Good video mate. 1.7kg is amazing considering it's a 4 person(ish) tent and 4 season. It's lighter than my Meteor 2 man tent! I'm in the market for a 4 season tent...oh hang on, do I really need another tent. 🤔

Oh man! I thought I finally found the perfect tent: compact, lightweight, but still enough space for 3 people and HIGH!

Are there similar tents (pyramid, enough space for 3, light) that are faster / easier to set up?
Hi Welcome to my channel, thank you for watching! I've pitched this since the video and managed to pitch alot quicker, the main reason this pitch took a while was because i only had an inch of ground to go into... practice makes perfect! Buy the outer (it's not that expensive) try it out and if you don't like it send it back! .. it's a good tent ⛺️

@@krasky I'd probably say more or less 10-15 mins .. depends how long you spend tweaking though!
I have the same tent (without the MSR inner) and it takes me around 5 minutes to get it set up the way I like. There is plenty of space inside. With a few mods you can install a one person inner from a different brand. All you will need is some shock cord and some extra pegs. MSR ought to develop a range of add-ons because it is a cracking product. Very lightweight too. Never tested in heavy conditions though. One thing to bear in mind is that it is approx 160cm in height. It is not a low profile setup.
@@cyrilhaessig27 I find if I put the inner and outer together when packing away the next time i pitch it's much quicker. I can get the whole thing pitched in around 10 minutes now, but it has taken alot of practice
Great video rob ! was amazed when you said it took 30 minutes to erect, which is too long if you pitching in bad weather. Also the exterior tarp seams to be well off the floor leading me to believe that a gust of wind and that would be gone? seems plenty of room inside although i recon it wouldnt take 4 lol!
