Thank you. I've kind of undergone a whole mindset shift this last week. I broke a lot of barriers that were holding me back, including thinking like that. It's amazing how much my mindset changed with just one week. I had to just trust myself to do things and be confident that I'd find a way to get there and do what I want to do. Thanks so much for your tutorials and advice.

Think DIVE ROLL take off, where you reach and jump UP & OVER the ledge... that momentum will carry you to the other side, and once you see the other side or as you're passing over the ledge you tuck and thanks to the momentum from the dive takeoff, you won't hit the wall because by the time you fully tuck, you'll be well away from the wall.

Im so glad im a martial artist because it makes things so much easier to learn tricking...if you got your kicking down and the chambers ,foot/knee placement and technique ETC. its so much easier .... thanks man

Close, but the jackknife is more advanced. Jackknife is basically a 540 into a hook before or as you land. So the finish is kinda the same as in this video, but the jackknife has a jump and a full 360 spin beforehand. =P

Honestly, how you defend yourself, I feel, depends on the individual's ability to use their reactions in their favor... and there are many different styles, but I think kicks can help when the fight is in your favor, many do not expect kicks but there are some who know how to counter a kick if your kick is too slow or not powerful enough.

Yeah I plan on doing more tricking tutorials. I am still learning TKT but i'm beginning to get the hang of it and then I can better do tutorials without calling things the wrong name. But also tricking is so defined by big tricks, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to do a tutorial on big tricks like a full snapu because i may not be able to do it clean enough to demonstrate it. =( But for now, Just a buncha fun combos. =)))

THANK YOU . I'm 28, and fat now. I used to look like you. I started my own company, and the years took their toll. Successful, now, I can return to core principle of what matters; my body. I went out in the yard today, and staying ON AXIS was what I missed as a youth. I'm so happy to have officially made a return to tricking. Imagine a 236 pound guy: round house -> hook -> tornado kick -> AERIAL -> switch direction and come back.
Fucking. Glorious. Thanks for the tips, kid.

I personally feel that you should only kick as high as the limits of your flexibility, a decent kick height is hip height, a good kick height is head height, and a CLEAN kick height is where you kick straight up in the splits like TIM MAN!!!!

Form does take more effort, however when you can trick and have razor sharp kicks, people acknowledge your efforts in going the extra miles to control your body just that much more. =)

That's what i like to hear! Keep it simple and fun. No need for huge tricks, because people usually progress to that on their own eventually. Basic kicks, flips, and possibly twists? I can dig it! Keep it up bro ^_^

    More tricking tutorials!! :D
    Some good starter combos include:
    Tornado > Hook > Cartwheel/Aerial
    Backside 900 > Hook > Cartwheel/Aerial
Pop 360 Crescent > Back Sweep > anything
More advanced combos/transitions would include swing-throughs (s/t for short).
    ex. B-Twist s/t gainer
    ex. TD Raiz s/t corkscrew

The hook kick you point your foot when you hook, its only flexed when u push it out, the best way I can explain it (as a red belt in taekwondo) is you do a side kick beside where you wanna kick and hook it back to hit your target, foot flexed while side kick, pointed while hooking

in sport sparring, you never want to make your back face your opponent. you either hit them, which makes it easy to pull your foot back and rechamber, or you miss and try to over come your momentum and get back into sparring stance
