Hi, I really like the video!! I was thinking about buying this tarp tent myself. I'm interested in wat pole you're using to pitch the tarp with? Friendly greetings from the Netherlands!
@skateyvesyt5368 From Amazon, seems like a good purchase. Brands say, Imgokaha... Seems more heavy duty then trekking poles and then could leave tent up to go for summit with poles
I didn't know it had peanuts.... that was the worst part about the whole thing lol 😆 eating it was definitely still way better than carrying it out would have been
Two of the worst things about winter backpacking: 1) there will always be condensation on the inside and outside of your tent and 2) packing up. I have yet to experience the third: using a wag bag. 😆
Haha!! Yeah condensation is a battle, I've only winter backpacked though so it's the only life I know! If more than 1 night, get boiling water in nalgenes and slowly dry out before packing up and when getting to next camp... Best things about winter backpacking- 1- no people 2- no bugs!
It's mainly for winter camping so no bugs! Mice aren't stopped by much if they smell food as well 😞 they make a bug net/floor insert for it but it weighs more than the tent/pole weigh. My first ever time without a floor, in the snow you really don't notice!!
Hiked there many times. Love it.😊
My first ever trip was there last year!!! Could definitely tell I learned alot in a year with how well this one went!
Cool set up.

If your meal is too soupy, I think they call that "Type 2 Hydration."

Bears are hibernating
@stephenalexander6721 there was actually a few tracks down by the lake at start of the start of the hike!!
I’d never have a tent without an attached floor. Mice and bugs and little critters are not welcome. 🦝🐇🐿️🦨🪶🦔
