The #2 Dynomax Bullets with Akrapovic Carbon tips was loud af and so good. The #3 Flowmaster Flow FX was a little muffled but very good and civilized. I bet the Motodyne is the best for VQ37. It sounds deep and it’s amazing .
I have a g35x 08 awd, muffler delete with 16 inch vibrant resonators (4 inches) and a new y pipe, sounds exactly like the #1 place. Absolutely love the sound, and the exhaust even does some aggressive pops when revving it if the car is running rich
@@rpgfeatures793 I actually did notice a difference when I switched from the stock very small resonators to 4 inch wide 16 inch long ones. They are much wider which allows for alot more airflow. This cars stock exhaust pipes are very very small and it's annoying. I suggest going with a 3" catback all the way back.
@@rpgfeatures793 Those cars are super hard to make loud. They are quite unless you do specific things to them. Even a straight pipe on those cars are somewhat quite to me tbh. I think your gonna need to change the down-pipes to make it sound amazing compared to just good.
I like the flow master that’s pretty deep .. the dino’s sound goood just a bit loud, but I think I fw the vibrant sound the best; it’s that low bass almost close to the bigger engines

@@vciq you'd most definitely have a low and deeper growl with an X pipe. Magnaflow has a Universal Tru-X pipe.. Keep in mind of you do that your exhaust system will become a True Dual. Also to lessen the ricey rasp, get two Vibrant Resonators to replace you factory set. Keep the muffler delete and add some 4 inch tips.. That thing will sound like a beast. Trust me
I had Vibrant Resonators and tbh, it’s meh. It does give your car a hell of a deeper tone compare to stock. However, it was way too quiet for my liking so i ended up removing em.

Just better off saving your money on it and save up till you get an actual exhaust.

I've got vibrant resonators with tanabe axlebacks, and I've still gotten pulled over for being too loud. I can't imagine driving around every day with a muffler delete.
Thanks for the format - idle, revs and WOT. I think they all sound great... I think, for me, 3 and 5 fit my subjective ear nowadays. I notice a difference between VQ owners vs Lexus owners. Lexus owners like to bounce the revs off the limiter like they just stole it. Infiniti owners seem to have a little more respect for their engines.

The link in the description is for Vibrant part# 1792, which is 2.5" in/out. Yet, the box shown in the video is Vibrant part# 1794. That part# is a 3" in/out. Which is correct?

@@itsjjack7177 I couldn’t find an example anywhere of anyone doing this so I actually went ahead and did that exact setup myself, swapped the factory parts for the vibrant 1790 resonators and flow master fx mufflers. imo I think it sounds pretty decent, much deeper and louder than stock without being obnoxious. I think it’s a perfect middle of the ground sound. I’m happy with it for now although I am considering getting test pipes or hfcs and/or an upgraded y pipe. Who knows, maybe I should’ve gone full cat back from the get go but I’m having fun playing with a custom set up so who cares lol

G37 came before the Q60. Infiniti renamed it the Q60(coupe) in 2014. They technically renamed the G37(sedan) the Q50 in 2015 but 2014 had the G37 sedan named the Q40 lol. Very confusing
Unlike the newer models the g37 and Q40 only comes in a 3.7L vq37vhr while in the rebranded Q50 and Q60 include a 3.0 twin turbo vq37vhr (comparison to the bmw n55 or b58 engine) along with the same 3.7L
im looking at a 12 g37s 60k miles for $11,500. they stated that it has a salvage title due to a light hit, any thoughts? l really like the gs and would like to get one for my first car
@@carlosmartinez-lm5iq the only one that sounded even remotely good was #3 with the factory exhaust up to the Flow FX mufflers. All the others were *rasp central.* You have to be really selective with how you modify the exhaust on the VQ or else it sounds like 🎺

I prefer Magnaflow products on these VQ engines. They seem to provide the growl that everybody wants without it being rasp city.

All you need is a rear muffler delete. The 3.7 is already a very loud and raspy engine. When it's straight piped, it sounds horrible!

Unlike the newer models the g37 and Q40 only comes in a 3.7L vq37vhr while in the rebranded Q50 and Q60 include a 3.0 twin turbo vq37vhr (comparison to the bmw n55 or b58 engine) along with the same 3.7L
im looking at a 12 g37s 60k miles for $11,500. they stated that it has a salvage title due to a light hit, any thoughts? l really like the gs and would like to get one for my first car
at least you can mod it all you want and not have to worry and salvage is up too you and you care about resell value

What I've learned from this video:
Don't touch the resonators, and keep some kind of mufflers in there.
How come. I was thinking deleting the resonators only. Sounds the best and cheapest
@@carlosmartinez-lm5iq the only one that sounded even remotely good was #3 with the factory exhaust up to the Flow FX mufflers.
All the others were *rasp central.* You have to be really selective with how you modify the exhaust on the VQ or else it sounds like 🎺

Number three car hands done sounds the best in my opinion
You delete too many parts from the stock exhaust and they are too loud and just sound annoying 🙄
