My issue with FSR2 is how blurry it looks compared to native. I am glad Native runs well though. A weird thing that I didn't see was the stutter after skipping scenes. I skipped them due to it being a demo and they are also only in 16:9. ( I will watch them when the game is out )
Did u also found the initial forest scene very heavy performance? For me, is always below 60 there. And it is strange compared to village, which have similar reccomendet hardware
I'm looking forward to the video of the final version of the game, take all the time you need. I humbly hope that you can address all existing settings so we can see what the relationship is between performance cost and graphic quality. We are eager.
I play at 4K and my GPU is the 3060 Ti. I tried optimizing the RE4 demo and what I found strange is that bloom has a performance impact. Also screen space reflections really has a big impact to FPS even on scenes where there are no reflections.
Super small thing, but why do hair settings look better off in your vid hah? med/hi look static, while off you can see more strands? Also no wonder it crashes with rtx on,Its 3gb over ur GPU. Cool vid though, cant wait to play the full game later this month on my 4080
Hello, I had some fps drops with the Terrain tesselation, did you notice something on that setting? When I entered the village portion of the demo I had my frames dropping to 37fps on a RX 5600 XT. Thanks in advance.
No I saw no big difference with The Terrain setting ,keep in mind that the village portion is the most intense area in the demo because it's an open place with a lot of volumetric effects everywhere and large amount of enemies.
@@benchmarking4386 Thank you for the answer! It was the only setting that I changed that made some difference. I had stable 60fps (vsync on) on a Ryzen 5 3600, RX 5600XT and 16gb ram. Everything on high (except the hair), but as soon I got to the part after the house sequence my frames went down to 35~fps. I guess my PC didn't like it all the zombies stomping? I really don't know what happened to be frankly. But thank you again for taking your time to respond! I got into your channel with the awesome Hogwarts optimized settings video! Keep up the awesome work.
@@VS_Gamer84 So I have no clue what happen then, because It was the only thing that dropped my fps other than the hair. I will try again on the release.
So the release has the same optimization and same RT problems, and also same graphics settings so the best optimization thing is to apply all medium/high but not Extra/Max
Your game crashes with RT on because you exceed the VRAM limit. Make sure when u turn on RT your VRAM is not in the red like you had in your video, so you gonna have to lower your textures from High (8gb) to something like High (2gb) with RT on and it won't crash anymore
Yeah you're right , I retested Ray Tracing at 1080p and the game didn't crash , what strange is that my Vram was at 7GB and the moment I opened that door it went up to 7.7GB so it's 100% a Vram problem
I think what's causing your crash is running out of VRAM. I had it crash on me twice with my RTX 3080ti. Everything on max with 4K. So I brought the resolution down to 1440p and played through the demo 3 times without any issues. Keep in mind, in both instances I have exceeded the VRAM chart in the settings menu. But 4K kept crashing while 1440p pulled it off just fine.

Thank you Honestly I try to avoid online/competitive games since one update can change the performance and visuals but if I have some free time I'll make a video.
This is just a demo , and it's highly probable that the performance will differ in the full game , the full game may offer additional settings that are not present in the demo and some settings cannot be tested in the demo like Rain Quality because there is no rain.
Just wanted to mention that I thought a lot of games had stuttering until I upgraded to a 13700K from a 10700K and a lot stuttering completely disappeared. Having a capable CPU matters A LOT. (not talking about dx12 shader compilation).
That's anecdotal, unless you have concrete comparisons that the stutters went away after changing cpu's then really shouldn't make a baseless statement like this.
Didn't expect you to cover this one but glad you did! Thanks for all you do and have a great weekend!
Thanks for all you do. Your videos have definitely helped me. Hope your channel blows up soon.
Great video. Looking forward to an optimization video soon too
Man this channel about to blow up

Really hoping the full release plus full Denuvo doesn't kill performance! Really happy with the demo performance!
The demo is misleading if the full game has a performance impact caused by denovu! Hoping the same :)
Excellent analyis and thx for displaying all the comparisons in split screen. Is the information still up2date with 1.09?
thanks for the effort💯
We need more good info video like this
thanks for your work.

Yes same here , the initial area is demanding.

Great video !!!
Hair strands Off looks better than High to me.
Which card would you recommend for a Full HD -ultra/high 21:9 experience? 3060 enough
?

How big of an impact does RT make in terms of performance?
Before the area where the game crash not much really but we'll see once the full game is out.
it runs so good on 6800xt max settings 1440p even with max raytracing far above 60fps without upscaling.

Only fps drop in this game is when Hair Strand setting is ON

Do anyone knows how to fix the stuttering issue in which the game makes a weird stutter noise and the frames dips when I reach the village area?
Was it with Ashley? cos I might have the same problem.
will you be doing one for the full release?
Yes , The video has been completed and will be uploaded to the channel within a few hours.
nice video
FSR2 is super impressive, I played with high preset on a 1070 Mobile and it was awesome in terms of performance and stuttering
Yeah but it's too blurry compared to another games. An sharpness slider would be great.
let's goooooooooooooooooooooooo king!!!

It appears red for me even though I do not exceed my vram, just getting closer to my gb makes it turn red

Great video like always. Can you make one for fortnite since they introduced lumen.
Thank you

The demo runs like a dream on my rig. If it releases verbatim like this at launch I'd still be happy
My demo runs great until I’m in the heat of the village fight, where I drop to as low as 41fps on a rtx 2070. Anyone else?
can u still do a complete graphics comparison benchmark so that i know what my best settings should be and play instantly on release

@@benchmarking4386 ok then, it was just an idea from me.
strange how there isnt dlss
I hope you get the last of us remake also

Don't know how you're having problems with 10700K when these games don't even lean on CPUs in the first place.
That's anecdotal, unless you have concrete comparisons that the stutters went away after changing cpu's then really shouldn't make a baseless statement like this.
@@Hyde1415 well of course it depends on the game. Some are stuttery messes that no amount of CPU power can fix it.
