbo labs America and it never worked right and he messed up the housing as far as clocking it correctly and as far as machining it. I tried working with him for a resolution and he stopped responding. I was super mad at the time, but that is one thing I wanted this channel to help with was for those appealing budget options are they good or not. I do think for towing 63.5to 64mm compressor wheels are a great addition. They say the 13 blade is better but really it is just better low in the rpm band. The 10 blade will aid in when you're really working the truck to keep egt in check. Power wise I would say there is very little for this size turbo. I think it really comes down to where you want the power. I lean towards top end keeping exhaust temps down while pulling a grade. They both do have their pros and cons.

I do hope he has fixed his quality control issues and is better about customer service, but i will not send people his way with the experience I have had with him. Now turbo time usa has been great. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback about them from people that bought their turbos since my videos. Now I do try and be very honest while I do believe Turbo Time USA to be one of the best out there right now. @@six0bros Yes, i currently have KC Stage 2, i made 572 HP and 1016 Ft lbs. With my current combo. I would like to make 750 HP or a little more. Gonna be going NON VGT, probably s475 or s476 and some Warren 250/100 Hybrids. Love my KC but even there Stage 3 won't get me to 750 HP. Just don't wanna make the same mistake i did last year when i completely Bullet Proofed my Truck and did all my Performance Upgrades. Wish i went Bigger with Turbo and Injector sizes. Few people recommend the s369, but that will probably top out around 725 HP

Sorry I have a similar thumbnail for the turbos I have reviewed lol. So the 64mm turbo is what I recommend for most people. I also have reviews on their 66mm turbo. Basically the 64mm will work well with stock I injectors up to about a 205/30.

If you're looking for the most cost effective way to get a loud exhaust whistle, just purchase the factory 03 turbo. It will fit in all the turbo pedestals. You just wont use the rear bolt. If you want a little increase in performance over the stock turbo but not over the top their stage 1 is a 61mm compressor wheel. Really meant for stock injectors although it would work well with anything using a stock nozzle. I personally am a big fan of the 64mm turbos. I think they are great all around and work well with stock injectors up to a 205/30. If you want even more sound the velocity port turbos while more expensive have a very cool intake whistle to them. safe you can push 1250 for a good bit however I personally back out if they stay that high for long. However that has not been an issue. I have always seen a spike when I first start a grade then the egt's come down pretty quick and pulling the grade settle in around 1050ish. cruising on flat ground I am around 800-1000

On paper they are similar but I do know that there are differences in the exducer of the wheels, and obviously a different compressor wheel. Now while Turbo Time USA is a great company with great people. KC turbo has built an amazing reputation as well. Either turbo is truthfully excellent. I of course side with Turbo Time USA and I firmly believe they are going to continue to grow and become one of the top names in the industry. I have not had the fuel pressure checked under pressure. I did run fine with the stocked turbo & SCT tuner set at 60 HP.

I have an 06 f350 6.0 with 35x12.50r18 as well and seems to lugg like you mentioned. What gear ratio would you suggest to go with?
@@Carnage6.0L My truck stock is 3.73 rear gear. I'd probably run a 4.10 or 4.11 and that should bring it closer to stock with 35s
