As music technologies evolve, it is heartening that people like you are filling in the knowledge gap of how ToonTrack products work. They owe you [$$$] big time for their failed responsibility to explain their products like EZDrummer and Superior Drummer. Ironic because the products are pretty amazing. Who would even know if it wasn't for your hard work to explain it. This particular video has been a long time coming so thank you for your outstanding presentation.

I couldn’t attend the livestream yesterday but have caught up today. This was really informative and fun. The breadth of choice is amazing. I had no idea you could right click on a note and sometimes change the brush swirl time. I always learn something from you. Cheers Shawn!

Great to hear. When the sample is so slightly off, it's hard to tell whether it's Round Robin kicking in or not. So i didn't want to say anything as fact at the moment.
Super helpful. I was looking for a brush kit and this will help me choose. Liking the Singer-Songwriter so far. Appreciate your time and effort making these guides.

Thanks Shawn. I'm only about half way through cuz I'm spending time playing with everything you're demonstrating. I've found a lot of inspiration already. I'm pretty sure I've never even opened Custom Shop before, and I just now spent about 20 minutes checking out the brushes. Great stuff, brother. Inspired by the stream I continued to explore. I find the Custom Shop EZX has a a lot of good options on this topic. I have been pairing it with the Acoustic Songwriter packs that are onsale across the products. Something really different for me but I am digging it.

I think I picked up the Hip Hop EZX when it was offered in a general EZX sale. I picked it up for the samples and its ample kit slot template.

You have so many of the EZX expansions. I would be interested in a video of your custom kits created from mixing and matching kit pieces from various EZX expansions. Do you have any monster custom kits created from an EZX kit with a large number of kit slots?
I don't do anything extravagant. I do explain the process in my paid course on my site. Hip-Hop, Dance, Claustrophobic have the most slots if my memory serves. But if you want more of an analog room/processing, you may as well just use the EZD3 Bright Room or something.

So, signature seems to be the EZX to get, when you want to Add a brush kit to EZDrummer 3. Kinda bummed they made it such a small kit with only 2 Toms and 2 Crash cymbals. I'm a drummer and I hate it when kits have less than 3 toms 😄 Could I just open a larger drum kit and then replace all the parts with the brush parts from this kit? Then maybe just tune some of the toms higher/lower? For example take the bright room from the core library with all those cymbals and toms...
That's possible, though you'll lose some of the sound processing. If you're edrumming or willing to take on a programming headache, you could use multiple instances of EZD instead.

You build them yourself with the Grid Editor or by performing them and recording them.
