Speaking AS a bass player I just think all this techno flash, million notes a minute with silly effects is wearing a bit thin.All these players are immensely talented and well schooled musicians but it won't appeal to the man in the street and it's getting a bit obvious too.I'd still rather listen to Tommy Cogbill or Bernard Edwards playing bass that contributes to a classic song that has mainstream appeal.
