Amazing one, by its creativity and its precision ! And they were so funny :D
And now they've finally covered Believe by Cher in their 90's dance medley and it was FANTASTIC!
Been over a decade and I STILLL get chills!!! I remember watching this live and losing my shit!!! They still are killing it to this day!!
yeah they saved acapella for sure - they brought it to a whole new level!
Those who did not see the sing off my condolences. This was to me better than American Idol. When the winner actually Won!

Things evolve. They write their own songs now as well! Sold out arenas. Next is their European Tour in 2023.

It's the song that won them the competition. After this, the only other result would have been to lose.
And it was all because of their fellow competitor Sonos which left the competition that inspired them to do it
They killed it with an A-cappella version of "Video killed the Radio Star."

Fast forward twelve years later and this is the first time I've seen them on this show. Sorry I missed it. Shawn sure hit it on the nose with his prediction... they have saved a capella! Would love to go to a show 🤗💚

love the arrangement and energy, and i'm impressed that they pulled off that last minute switch. also, side note: hearing kevin using a different snare is a nice touch because he mainly focuses on his inward k snare (it's in almost if not every song released since the sing off) and not so much the outward pf snare. not their best performance because they still have room to grow and figure out who they are, but not bad

They did back then, but where is a cappella in their latest Christmas album...? Where are THEY?
They introduced Accapella to millions of people, who had never heard of it before.

@@SolennBreizh I agree with you that they are making new musical choices. And I don't always like when they stray from their core formula, but they've been doing this for ELEVEN YEARS!! They need to Branch out, as artists, for their own sake and to stay commercially and creatively viable. But I go see them every time they are nearby, and their shoes are still AMAZING. As for the Christmas album, they have done it like three times over. They don't want to be a group that just puts out the same Christmas album year after year. (And while Josh is great, I miss Avi)

I’ve seen some great Pentatonix performances. This is not one of them. Maybe I’m just too much in love with the original, but this strips it away if its charm.
I don't know what you watched, because this was when they really started to cement themselves as the Acapella group that GOES there. It's not SUPPOSED to sound like the original - that was PTX's thing - to make songs THIER OWN. Which was the point of the competition. This is also widely a fan favorite - and this is honestly the first time I have ever seen anyone say they didn't like it. (though I see a comment below yours also saying they didn't like it, but you are the first two I have ever seen).
