i love this! i've come to a place where i never assume someone's sexuality or identity. i've been called progressive for this outlook but really i think it should be the norm. yes please, a femme series would be awesome! i'm a straight woman married to a man but i love following both you and sarah and learning more about a beautiful community.
I appreciate how this goes into detail on how to handle judgement, from those out of, and within the community. Using the judgement I’m faced with as an opportunity to educate is something I am going to challenge myself to do. I am hoping that will encourage me to live more openly.
It's basically all about educating people not to make assumptions. I always say that if a human finds another human that makes it happy, the genders and lables aren't an issue.
Watching it as a femme lesbian was so relatable. However, I was surprised that people made fun of you, when you came out, and didn't believe you were gay. I mean...I live in a conservative country but when I come out to people they just say, it's surprising but ok. They never doubted my gayness for some reason. Maybe I'm just lucky.

I felt like a lot of the people I knew expected me to dress differently now that they knew I was gay, so I made sure to dress even more femininely around them. I felt like I had to prove that I was the same person I'd always been. I guess in both your situation and mine we felt like we had to prove something, even if our responses were really different.
