I was in Slovenia, Italy and France for a total of 12 days and I had the opportunity to film some stuff.
This is one of a few RAWs you'll see from that time.
Italy and France during September were extremely cold in some places already....we had down to ~4°C sometimes and once even ice on the road in italy.
Here I rode up the Col de La Madeleine from south to north. 28km pure joy...one corner after the other and basically no traffic at all.
Anyway, enjoy the lovley flat sound of the boxer!

I own it.. i sold my Gs 1200 rallye 2017 for this 1150. This engine is amazing.. has such a beautiful low torque. Best bike in the world to me.

Sehr schön gefahren 👍🏻 Ich bin die letzten paar Jahre ne K1200S gefahren. Nach nem schweren Unfall nun leider kernschrott. Wollte immer schon mal ne GS haben. Die 1150 soll es werden. Hoffe mal ich kann mich an die ,,Minderleistung“ schnell gewöhnen & bald meiner alten K nicht mehr nachtrauern werde 🥲 Was hast du für n Auspuff verbaut?

Hi! nice video!! can i ask you about the down shifting...i see you throttle a little when down shifting... why is that? I am new owner of a 1150 gs . Does it make smoother the gear shift?
It's a method to release pressure on the gearbox to shift with less resistance. If you time it right you don't need the clutch at all. But I usually just tap it a bit to be safe.
For upshifting it's the opposite. You let go of the throttle a bit. But preload the shift lever a tiny bit before you try to shift

Standard exhaust?
Do you know anything about "Metzeler Karoo street"?
i wanna put these on my R1100RS boxer with R1150 wheels.
No, the exhaust is a slip on from "Storm" (a cheaper Mivv). I had the Karoo Street on my 1190 and also ridden a K25 with these tires. Grip is good (could scrape pegs on the 1190), handling even better, but the rear tire is noisy as hell. Doesn't matter if it was the 170, or the 150 rear. Don't exepect more than 6-7000km out of those tires if you ride semi fast.
@@StromerUA-cam Well many tires look like semi slicks, smooth slippery surface, like you could slip or loose traction with the front wheel during (heavy) rain in a corner, the Karoo street looks like it could handle rain very well and a bit "offroad" or non tarmac surfaces.
Like the exhaust note.
Rain is no problem for these tires. Some light gravel roads are ok, but don't expect that much.

Schritt 1: Stromer taucht mit einem neuen Onboard Video mitder GS in den Vorschlägen auf.
Schritt 2: Realisieren, dass er eine gelungene Mischung aus entspannter Geschwindikeit und gelungener Dynamik findet, welche die Szenerie der Umgebung toll einfängt. (Leider neigen Videos auf der 1150GS von anderen Uploadern dazu, extrem langweilig zu sein)
Schritt 3: Sprachlos feststellen, dass er 45 Minuten liefert!
Schritt 4: Heftiges Überlegen, ob man sich noch eine R 1150 Gs zulegen soll.
Schritt 5: Chaos an Argumenten eine zu kaufen oder eben nicht zu kaufen.... :)

Zur 1150er. Gängige Schwachstellen sind:
- Drosselklappen oft ausgeschlagen
- Steuerkettenspanner links
- Getriebe Aus/Eingangswelle
- BKV ab 2002/2003
Summa summarum, du solltest halbwegs selbst schrauben können, sonst wirds richtig schnell, richtig teuer.
@@StromerUA-cam Danke für die Info! Was das Schrauben betrifft habe ich Erfahrung und einen begnadeten 2-Rad Mechaniker zur Hand, allerdings bleibt dennoch bestehen, dass die Bikes jetzt schon 20 Jahre alt sind. Kann viel kommen, muss aber nicht :)
Verfluchter Verstand, macht nie, was das Herz sagt und man bleibt doch beim aktuellen Bike :)
@twom6431 Das stimmt...die Kisten werden nicht jünger. Ich hab mir im Herbst noch eine 990 Adventure geangelt. Ging halbwegs günstig her und stand nur 10km weit weg. Einsetzen werde ich die dieses Jahr auf meiner Balkan Tour. Da kommen dann vielleicht auch mal ein paar Schotter RAWs😎. Die 1190 ADV kommt weg und die 1150er wird gegen eine 1200er DOHC getauscht.
I'd love to know, what exhaust system do you have on your bike? Im looking to upgrade my stock system.
I had a Storm Slip-on on the bike. It's a cheaper sub brand from Mivv. No De-CAT tough.
