I just found you guys in UA-cam. You rock. I am 50 years and going to start skating again after 20 years. Thanks for all these awesome videos. My goal is to be the old ass lady shredding at the skate park.
An idea for a video: Rollerskate maintenance (I know you guys have went over that a bit) and common problems you run into and what to do vs. What not to do. It would also be good to hear rollerskating stories from you guys!
Oh my gosh that fall at 6:30 XD I love seeing Estro Jen in these videos she's such a fantastic skater! Also the helmet looks super cute, Indy! I love the designs :D
Another way to think about the open-the-door close-the-door method is thinking about skating forward, and then someone taps you on your shoulder so you step to turn around and see them, this way you are thinking about moving your head first and letting your feet follow. You're still opening and closing the door, but it helped me when I first was trying it out to think of turning towards someone. Also ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TOESTOPS ARE STRONG AND TIGHT!
I Know your comment is 5 years old 😂 but you really have a point. I'm an absolute beginner and my eyes and head is glued to the front, and a lot of times floor (outdoor skating, gotta pay attention for cracks/stones). Once I try to look back, I loose balance. I'll try your idea. Sounds like it could work for me.
Indy! You guys should do a skate park series (how to build up speed, going up and down ramps, tricks, dropping in, etc.). I'm a derby girl who wants to branch out. Help a girl out!
Episode 5 deals with pumping on a ramp. Chicks in bowls with lady trample (infamous member of VRDL) has some great tutorials on youtube on skate park skating.
Indie! You, Pigeon, and Estro Jen seem like the most fun loving people. I’ve just been binge watching your videos and they’re inspiring me to actually try skating! At first it seemed daunting but your personality makes me feel like messing up and learning is part of the fun. Much love to you ladies!
I'm a Swedish Roller Skater and I LOVE roller skating so these videos are really helpful for me because I just started roller skating in August this year! Thank you, keep up the good work! ILYSM 🇸🇪✨❤️
@Riki Rikin kanayin they have a video about skating downhill. also, you dont have to practice at a busy intersection? basketball courts are great places to practice, parks in general are great places to practice. who in their right mind would go out specifically to a busy intersection to *practice?*
I got my moxie skates and I am so scared lol. Thank you so much for your easy tutorials, they encourage me to bust em out and get out there... even if it means eating sh*t lol
This video came out at JUST the right time for me, as I'm currently learning to use my toe stops. (BTW... I just tried my new Moxi Lollys in a skatepark for the first time, and O! M! G! I LOVE them.)
Indy, your explanations are always so clear to me! It always "clicks" with me, more than any other skate tutorials I've watched. Super pumped to try this out. :D
This video series is so good, I have to watch each one a couple times to catch up with all the hot tips flying fast at me. You are all super cute and talented. Great job and I love the happy energy!
Hi Indy! I'm an ex-ice skater struggling with transitions on wheels! Do you have any tips or could you possibly make a video all about transitioning flawlessly from forwards to backwards skating? Thanks!
i just got my pair of roller skates 2 days ago and i am so in love with all the moxi girls 💙 michelle, indy and pigeon have a special place in my heart already LOL
I love you ladies! Thanks so much for the tutorials. I purchased roller skates instead of a Ferrari for my midlife rerun and with the help of you chica's I'll be back flipping in the bowl by the time im 50 🤣 seriously 😁 so inspired 💃👌👏
Estro!! 😍 First video I've seen her in and my word. What an inspiration! This video was so fun, can't wait to get out this weekend and fall over lots!!
Hey thanks so much all 3 of you! I really enjoyed you guys making a video about it, it helped me so much to stop fast when I am roller skating. This video taught me so much about it! I really loved how you show different ways to turn around, and I like how pigeon modeled it by standing in the background as a different perspective it helped. I get it now. Thanks so much! :) Everyone was amazing
Hello👋☺️ I am so inspired by your tutorial. I can't wait to try this on my own. I am a 36 year old mother of three and I just bought my first pair of Riedells. My cousin and I used to go to the rink every Friday growing up and I always loved roller skating. Can't wait to get back into it like never before! Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial and channel! ❤️
I love you gals, but this is very difficult to execute without tipping over or spinning 360 lol. Any more tips on how stop on a dime for a super newbie who's an instable skater? With Love!
Maybe try a bubble to slow down I think they show that in a vid called how to stop ;-; idk lol but same here I use bubbles to slow down and then I stop
This comment is 3 years old...have you been practicing? Would love to hear about your progress! I'm just starting, I'm just going a tiny bit faster every time I try this, like every other day.
My partner is a Cherry Bomb with TXRD and I just got my first pair of skates. She was super impressed that I got the turn around toe stop on day 2 of skating. That was totally because of this video. Thanks so much!
Your videos are so helpful! I bought some crappy starter skates because of your channel but i'm saving up for better wheels and bearings. Thanks for being an inspiration ❤️❤️❤️
Better wheels and bearings definitely help even if the boot isn't the highest quality. I learned to skate on crap too! lol as long as it rolls, if the wheels don't roll you're def going to have a difficult time.
I've been waiting for this video for so long !thank you ! thank you a lot ! I'll be finally able to learn the turn around toe stop ! ** It's my number 1 goal for now. I guess I'll keep rolling! keep on with these videos there are really helpful ! even for a french girl like me !
So, my bday is on January 14th and I’m having a roller skate party for my 11th bday, and I’m having a planet roller skate marathon!!!! This is super helpful😃😃
As a team year old, I really wanted to get outside so I don’t rot while on the internet. My dad brought me roller skates because my older sisters got them, so I learnt how to do the basics but I still had some trouble with worrying that I would fall and I wanted to know how to do some other things that help me out and is fun for me. So I searched up some tips and found you guys!! I’m going to roller skate later on today, so I really hope that I will learn these and hopefully stop worrying that I’ll fall, since that’s how you learn what not to do and what to do. You guys are truely inspiring and motivational for me to get off my device, thanks for your time to teach us tricks and tips on our ride with roller skates. :)
thank you for the video! i've been waiting for this because it's the one thing that i struggle most with right now but that i definitely want to learn before skating on the streets, too. so, thank you so much ♥ you girls are awesome ♥
You girls are awesome! I just got a pair of roller skates for my 54th birthday. I haven’t skated since I about 14/15 soooo ya I need lots of practice and helpful tips
I absolutely love you gals. I’ve been learning to roller skate past four months now with a instructor and your videos in past month has improved soooo much🤗thank you. Look forward to more videos; my favs are when you collaborate from a variety of roller skaters. 🥰I would love to see more variety of gals that are a little rounder like myself skate. I did watch the video on “ your not to big to skate” with pigeon and I liked it, but I would of like to actually see the girls to skate😏
Nice video.. this will help my little cousin alot. I just got her a pair of roller skates for xmas and she can't wait to learn everything there is about roller skates.. this channel will deff help her. Thanks girls.
I recently went skating the other day after years of not skating and have been obsessed with it. Thanks ladies for making these videos! Also, that view is making me miss California. Lol.
Awesome! Just switched back to side by side after 20 years on inliners, and nearly used my butt for stopping, as I almost forgot about no heel breaks. Had to refreshen how to stop on side by sides 🤣
Thanks for another great tutorial! Quick question about toe stops: I have "Rookie" skates and the toe stops keep falling off of them if I use them for a while without tightening in between going downhill for example. i tighten them every time I go skating (even with a proper tool), but it happends often that they fall out, is this normal or are the skates just bad quality?? I'm coming back to skating after many decades, and have never skated outdoors and my first try downhill was mucho scary cause I had no idea how to stop. I figured out the snowplow bit but my legs were wasted afterwards cause the downhill was pretty long. I'm 54 and still love skating, but dang I gotta figure out how to not kill myself going downhill and surviving those yellow hazard strips with the raised round bumps in them. They're like roller skating tank traps lol. Thanks for the videos you guys, I'm going to keep watching more of them.
ok good i have been waiting on this since your first video not this but i need to learn a more advance stop learned more skate moves but not how to do a advance stop (this video easy stop good for beginners) will continue to wait :)
Oh my gosh I loved the part where you went rolling down the hill backwards- I wasn’t expecting that and could not stop laughing!!! (Not in a mean way though!! ❤️) I also LOVED this video!! I struuuuggle with stopping and this kind is my #1 goal so it’s been a VERY helpful video!! Thanks so much for demonstrating!! 🙌🏽 love this channel!!!

I love your channel so much! I’ve watched so many of your videos and am gonna try and start skating! I already roller blade but now am gonna start roller skating! Of course getting all my stuff off planet roller skate! Love you guys!❤️

Hi Indy!
I'm an ex-ice skater struggling with transitions on wheels! Do you have any tips or could you possibly make a video all about transitioning flawlessly from forwards to backwards skating? Thanks!
Sarah Cozzens it took me a while to, but start slowly and practice it a lot and soon you’ll be able to do it without even thinking about it
I started off with roller blades cause i find them easier to use try to figure out which is better and try is on a tennis court kr skating rink
i learned how to do transitions by emulating mohawks like on ice skates
Amelia Graul it’s funny what 2 years of skating will do. I feel like my transitions are better on wheels instead of ice now haha!
