Lol I taught myself how to skate 2 months ago and I’m just now looking up how to stop 😂 I’ve literally just been squatting and falling forward on my knee pads to stop 😅
For those of you who will be skating in the street: 1) Indy mentioned that the toe stop drag is not for hills. She is absolutely right. It is pretty much for low speed only, and I think it works better indoors. If you are new to roller skating and want to skate outdoors on your neighborhood street, know that many streets have a slight incline that can get you rolling faster than you want. But, if you have a little bit of space, you can use the plow stop. Dirty Deborah Harry of the Dirty School of Skate has a good tutorial on this. For my use - moderate to higher speed / trails and hills - I found the toe stop drag to work much better and be much safer when SKATING BACKWARD. This is not for beginners exactly, because you have to learn a safe, preferably moderate-to-high-speed, front-back transition (i.e., turn) first. Once you can do that, you practice toe stopping backward. I found that to be MUCH safer on my neighborhood's asphalt roads than toe stopping forward. I found that it did not to eat my toe stops as much, and it seems to have eliminated the problem I had of my TOE STOPS FALLING OUT WHEN BRAKING FORWARD - obviously, a major safety issue. YES, I DID TIGHTEN THEM FIRST. It's a forward braking safety issue on roller skates at moderate speed on asphalt. You need to learn to turn around safely and brake backward. FOR THE RECORD, INLINE SKATES WITH A STANDARD HEEL BRAKE DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE OF HOW THE HEEL BRAKE IS DESIGNED AND USED. Most inline skates use a standard heel brake design that is very sturdy but does not adjust. It may come in more than one size or style - for standard urban / fitness skates vs. triskates. Rollerblade's beginner skater's ABT brake is different. It really is for beginners. I've never used the ABT brake. I learned on a standard inline heel brake from day one. I'm glad about it, because I think it would be an annoyance, now that I can drag stop (t-stop), plow stop, lunge stop and sometimes hockey stop on inlines - and do crossovers and the duckwalk manual. On inline skates, you can brake at moderate to higher speeds going forward on a heel brake, no problem. You just gotta push down / use enough force and have enough of the brake left to do it. And by braking, I mean that I brake on asphalt all the time. Inline skate heel braking is also a fairly stable position - so, I would argue that inline skates may in a way be safer for beginners to start on, if you want to skate outdoors. But you can learn to be safe on roller skates, too. The trick is to practice what you need to stay safe. Please note: MANY INLINE SKATES HAVE BRAKES, BUT SOME DO NOT. Obviously, look at the skate or ask before you buy one, if that is an issue for you. It does take a little practice to learn to t-stop even on inlines, although I think it's easier to t-stop on inlines because of the narrower width, roundness and alignment of the wheels. The in-line alignment means all four wheels can help with braking, provided that they are in a flat setup. This is good, because the greater traction means you should be able to slow down quicker and in a more stable manner. Most inline skates have a flat setup. Ones that might - some slalom and possibly hockey or artistic inlines - are not all that common and can at least sometimes be rearranged into a flat wheel setup. A flat setup means that all wheels touch the ground. A rockered setup means the toe and heel wheels don't touch the ground while the middle ones will. A rockered setup is good for tricks, slalom and turning but is less stable at higher speeds. An anti-rockered setup is often used with aggressive / skate park inlines. We use smaller wheels in the middle than the heel and toe wheels because of the grind block in the middle. So remember: inline skates often have a heel brake, but not always. If not, look for a flat frame / flat wheel configuration setup inline skate if you're new and want to skate inlines. Most inline skates will probably be like this. Now, I will say: I think it may be easier to learn some tricks and artistic / jam skating on roller skates rather than inlines - certainly to land jumps - although my roller skates seem to be a lot heavier than my inline skates, because of the plates, trucks, wider wheels, etc. vs. narrower inline skate plastic or aluminum frames (and no truck / bushing assemblies). Anyway, back to the topic of braking: 2) The t-stop seems to me to be harder to do on asphalt roads on roller skates than on inline skates. This is because of the thickness of the wheels and the fact that you would use 2-4 of them together to do so. On relatively smooth surfaces like hardwood flooring, a gym floor, concrete like in a warehouse or at a well-maintained skate park, for the most part, you should be fine. The problem surface is mostly asphalt, because it can end up rougher and excessively grippy. That makes it a lot harder to stop and can result in injury - whether due to not being able to stop in time, or a pulled muscle from trying to make it work. Believe it or not, it may be easier to t-stop on harder indoor wheels when outside, or to t-stop indoors on any wheel type. The reason why is because hard wheels usually let you slide a little more. Sliding isn't a bad thing as long as you allow enough stopping distance for your speed. Start slow and get used to it. Braking that way can help you build up the muscles you'd need later to brake well on outdoor gummy wheels. We use hard wheels on aggressive (i.e., skate park) inline skates, I think because they are more durable; but they are also good for learning t-stopping and probably powerslides (a more advanced inline braking method that may be doable on roller skates - not sure). Why use outdoor gummy wheels outside? Better grip on the pavement and smoother ride. It can make a pretty sizable difference. Just bear in mind that if you opt for outdoor gummy wheels - I do recommend them over harder indoor wheels if you want to skate outdoors - it might be easier to practice t-stopping indoors on gummy wheels, especially if you're brand-new to skating. Other than concerns over tracking dirt and debris from the gummy wheels indoors, using gummy wheels indoors shouldn't be a big deal. They are fairly soft and have not really damaged my hardwood floors. Side note: fwiw, we inline-dominant hybrid skaters sometimes refer to the t-stop as a drag stop, because we're dragging a skate for braking, but not really making a T. ; ) 3) Yes, wheels are more expensive to replace than toe stops. The reason why is because they sell the wheels in packs of 8, so that you replace all of your wheels at once (at least, that's what inline skate manufacturers tend to do). Compare that to 2 toe stops. ; ) 4) Plow stops are fantastic if you have the space for 'em. In my opinion, the it's the safest stop for new roller skaters who have the space, such as in a neighborhood street. Some trails or sidewalks are too narrow to use the plow stop. That's why I recommend quick feet and learning to transition safely at higher speed, and then braking on the toe stop backward. 5) We inline skaters also call what Pigeon demonstrates a "lemon drop" or "[American] football". (She shows the plow stop toward the end, I think.) To do the plow stop, point your toes in a bit but push out with your feet. Bend your knees like you're squatting down - kinda sitting in your skates - and bring your knees toward each other. That should stop you if you're skating forward. It's hard for most folks to explain well. I mentioned Dirty Deborah Harry's tutorial on that. I've found hers to be one of the best explanations. Sorry for the length. I just know that a lot of you have been curious and / or have been ordering skates - that a lot of you are new to any type of skating. I haven't been skating that long myself - just about a year and a half - but I've also been going out every day and can do stuff like crossovers, skating over manhole covers, getting up and down curbs, trying out different braking techniques, skating on trails, even a little hill bombing. I may be fairly new to roller skates (aka quads), but a lot transfers from inline skating, too. Both types of skates are fun. How useful each type of skate is will depend in part on what you want to do. Roller skates are great for learning jam skating and artistic-type tricks, but they probably aren't the best choice for slalom, roller hockey, trails, or braking outdoors. In some areas like Phoenix metro, inlines are generally permitted at the skate park, whereas roller skates aren't as widely-accepted (in terms of skate park rules). There are probably a couple reasons for this. For one, roller skate plates can have trucks that can interfere with coping. The wheels can also be problematic if they are the wrong style. Inline skates can be a bit more forgiving, although it depends on your inline skate setup and on what you are doing at the skate park. Inline skates are often more consistent in terms of providing adequate ankle support. That said, aggressive skating in inlines or quads (i.e., roller skates) carries inherent risks, as I think Indy can attest. Anyway, I hope that helps. Have fun, new skaters! I hope you stay healthy and can get out and have fun where you are! = D
I got my first pair of skates and I’m just skating in my room cuz I’m scared to skate outside on the hilly streets EDIT: For the people wondering my room is tiny 😂😂😂
s p i n t just got my skates, doing it in my room, moved down to the hallway (it’s very long) i’m so excited to go in the neighborhood when i can skate fast enough lol
Can you guys please do a video on transitions?? Like going from forward skating to backward skating etc. I love the skating tips videos they’re super helpful for beginner skaters like me 💖 thank you!!
OH MY GOD this helped me so much! Thank you! I just turned 11 years old and I got roller skates for my Birthday, and I was so happy. I have been skating for about a week now, but I am stuck on turning and stopping. This helped me so much!
@@MystiqueRisingSun wow thats impressive. Ive been on and off roller skating since i was 7 (im now 14) and about a year ago i really got into it again! Thats so cool that you've been doing it for that long and still enjoy it. And yes. We love Indy 😂❤
@@livccosplay My youngest is your age! I first got her on skates when she was 17 months old. She's a little speed demon now, and loves indoor and outdoor skating. We're hoping to head to Venice Beach or Long Beach for my 50th birthday/her 18th to get to one of the Moxi shops in person, as well as skate at Fountain Valley Skating Center with Dirty Deb.
@@MystiqueRisingSun ahh that sounds so cool! Im from England so its a lot harder to find good places to skate. All of the roads are bumpy and there isnt many indoor rinks. But luckily i found one an hour away from me and i go like every week😂
I JUST ordered a pair of skates from you guys and I can't wait to get them. Awesome to see your new warehouse, congratz! ~ Thank you again Atomic for all your help via email upon purchasing skates from you, and thank you Indy and Pigeon for the videos.
I have been rollerskating since I forced myself to learn in 1992 when I bought some roller skates from the Salvation Army. Never learned to stop outside of running up onto grass or holding onto a light post. Or falling. Thank you for finally getting me learn the proper way to slow down. I love your channel!
i just found your channel after order my first pair of skates in my 22 years of life and i just wanna say thank you!! thank you for your simple but really useful guides to skating and encouragement. as a plus size woman i was really nervous to start skate but Pigeon is a woman of such strength!! its really inspiring to see that skating is for ever BODY
Thanks for this video! I am a 47 yr old small business owner and just got on skates for the first time since 3rd grade. Having lots of fun, but literally searched hot to stop on roller skates and found this super helpful vid. Much success in your biz!
Somehow stopping was my biggest issue when learning how to skate (i kind of managed to do it, but i am still a beginner > . < ) Anyways, thank you so much for your awesome videos, they are super helpful & inspire me to get better at skating 😍🌞
I started roller skating the day before yesterday! I fell a few times tho...but I’m getting better at it!! Now that I’ve watched this I’m getting better at roller skating!
Oh this warms my heart to see PRS building such a wonderful empire of rollerskating. I just placed an order last night and I can just imagine my goodies being packed up with love!
As a beginner (literally only been skating g for 3 days) it amazes me how steady you are just standing on the wheels and not wobbling about like I do 😭😂
Thank you so much! Before I saw your videos on reccemoned I didn't know what to do with my life. Rollerskating has shown a new perspective to see things thank you. Do not stop what you are doing you are amazing
That’s so funny, I just tried roller skating yesterday for the first time and I only assumed I would use the brake but by the end I was only using the plow to stop 😂, that’s what felt natural, I’m a keen skier and I didn’t know it was a thing in roller skating as well! Thank you so much for all your videos 💖
Yeah, some aspects of skiing transfer to skating! And don't feel bad about the plow stop feeling more natural. That's what I started with, too, when I tried quads (i.e., roller skates) coming from an inline background. And yes, we use the plow stop / pizza in inline skating, too - and slalom turns. ; )
sameee! ive never skiied or skated before and i just started yesterday but I've been using the plow stop (or something similar to that, not exactly a plow stop lol) as my go to so that i don't have to balance on one foot yet and the toe stop kinda scares me still hahaha
I was yelled at so much in derby for that. Unfortunately no one one stopped to say *why* (because in a derby scenario someone could easily step/trip/fall on you and break your ankle) or what to do *instead*.
Definitely much more stable backward, although I concede that I don't feel as secure as using the heel brake on my inlines (but I am a new quad / roller skater). I was a bit skeptical of forward braking on toe stops - and sure enough, I found it not all that effective for anything other than very slow speeds.
Thank you so much PlanetRollerSkate and Moxi Skates! You both helped me pick the right size skates, and I've now received my first pair of roller skates! They're absolutely great, awesome customer service from both companies, and I'm enjoying the few sunny days in Norway so much now! :D Thank you so much, and keep building the community around roller skates, it's really spreading around the globe! Trend setters!
Its so bittersweet to see skating taking off through the power of roller derby. Nothing made me feel more alive than strapping on my skates and just powering around. I miss it so much. The screech of the wheels when going fast through turns. So wonderful just to see roller derby still alive and well and such a passion towards roller skating. I have to remind myself that this just isnt a part of my life anymore or I'd order those gorgeous jack skates in a heartbeat.
Hey Indy! I have a question I've been rollerskating for 7 almost 8 years of my 15 year life, and whenever i try to do a toestop drag, my toestop bounces. I have a dense artistic toe stop, so i'm not sure thats the problem, because my old black SSuregrip Fame skates did the same. Am i doing something wrong?
I NEEDED this video. I skated as a kid, never particularly well, and just picked it back up this past winter because of school skate nights at the rink (I'm 29 with two elementary aged kids) and I've already gotten so much better than I ever was at 12 or 13, but the very bearest basics on how to stop? It was lost to me 😂. Your how to stop fast and how to go down hills videos helped a ton, but this plowing thing is totally new to me. I can't wait to get outside and practice!
I went to the rink for the first time today and your beginner tips were so helpful...now I really wanted more in-depth stopping info and this was insanely useful! Thank you so much!
Watching from the OC in CA. Just went skating this weekend. Haven't been in mybe 20 years. Looking forward to getting into it more and thank you for posting all these videos. Cheers to your business too
Every video helps me solidify my massive crush on Pigeon...oh and helps me skate better. I want to get better at snowplows but i do it naturally before i start going to derby clinics. Skating every day and watching these videos help. Thanks yall!
I love watching your videos! And im super stoked to be in so cal with hopes to run into you, pigeon and the other lovely ladies! Keep up the great work, awesome energy, and helpful videos! Theyre helping beginners like me!
How perfect the timing is! Lol like 2 days ago I was on here trying to find a "how to stop" video. So when I opened UA-cam right now I saw the video and was like "here it is, must have missed it". But turns out you literally just uploaded it! Lol thanks guys!
I found an abandoned carport that fits about 6 cars, it's tucked away in a little wooded area. ❤ Thanks for your videos! Ive been skating for about 2 months and I'm Having so much fun!!!
Congrats on the warehouse! It's so awesome to see how you're growing. You helped me get brave enough to start skating and I've joined a Derby league too! I still suck at stops though, bc I have zero muscle, but I'll get there. Thanks for the inspiration, ladies!
Been watching these videos for a while, but hadn’t continued skating after my old ones fell apart. Just got a pair of candi girls and I’m SO excited to try em out!
My moxi taffy skates which are my first skates are coming today! I was just at the rink last night tryna figure out how to learn how to stop. I love this channel you guys are amazing 💜💜💜 thank you guys
Thank you soo much Pigeon and Indy you make me very happy to teach others about roller skating it helps me a lot and makes me have enough confidence to do it.👍🏼❤
I’m about to get my first pair of skates tomorrow, they are so gorgeous and I hope they are good quality! I needed to learn this too! But if you could do a video of what a good pair of skates do and what cheap or bad pairs would show instead that would be awesome!
Seriously, thank you Indy and the whole planet roller skate moxi team for being so transparent with the business. This is why y’all are successful. A company going above and beyond with tips on their product. Truly empowering to see females run this show and inviting us into their world. We’re all in this together! Y’all have really started a revolution ✨ k, now I’m gonna go practice my stops today at the outdoor rink!!
I just got my first pair of skates. I'm really excited to get more comfortable on them. Any tips anyone might have for a newbie would be greatly appreciated!
I haven’t skated since February because I was so frustrated with not being able to stop. This makes a lot more sense, so I hope I can get back out there soon:)
Love the vids!!! I bought some beach bunny skates last month and my second time on them I broke my ankle 🤦♀️....hopefully one day I can get back on them, after I heal from surgery!
Yesss! I have been waiting for *ages for a new video. I want 1 hour video's! 😊😂 the little cutie black dog is like yeah let's skate hooman! I love the beginner tips and tricks, a lot of people here are beginners in the comment section. Sadly i can't oder on planet roller skate because it's almost 80 dollars for shipping to the Netherlands. I love you girls ♡
I just got my first pair of Riedell skates and I replaced the stock wheels with some sure grip boardwalk wheels and rollerbone bearings n idk if its the new wheel set or I just have them looser than I’d like😩 I’m trying to practice crossovers but I feel like I’m going too fast. I barely push and there I am zooming across the basketball court
I just found your channel today and im hooked on it ima beginner at roller skating but im good at it your tips and tricks really are helping me get way better at skating thx
I know bladers use the plough to slow down and stop downhill. I still can't manage to do it on roller skates, but is it the best way to slow yourself down skating downhill? Going sideways takes a lot of space, so what is the best way to do it downhill. I watched that episode, but I still have questions and it is the same for my friends. We are slow I guess :/. If you make another episode for skating downhill and more tips and tricks, including ploughing (mainly downhill or/and with higher speed), that would be amazing.
I feel like i've commented all the videos in this channel lol! but i just wanted to really say thank you for this lessons! as i commented before, I just got my skates today and I was very frustrated because I didn't remember it was that hard!!! (I used to have inline skates when I was younger and I rocked them!!) and well, I was frustrated and scared of falling, but after seeing this video about how to stop I was able to do it! So I could skate with a little more confident. I used Pigeon's stop (the bubble/diamond) because Im still scared of lifting my feet froom the floor and stoping with the toe stop or T-stop, I'll manage to do it in time! But yea, thanks a lot for your videos!!! :D
I so needed this tutorial, thank you. Now I don’t have to do the slam into the wall stop or the keep rolling til I lose momentum stop anymore. You are both ace saleswomen and skating sensations. 👍🤟
Well done, for back then, I’ve been the main ecomm handler where I work in 🇬🇧 for the last 12 years, and I have seen how quickly you can out grow that space, so looking forward to hopeful seeing a video in the not too distant future, where you have to an update to another premises. x
Thanks Indy & Pigeon, I had been practicing toe-stop drag all wrong. Definitely putting this info to practice. I'll save hills for the future when my stops are on point. lol I really appreciate all the advice and videos we can reference. Blessings for all your enterprises.
My stop: crashing into a wall

YES INDY WE NEED THIS
YES INDY PLEASEEEE
That jumpsuit is giving me life right now indy !!!!
OH MY GOD this helped me so much! Thank you! I just turned 11 years old and I got roller skates for my Birthday, and I was so happy. I have been skating for about a week now, but I am stuck on turning and stopping. This helped me so much!
xXWonderWolfieXx lol sameee! 🤪
if you french fry when you're supposed to pizza you're gonna have a bad time
Raskia oh ok
Raskia ahhh a South Park reference 🤣🤣
IS THAT A SOUTHPARK REFERENCE >:)))
SOUTHERN PARK
I’ve been wondering when I’d come across this reference 👀😹👌🏼
Thank you indy! You inspired me to skate! Love you! You also got my friend and brother into skating!
Who else knows how to stop but is watching because they love indy 🙃
*raises hand* I've been skating for 44 years now...but I love Indy.
My T stops are 👌👌👌👌👌👌 but I’m still here
I JUST ordered a pair of skates from you guys and I can't wait to get them.
Awesome to see your new warehouse, congratz! ~
Thank you again Atomic for all your help via email upon purchasing skates from you, and thank you Indy and Pigeon for the videos.
Do you still have the skates?
@@nailtalkwithdomo4630
Yes I do! And use them as much as I can when outdoor ramps or indoor skate parks allow!
I have been rollerskating since I forced myself to learn in 1992 when I bought some roller skates from the Salvation Army. Never learned to stop outside of running up onto grass or holding onto a light post. Or falling. Thank you for finally getting me learn the proper way to slow down. I love your channel!
Pigeon's purple Jacks are EVERYTHING
So hyped. Bought a pair of beach bunnys last week making another order on Monday! Happy to contribute and get great products in return.
i just found your channel after order my first pair of skates in my 22 years of life and i just wanna say thank you!! thank you for your simple but really useful guides to skating and encouragement. as a plus size woman i was really nervous to start skate but Pigeon is a woman of such strength!! its really inspiring to see that skating is for ever BODY
Her jumpsuit is FABULOUS 👌🏻🤩👌🏻

Thanks for this video! I am a 47 yr old small business owner and just got on skates for the first time since 3rd grade. Having lots of fun, but literally searched hot to stop on roller skates and found this super helpful vid. Much success in your biz!
Friends, thank you so much for the video. I learn a lot with you all and now, I want to try use the breaks. The video is amazing. Success~~🌸
Somehow stopping was my biggest issue when learning how to skate (i kind of managed to do it, but i am still a beginner > . < )
Anyways, thank you so much for your awesome videos, they are super helpful & inspire me to get better at skating 😍🌞
Cathy H Yes! same here, still trying to master stopping.
@@kikaes5894 we can do it! > .
I started roller skating the day before yesterday! I fell a few times tho...but I’m getting better at it!! Now that I’ve watched this I’m getting better at roller skating!
@@jocelyngreen4558 how's skating going now?
n . ø . p . e
Im a lot better at roller skating now! But I still fall a lot XD
Oh this warms my heart to see PRS building such a wonderful empire of rollerskating. I just placed an order last night and I can just imagine my goodies being packed up with love!
As a beginner (literally only been skating g for 3 days) it amazes me how steady you are just standing on the wheels and not wobbling about like I do 😭😂
i can't realate
ikr🤣
Omg! Perfect timing! I'm learning how to roller-skate and I'm struggling with how to stop!! Thanks! ❤️
We'll get there.
I am going on my second date to roller skate! My first time & he actually recommend this video. Thanks ladies!
Did it work out, are y’all together?
And yes, we use the plow stop / pizza in inline skating, too - and slalom turns. ; )
sameee! ive never skiied or skated before and i just started yesterday but I've been using the plow stop (or something similar to that, not exactly a plow stop lol) as my go to so that i don't have to balance on one foot yet and the toe stop kinda scares me still hahaha
i roller skates for the first time too and i still can’t stop although i will say my ice skating lessons as a kid helped which more than i thought
how did you know I needed this?! Damn, I'm so thankful! Gonna try this next time
Me too!! Can't wait to improve
maybe it's my derby brain but the toe-stop drag scares my ankles!
I was yelled at so much in derby for that. Unfortunately no one one stopped to say *why* (because in a derby scenario someone could easily step/trip/fall on you and break your ankle) or what to do *instead*.
Same
I was thinking the same exact thing. I actually came to the comments to see if I was the only one haha.
alexandria perez me too!!
Definitely much more stable backward, although I concede that I don't feel as secure as using the heel brake on my inlines (but I am a new quad / roller skater). I was a bit skeptical of forward braking on toe stops - and sure enough, I found it not all that effective for anything other than very slow speeds.
I just sent this video to our newbies to help them learn outside of derby practice. Super helpful, thank you!!
Thank you!!! I just got my Candi Girl Skates in today and excited to try them out tomorrow
The quality of this video is incredible ✨
Congrats on the new warehouse!!
Hey Indy! I have a question
I've been rollerskating for 7 almost 8 years of my 15 year life, and whenever i try to do a toestop drag, my toestop bounces.
Such clear explanations and demonstrations. Thanks. I just bought new skates and will practice these hopefully tomorrow!
I just got my first pair of skates and your videos are coming in handy!! Thanks :)
I went to the rink for the first time today and your beginner tips were so helpful...now I really wanted more in-depth stopping info and this was insanely useful! Thank you so much!
Got my new skates and sticker pack yesterday, thank you!
Watching from the OC in CA. Just went skating this weekend. Haven't been in mybe 20 years. Looking forward to getting into it more and thank you for posting all these videos. Cheers to your business too
I have learned so much from these videos. Can you make one one grinding and 180 turns.
Every video helps me solidify my massive crush on Pigeon...oh and helps me skate better. I want to get better at snowplows but i do it naturally before i start going to derby clinics. Skating every day and watching these videos help. Thanks yall!
This helped me so much I have inline skates and now I am learning how to use quads with my sister
This is exactly what I needed. I got my skates about 2 weeks ago and I'm trying to learn to stop. THANK YOU
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad that the business is going well!
I love watching your videos! And im super stoked to be in so cal with hopes to run into you, pigeon and the other lovely ladies! Keep up the great work, awesome energy, and helpful videos! Theyre helping beginners like me!
Bought my first every pair of skates today because of you guys!! Super excited
You guys both have the cutest outfits! Made the whole video that much more exciting
I just placed an order last night. Super excited! Thanks Casey A for all your help!!
Congrats on the warehouse! It's so awesome to see how you're growing. You helped me get brave enough to start skating and I've joined a Derby league too! I still suck at stops though, bc I have zero muscle, but I'll get there.
Thanks for the inspiration, ladies!
Yes! This is what I needed! I was practicing stops this morning. Thanks for the help.
Been watching these videos for a while, but hadn’t continued skating after my old ones fell apart. Just got a pair of candi girls and I’m SO excited to try em out!
I'm so envious of Pigeons badass leg muscles! I'm excited to keep skating and keep getting stronger every day!
Thank You!! I’m a young ten year old and this made it really easy for me to understand how to stop! Thank You!🤗
what if the ground is rough and bumpy? how would you do the t-stop
thanks so much for really breaking down the t stop - this is really useful!!
My moxi taffy skates which are my first skates are coming today! I was just at the rink last night tryna figure out how to learn how to stop. I love this channel you guys are amazing 💜💜💜 thank you guys
Congrats. I got my floss in late March
I just found this channel the other day and i love it! It’s helped me so much because I am just learning to roller skate :D
Thank you! I was skating while watching trying to find out how to stop! This really helped! Thank you so so much!
That's so sad!! How did you break it??
Eden Garden I was going to take off the skates and rolled backwards slipped and landed on my foot. So when I fell on my foot I broke two bones.
@@tiffanycalderon9877 Healthy and speedy recovery!
this is perfect! I had stopped practicing because I couldn't figure out how to stop but now I can get back into it in time for summer!!
Y’all I just got y’alls skates for Christmas I’m in love with them
Ruthie Hall ooo, which skates?
I just bought a pair of skates on fb marketplace and IM SO EXCITED! you guys are so cool just like your vibe and i wanna be like you 😂😂
What about the plow into the side of the skating rink at speed method of stopping? :)
Rob Bessell we legit cover this in an upcoming episode lol
I'm self taught, and I've been stopping by doing a kind of reverse plow-stop
Omg I love your channel 😍 I subscribed!
Just got mine!!!! thank you Impala, they are georgeous😍 got the pastel hues skates.
Can you do a video about jumping off or onto different heights? Like curb to parking lot of vice versa? I need some more confidence there
Thanks for these tips!!!! just got a pair today and never done roller skating in my life. hope my figure skating helped
Love how Pigeon is just casually wearing her skates in the intro.💛
Omg I been trying to figure it out and right when I needed its hereeeeee!!! Thank you!!
stopping is like my biggest problem right now I refuse to go down the smallest hill bc it makes me nervous AHH
I just got some skates and started rampskateing a few weeks ago!!! Thx for inspireing me and others!
I so needed this tutorial, thank you. Now I don’t have to do the slam into the wall stop or the keep rolling til I lose momentum stop anymore. You are both ace saleswomen and skating sensations. 👍🤟
Thank you so much! Stopping is really my only skate struggle, now it shouldn’t be a struggle anymore!
As a person who just started roller skating these videos are extremely helpful
this is really helpful. So first I must learn to be on one leg. THank you for breaking it down!
Well done, for back then, I’ve been the main ecomm handler where I work in 🇬🇧 for the last 12 years, and I have seen how quickly you can out grow that space, so looking forward to hopeful seeing a video in the not too distant future, where you have to an update to another premises. x
Omg just THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was struggling how to stop this will help thank you again!!
Thanks Indy & Pigeon, I had been practicing toe-stop drag all wrong. Definitely putting this info to practice. I'll save hills for the future when my stops are on point. lol I really appreciate all the advice and videos we can reference. Blessings for all your enterprises.
