You can go about this a different way that works way better. Use a relay that turns off and on when the trailer marker lights turn on. That relay powers a small 200w ac inverter. Plug a small 2/4 amp ac charger into the inverter. Battery charger isolates the truck.
Why not use an auto resetting breaker on the aux line sized to the aux line from the truck and replace the aux line fuse in the truck with a slow blow fuse. Way easier
Do you have a fuse on your hydraulic pump?
I do not but have thought about putting one. A fuse going to the small wires of the solenoid would not need to be very large but a fuse on the large wire feeding the motor may not be practical due to the heavy amp draw.
