I love how you show the decibel level so we can at least get an idea of how loud it’ll be good stuff man
I like this video because is shows what most people will do and how the car will sound without spending $1k+ for an exhaust
Motordyne is hands down the best sound for this car and that’s pretty well known throughout the vq community, personally not a fan of single exits as they are raspier and tend to be obnoxiously loud.
Tomei paired with test pipes best sound imo

@@DinoPon3 i’m working on a custom exhaust personally, like you said some people don’t have 2k lying around so I’m just buying pipes and resonators when i can afford them. Rn I only have to get a resonated y pipe and aftermarket resonators and then technically I have a full exhaust.

The #2 Dynomax Bullets with Akrapovic Carbon tips was loud af and so good.
The #3 Flowmaster Flow FX was a little muffled but very good and civilized.
I bet the Motodyne is the best for VQ37. It sounds deep and it’s amazing .

Word that’s why I’m going with this setup soon. SCS sounds good too but only with HFC’s.
Finally someone who agrees I really think it’s not to muffled and excessive, it’s just nice and unique

I have a g35x 08 awd, muffler delete with 16 inch vibrant resonators (4 inches) and a new y pipe, sounds exactly like the #1 place. Absolutely love the sound, and the exhaust even does some aggressive pops when revving it if the car is running rich

@@rpgfeatures793 I actually did notice a difference when I switched from the stock very small resonators to 4 inch wide 16 inch long ones. They are much wider which allows for alot more airflow. This cars stock exhaust pipes are very very small and it's annoying. I suggest going with a 3" catback all the way back.

@@rpgfeatures793 Those cars are super hard to make loud. They are quite unless you do specific things to them. Even a straight pipe on those cars are somewhat quite to me tbh. I think your gonna need to change the down-pipes to make it sound amazing compared to just good.

Mine is 2.5” custom cat back with a magnaflow 11386 in the center and then 2 ultra quiets after the 11386 X. No muffler. Also it’s paired to some 100 Cell Z1 HFC

Honestly one of the best options for a coupe is a muffler delete or axle back... A lot of other setups too raspy

Muffler delete is really raspy
I like the flow master that’s pretty deep .. the dino’s sound goood just a bit loud, but I think I fw the vibrant sound the best; it’s that low bass almost close to the bigger engines
I have the flowmasters on my car definitely recommend.

They all sounds great. I love Infinitis. #4 tho coupe does not have stock tips. The stock tips are oval shape and much smaller

they all sound good i would like to put a set of headers on our 76 squarebody chevey we ssaw one on the road just not a squarebody it was like a s10 or something and it sounded good our 76 chevey has a chery bomb on it and in neutruel it sounds like a diesle

I've got vibrant resonators with tanabe axlebacks, and I've still gotten pulled over for being too loud. I can't imagine driving around every day with a muffler delete.

l like the sound of the Vibrant, but there seems to be a discrepancy. The video mentions 2.5" in/out, which I believe is the correct diameter. The link in the description is for Vibrant part# 1792, which is 2.5" in/out. Yet, the box shown in the video is Vibrant part# 1794. That part# is a 3" in/out. Which is correct?

Thanks for the format - idle, revs and WOT. I think they all sound great... I think, for me, 3 and 5 fit my subjective ear nowadays.
I notice a difference between VQ owners vs Lexus owners.
Lexus owners like to bounce the revs off the limiter like they just stole it. Infiniti owners seem to have a little more respect for their engines.

Tomei is a little loud for my taste. So I went with full motordyne exhaust system hfc included.

Bro what. Lol. Muffler delete means no muffler. You don’t swap anything. You cut muffler off and weld pipe and tips.

I had Vibrant Resonators and tbh, it’s meh. It does give your car a hell of a deeper tone compare to stock. However, it was way too quiet for my liking so i ended up removing em.

@@Zomby3 Yeah currently I’m running Muffler/Resonator delete on my 14’ Q60. I will be purchasing a Tomei exhaust soon. Can’t wait for that. But in the meantime I’m focusing on cosmetics, and getting other mods done for the car.
But anyways, with the Vibrants i was pretty disappointed. Just better off saving your money on it and save up till you get an actual exhaust.

@@itsjjack7177 I couldn’t find an example anywhere of anyone doing this so I actually went ahead and did that exact setup myself, swapped the factory parts for the vibrant 1790 resonators and flow master fx mufflers. imo I think it sounds pretty decent, much deeper and louder than stock without being obnoxious. I think it’s a perfect middle of the ground sound. I’m happy with it for now although I am considering getting test pipes or hfcs and/or an upgraded y pipe. Who knows, maybe I should’ve gone full cat back from the get go but I’m having fun playing with a custom set up so who cares lol

@@vciq you'd most definitely have a low and deeper growl with an X pipe. Magnaflow has a Universal Tru-X pipe.. Keep in mind of you do that your exhaust system will become a True Dual. Also to lessen the ricey rasp, get two Vibrant Resonators to replace you factory set. Keep the muffler delete and add some 4 inch tips.. That thing will sound like a beast. Trust me

Can someone explain the difference between the early q60 models and the later g37 models please because they have the same chassis and engine.
G37 came before the Q60. Infiniti renamed it the Q60(coupe) in 2014. They technically renamed the G37(sedan) the Q50 in 2015 but 2014 had the G37 sedan named the Q40 lol. Very confusing
No difference besides the name until they introduced the vr 30 twin turbo engine in the 2017 q60
Unlike the newer models the g37 and Q40 only comes in a 3.7L vq37vhr while in the rebranded Q50 and Q60 include a 3.0 twin turbo vq37vhr (comparison to the bmw n55 or b58 engine) along with the same 3.7L

I have a motordyne cat-back exhaust system on my 2014 q60x. If your looking for an amazing sound quality exhaust set up with good horsepower and torque gains. Get cat-back. Muffler and rezonator delete just make exhaust sound like shit for the vq.
The white g37 owner was 🧢. He didn’t even know those tips were aftermarket. Lol.

Any form of deletes sound bad. Loud but bad. A bullet muffler setup is the way to go. The last two by a landslide.

I prefer Magnaflow products on these VQ engines. They seem to provide the growl that everybody wants without it being rasp city.
I’m new to the infinity scene and I have a 09G 37 all-wheel-drive don’t know if it’s an S all the emblems are off but I want to do something with my exhaust but first I have to get my Cadillac converters replaced because they’re rusted and then after that do the straight pipe and stuff but I don’t like the rats be found how can I make that more deeper
Replace your cats, then delete your resonator and muffler.. Get 2.5 piping from the cat back and throw on some vibrant resonators

It should. It's the same drive train. Same engine, transmission, even most of the suspension is interchangeable. It's just a 370z with a back seat.
