2:56 Paissa are the fuzzy bipeds with the blank thousand-yard-stare, found in the Sea of Clouds and Il Mheg, among other places. The lizard-like scalekin we see here is called a Peiste. Small mistake, but I thought it worth pointing out.
That’s what I meant to say, you’d think I’d remembered from the pissed peiste. thanks for the correction! This is why you should not edit at 2am….alternatively this is a pretty funny mental image.
17:23 One thing you didn't mention was the new character in the Skalla Trust setup. We see Arenvald and Alphinaud, as expected, but the final member of the party is J'moldva, a minor Ala Mhigan character with a distinct look. She first appeared in 1.0, fighting in Ul'dah's coliseum under the epithet 'The Hellfire Phoenix.' After a cameo or two in 2.0, she eventually ended up joining the Ala Mhigan Resistance in 4.0, fighting alongside Arenvald and V'mah Tia to help liberate her homeland. She's still in Rhalgr's Reach to this day.
Yshtola talked last patch about how the sundering is fading whithout hydaelyn (or how the aether is trying to converge again now she's gone i don't remember how it was phrased)
Maybe the 12 will hold the reflections in her place
I think we will either get to see a mysterious 13th god or we could see a rush aspect of all the gods where they all gang up on us.
Still think the 13th is Watcher.
The Crystal Tower is literally a machine that was originally designed to channel huge amounts of aether from its world to the Void. And it resides now in the First, which is awash in excess Light-aspected aether. I'm going to be disappointed if that doesn't come up.
Is there any reason the tower can’t warp to the Thirteenth?
@maxspecs a few things
1) If you did one of the ShB sidequests. Our WOL damaged a certain thing that helped the CT get into the first.
2) It will need to use a lot of aether and were not even know how to operate it.
3) There's no guarantee that it would even get to the thirteenth or it would even get there at the present time and I'm pretty sure the portal to the void it previously had was sealed.

I'm super hyped for this patch. A couple of thoughts I have:
- I feel silly now for not noticing it when Dawntrail was announced, but the group Galuf was a part of when he had his adventures around the world was the Dawn Warriors/Warriors of the Dawn. Galuf might be a big part of the expansion and we might get to find out more about Galuf's past and his 3 companions.
-As for the alliance raid, my 2 guesses for the missing boss is either they take The Watcher and bring him down from the moon and make him like them, or possibly some sort of boss rush of all the 12 swapping in and out. I'm super looking forward to answers to this question.
I assume they're going to go with the most story impactful option than the coolest one. My hope for the boss rush though is that one day we'll get an ultimate for the 12.
the tribal quest seems to be, at least to me, like a race involving all the peoples of Ultima Thule with the Loporrits as the commentators, perhaps the thavnarians gave them the idea.
The "pixie" is likely a faerie, with no relation to the First. Which being in the South Sea Isles, seems to imply Lalas were summoning faeries even before coming ip with the SCH job at Nym.
Still no idea how she got a gun, though..

11:01 this breakdown of Golbez and his plan fitting into the themes of Endwalker is neat. Kinda fitting that our last big obstacle was born from the final remaining piece of Zodiark.
Around 5:00 I gotta mention. This patch content for Endwalker has focused on five characters, making up the standard Five Man Band of the trope... With the guy with the lance not being the lancer, and the girl not being the heart. No, the Leader is Vrtra, who brings the major narrative motivation. Y'stola is the Smart One, an easy fit for her. Estinien being the Heart of the team, the one telling the Leader to follow his emotions. Zero is a perfect Lancer, managing to foil off everyone: selfishly motivated, where Vrtra wants to help others, knowledgeable about the 13th, where Y'stola knows the Source, confused as to what she wants when Estinien is so sure of himself. And the Warrior of Light... is the party Tough Guy/Powerhouse, able to win in any fight, but needs Zero's help to END those fights with voidsent.
You can actually hear the battle music for Thaleia in the live letter, and it’s a rendition of the Limsa theme that’s pretty awesome
That faerie with a gun is probably stranded from Corvos. Especially since Corvos, is probably, where the Source's faerie lives as what the description of Magicked Carpet mount described. Of course, the Faerie queen who crafted the mount was later murdered by the ancient king of Corvos who requested her to make the mount.
God, that water parting section looks insane to experience. I would think that's in a cutscene, but no, you see players running around while it's parting. I love the sea, I'm so excited for the alliance raid

Pretty sure it's the Watcher! I think there's a note on the statue in the middle that we have to read that references him, so I'm hoping he pops in from the Moon like yo something else to finally do nice

4:25 I was wondering what that boss was supposed to be since I didn't remember that thing being in the moon in IV, I had *COMPLETELY* forgotten the dark elf existed

It's probably been mentioned already but just in case, they did recommend, explicitly, that players do Eden and Warring Triad before entering 6.5
Whether it be Gaia getting to do stuff or some very hmm dialogue, that's what they said to do before going into the patch
The speculation you go into is insane, I completely missed seeing the redwing knight and such! That's so cool, I'm eager to see what's in store!
I think what's going on with the Tribe Alliance quest is a race. It would make sense since the Arkasodara quest was about hippo racing, so why not extend it to an intergalactic race between various civilizations with the Loporrits as commentators?
I’m thinking the Watcher or The Patrons (a 6-on-24 fight against Halone, Nald’Thal, Rhalgar, Nophica, Thaliak and Llymlaen) as the final boss of Thaelia.

also the original Golbez was a mage, which give credence that he isn't the guy we see fighting along side us
Yoshi p confirmed there are dialogue/cutscene changes for 6.5 if you've completed Edens and the warring triad so Gaia may be there if that's the case
I find it's a 35% chance Zero is our Shard, 35% Golbez is our Shard, and 30% chance Durante is our Shard. And I for one would like to meet our other shards, and if Zero is indeed our Shard would like for them to actually be allies we fight alongside, not fuse with like we did Ardbert. Even if he might start feeling lonely in there. Oh well maybe our Dark Knight alter ego can keep him company.
I hold onto the theory that the 12 are not Hydaelin's creation, but Zodiark's.
During the questline we're never told they were made by Hydaelin. We were told they were made by the heart of the star. Which wasn't always Hydaelin.
Furthermore the similarities between the twelve with the convocation have been brought up before, and with Themis at the core of Zodiark it wouldn't be too surprising if he had created something resembling the 14 to help him keep balance.
Even the numbers line up, with the twelve, zodiark and the mysterious extra member adding up to the convocation's 14.
Would be cool if we fight... Meteor/Derplander. Not Ardbert, but rather a representation of us/Azem....
My first thought at the opening scene was "Is that the Troia castle place?" because it's been so long since I've been through that dungeon and the castle's style felt like an uncorrupted version from what little I remember. At the very least the base aesthetic is consistent if it's a different location entirely.
As for the Four Fiends reappearing,that's a tough one. Maybe it's a trip down memory lane like we briefly did in Bozja? If the team is trying to pry answers from Golbez, his mind may conjure the Fiends in defense. Or he may have had a backup plan to bring them back, which is why he seemed unconcerned with their ends. However it's explained, I look forward to having my tail kicked while figuring out what to dodge.
I think that Gaia,Unukalai and Silva will be in a post msq quest and not even be mentioned in MSQ.
They've gotta at _least_ get an offhand mention in MSQ, they're pretty good at doing that sort of thing in unvoiced dialogue
We don’t know for certain yet that the Watcher is the 13th god. That’s just what our researchers are assuming as yet. A twist could be in the works.
I thought the warrior of light from the thirteenth was the kid from warring triad. Also, spoiler, if you did all the shadow bringers roll quests. He moves locations from the stones to the first
Speaking of the new 24man alliance raid. Does anyone know how does the jug have infinitely flowing water? Asking for a really annoyed friend.
I'm assuming Asura may come in part 2 of the patch

I am betting the shot of Krile with the letter is probably either from a teaser at the very tail end of 6.5 or even from 6.55 and just included in the trailer as a tease.
It's interesting to note that the pixie, if it that is what it is, would be the first canonical appearance of one in the source. As for Asura, it's definitely Hildibrand. Vanhudi is copying himself with the saucer so he can use a lot of his own faith to summon a primal.
I think the secret 13th god is Deryk. I thought The Watcher was pretty clear that he was just a creation of hydealyn. Like Emet Selch’s Aumaurot Hythlodaeus isn’t the real Hythlo. Since Deryk was secret, he never got the dynamas prayers to transform like the others. And thus maintained his sundered human form. Maybe all the gods will pray together and trigger Deryk to transform and we’ll fight that. Who knows. Haha

I have a theory. Zero will charge her self with light aether, but like hw would you dispell it? You die, and all that aether thats inside her will be released into the 13th. The question becomes that is there enough stagnation to bring her back or will the light be enough to cause the wheel to start turning and hence end immortality on the 13th? I don't want Zero to die, but its a way they could do it. But that's only cause of how we didn't see Zero in a trailer for something else and like why would she not be there.

3:01.... Manticore is FF1. Morborls are just Marlboros which are in FF4, seen in like the underworld or the moon (lair of the father) and tge lizard thing is a named the wrong thing. You named it after the bird-owl thingies we can see in the Sea of Clouds, on the First they're called Phooka, lol.. you're thinking of the the scalekin in Thanalan it also started with a P. They are similar to the monsters seen 4 that can petrify you lol.
Oh... Oh gods... The way Zeromus is pronounced out is the same as in the DS version of FF4! Right. That's actually funny. I didn't realize that until you said it in this video, wows lol (probably wouldn't have until doing the actual patch because it's hard to in game/the trailer etc). XD
Hmmmm...... I don't know if the Twelve themselves will "disappear" after the raid is done, they themselves said they aren't primals, they're basically gods but truly what are they really?? Ancients transformed?? If they go will they be reborn anew amongst the races of the world as regular people?? So many people pray to them.... Maybe their gift will be something that "maintains" that or something. I actually hope we still have access to the raid area post it because I really like the little zone.
I also think Dyrek is Orchid himself, they look similar especially the hairstyle.

But when mentioning gundam you should have used the actual gundam reference with the g warriors introduction which is a reference to the Double Zeta gundam
Ruby us piloted as a mecha I felt it got the point across and was quicker to film.
I wonder if the 4 fiends are just a false form of them created by Z/Golbez.... its the only way it could really make sense
