- The EMove Cruiser ($1,399 bit.ly/Emove-Cruiser is a powerful electric scooter with a crazy range rating of 100 km (62 miles). I went on an epic long ride to test that claim and see if it was the truth or just a load of BS!

holding these companies accountable for there specs is absolutely spot on. Love ya work man
Yeah but as of recent he shilled for under powered and under ranged Rad Runner plus.
Use battery capacity specs. I.e. 48V 22Ah yields 1.056kWh. Try the same with other pack capacities
My friend, you forgot the most important infos to support your test :
1- How much do you weigh ?
2- At what speed were you... scooting ?
3- What riding "controller mode" were you... driving ?
4- What was your tire air pressure ?
Next time you want to try this test, pump 5 more pound in your tires to see the difference.
agree that guy a sbou 65kg.. and riding american flat roads.. so yaaa try this in europe and you easily cut that to 35-50km.-.
@@nin1ten1do also add that it was a constant ride, no multiple braking and starting like normal use in a city ride. I weight 115 kg and I have a scooter with 10 mAh battery with a 350 kw motor. I can make in the city in winter time around 12 km with one charge.
@@AC-db4ek agree
@@AC-db4ek btw it’s 10ah and 350w
That 350kw gave me a good laugh tbh no hard feelings 😂
Great video thanks. And thanks for adding metric for 99% of the rest of us
Hahahahahaha
96%, only 93% of internet users.
@@thokim84 "only"
Metric was invented during the french revolution only to be as against God as possible. Weird right? Don't believe me? Look it up.
actually the entire world uses pounds and miles. don’t let the liberal media fool you
Not a lot of people do this kind of test on e-scotters. Thanks for that video!
60 Miles is crazy for an electric scooter, thats awesome
It does not go 60 miles. Am in nyc. Only way it goes 60 miles is if u used the first gear which is the slowest speed 10-15 mph.. if you used it 2nd gear 15-18mph or 3rd gear 20-25mph it does not last 60 miles... i have a emove that's how i know. Am in NYC
You Already I feel like you’re from nyc, not sure tho
@@youalready1207 NYC has a lot of hills though. Hills eat up the battery something fierce. In MIcah's test you can see that there's a lot of flat ground.
I went 53 on speed 2
45 on speed 3
Great endurance test ! I'd like to see more of these !
You deserve praise on your test. This is exactly the kind of test I've recommended to reviewers of electric vehicles for years...full throttle nonstop under a consistent load and grade. You were stopping, which I can understand, but these kinds of things do permit components to cool down which improves efficiency. I would have been satisfied to simply lift the drive wheel and set the throttle full and see how long and far until the wheel stopped turning. Thank you for your effort!
Thanks for doing this! Now, I feel more confident about the range of my new cruiser.
Great vid - thanks for taking the time to conduct this range test. The fact that you were able to achieve and push past the 100km mark at the highest speed setting is a testament to how well this scooter is built. Emove appears to have gotten it right with the Cruiser.
Cruiser is the king of range, if they have the dual motor, they will be the king of scooters imo. I have the cruiser and it goes 65 miles of range on 1 charge. I spread it across multiple usage. A lighter rider in their emove group reported 75 miles of range, that is crazy
At what battery level does the scooter start to lose acceleration?
Is there scooter like this with 2 Motors?
@@baconisgoodtoo amp wise on the gauge on the handle bars for keys( depends on battery usage life) 58.9 full, 42.1 empty, it loses bout 2-3 on 47-48, so half wayish, but i haven't gotten my battery below 25 yet, so at most 5 mile loss on 25-50% battery life if going full speed
That must be gruelling! Thanks for doing this test and much appreciated, man..
That range is insane! Thanks for the test Mikah!
I love the wide deck, high handlebars and amazing specs. Thanks for proving the claims!
First range video I've watched. Good to know this company gave an honest mileage rating on their product. Great job as usual.
Thank you for an extremely useful video. I was leaning towards purchasing the emove cruiser, but this video cinched it. I think I’ll also purchase the seat add on for my long (45 minute) rides. Thanks again.
Can you tell me what you think of the suspension? My suspension on the Turbowheel Swift is not so good, its better than not having any though...
great video. thanks for taking the time to make it. 4years later, how is the scooter holding up these days?
100km at full throttle is actually very impressive. Most of the companies bill their max distance with a lot of caveats like optimum battery temperature and driven at a a pathetically slow speed.
He rode in gear 2 I think
Hey.
Nice real test thanks for the info.
What app are you using for the time/range?
What happens when you let off the trigger while moving? Does the scooter immediately start slowing itself down (the "generator effect") or will it coast like a freewheeling bicycle?
Hello is it still problem with loose screws after drivings??
I read some problems with that.
Great video, thanks for enduring that. Any chance you'll be doing a review of this scooters little brother Emove Touring?
You’re in luck, I already did that one. Search our channel and you’ll find it.
I’ve been looking for an extreme long range scooter, and thanks to you, I found it. Great video,
Thanks for posting it!
Lol love the streets where you are
Super smooth and the houses has bigger garages than the house itself, amazing.
Great test!
What's a good smartphone app for odometer and mph/km. I am suspicious my promoter is way off. But the speedometer seems very accurate.
Thanks for doing this range test. We would love to see this done on more long-range electric bikes, scooters, and motorcycles. How did you get home though?
Prob Uber
@@jorgearana9838 lol how is uber going to take him home WTF he probs got a taxi lmfao
Thanks for the accurate data and all the numbers and variations of speed and time really gives you a perspective of what it's able to handle, btw how much so you weight?
Excellent video!
9to5Mac sup
I have one, I love it, and it runs LONG!!
And fast.
You can adjust your feet position at times and
it helps limber up.
You don’t realize how u put yourself in brace mode which gets tiring over time.
That scooters legitskis!!
Thanks voro!!
You dont have problem with loose screws after drives?
Impressive that you could match the claimed range by riding near continuously at full throttle!
In comparison, electric unicycles manufacturers often claim completely bogus ranges at unrealistic low speeds that can't even be replicated in tests.
So, really good on this PEV manufacturer, it can't be faulted here.
Was looking at the varla eagle one or the wolf warrior x which are around this price but I would much prefer the eagle and wolf both get 40mph but get like 20-25 mi range I would much more prefer 25-30 mph for 50 some odd miles but at that distance I definitely plan on getting the seat with it what speeds were you going at?
According to the website the battery is 1.5 kWh, (52v 30ah), no wonder it can do 100km. This thing must be heavy though. An e-bike with such a large battery would go 150km with very light pedaling.
dna2087 25 kg which is about slightly above average
Glad to know these push further than advertised! I think they def got some customers won with your vid thanks for the content!
I’m a courier, and I do 100 miles routinely, so now you know how it feels with only 100 km, which is why I’m watching your channel to see which scooter would be the best to get around town with enough mileage and Torque for hills of San Francisco to use it for work!?
Definitely an e moped over a scooter if you are doing that much
Great video Micha. Bought the Cruiser! Can you tell me what helmet you're wearing and also how you rigged the camera? Thanks!
Best review! This is the kind of review that i want. Keep it up❤️
Does anyone know the name of that app he’s using for the speed and kilometer
Have you done any test on what speed gives you the best range to battery efficiency?
Hi! Cool video! May I ask where your camera is mounted?
Hey just wondering is it bad for the battery to completely drain it our good for it?
Awesome! Always wondered the real range! How do you mount the pole of your camera? Is that gopro Max? Can you show us how you ride and hold the pole at the same time?
I believe he's using the Insta360 as they come with a feature that gives that look of no pole in the image...it's just a grip of some kind attached to the scooter...he wouldn't hold it and ride at same time
I'd like to know what personal app you're using for speed/distance. I own an electric scooter that has no indicators.
Is it true that the bolts/screws easily come loose on this scooter?
Man, you make a believer out of me. Action does speak louder. 60 mph of range. Far more better than 14 mile range that I got now. And not only that, you cut the time that charging the batteries from empty to full. Thesr guys done it. I can really xplore some more now. I'm gonna have to order that and sell my other one.
Here to help, feel free to reach out to us at voromotors.com
I'm more curious as to how you don't have that much wind noise when you are talking while riding? Lav mic hooked to the gopro and under your shirt with some kind of wind muff? And I assume also some filtering in post?
Just a dead cat over a lav mic, dangling in front of my shirt since the clip broke months ago, lol
Hi what is the fastest speed this goes in option 3. Because 25 mph or 40 kmh is not fast enough as I want 50 mph or 80 kmh per hour but I do love this orange scooter
do you remember how fast you where going for most of the time? thanks
Hello,
If I am 6 foot 1 and weight 240 how many miles do you think I can get out of this in normal conditions like normal use normal speed like 15-18mph max. Don’t want to fall or something 😂. If you could please let me know that would be great! Also if you know of any other good scooters similar to this for my height and weight and similar price let me know. Thanks great video! Looking forward to hearing from you!
Impressive endurance for both you and the scooter. Think you'll have the ability or desire to keep doing these range tests on the eBikes as well? I.e. full throttle or pedal assist runs. Might help everyone with good baseline comparisons.
Yea this seemed to get a bigger reception than I anticipated. If there’s interest I can do this sort of thing on e-bikes too.
Good vid What was your top speed?
Was the tires at max inflation? Thatmay partially account for the "optimistic" speed and distance traveled.
What app do you use to do your range test? I have an Android phone. Thanks
What speed was you riding with?
Good informative video. I will order one.
Out of left field with this point.
I would love to aee a detachable battery like those ebikes. It is a deal breaker for me.
Instead of lugging the bike/scooter out of your car, you can charge the detachable battery at home/hotel.
At a pizza place or a coffee shop or a library, they don't mind you bringing in a battery instead of a scooter.
Happy trails.
What equipment do you have that sticks out from your scooter and records you?
I was about to ask the same question. It's linked in the description.
I’m also in south Florida and thinking about buying one for daily commute to work in boca best honest review I found any chance of meeting up so I could check it out?
What speed did you had true the journey?
I was expecting 80km range, did not expect to make it past 100 - that is amazing and maybe with added battery, who knows how much it could do?
How fast does it go?
I am planning to buy this but i am worried this would work in winter since i live in Canada. Would you please do a test during snow times ?
We have the ideal temperature range for the EMOVE Cruiser and have customers riding during winter.
What's the weight of the rider in this test thanks.
This what I want in a scooter. The mileage mainly. 20+ mph speed is a bonus but long as it goes 15 mph I’m still satisfied
You will get 50miles guarantee at 15-20mph on this scooter, as long as you are under 170lbs 🙌🏿
is there a way to remove the speed limiter on this scooter?
what is that app your using for distance and speed????
nice vid... how was the trip back?...
Curious to know what the built in “optimistic” odometer gave you for the 104 km trip?
And yeah, that looked tiring, thanks for doing it for your subscribers.
Also, as far as range go, would you get a higher range if you did it that way (I’m assuming you did the test continuously), or had breaks in between like every 20 km or so?
I believe it was about 115-120 km, but I pretty much ignored it and looked only at my phone GPS after seeing early on that it read higher than the GPS-verified data.
@@Electrek Another load of BS marketing data to upsell the Emove Cruiser.
Speed is the most important factor which influences range BUT in here we only talk about GPS data, breaks, being tired, FAKE odometer and FAKE range data!
I'm amazed (but not anymore) that an "expert" in building battery packages isn't able by just reading specification to get a close estimate of what would be the max range.
1600W peak motor power, 52V and 30AH battery, +110Kg average weight including rider, some uphills, starts and stops.
Are you good in math or are you just good in upselling marketing BS and getting a free scooter?
@@billadmond9450 Seems like he's very good at math, but applied to $$$. Your approach would be to make a one-line remark in a forum, which I won't believe, while his approach shows that it's feasible in the real world.
Could it be done 'by doing the calculations/measurements'? Sure. Fun? Hardly.
@@grandbuba There are already too many stupid fanbois like you on the troll bandwagon that I won't spend time with numbers and data.
You're just too stupid and uneducated that you can't even troll the proper way.
@@Electrek people pay a lot of money for bodyboard vibration board including it is sad pro athletes and certainly University teams use those machines. It's been over a year since I've chimed in about how the scooters seem to produce a similar experience. That is not only is it tiring but it's a low injury workout? Since you know what it's like the next day you could volunteer some information about whether or not you build some muscle did some toning and although it would just be speculation what if you are doing this daily or every other day? Most scooters are reviewed for their suspensions not for the healthy vibrations that do get to the body. Since many people ride for sport for leisure and not for transportation I have yet to see a scooter that was designed to take advantage of the science of the kind of vibrations and distance Etc the Board needs to be moving in. Now scooter deck isn't as wide as these machines that you will find at a health club or pay thousands of dollars for and most paths are not as conducive to various yoga positions etcetera of the calisthenics sort that are in Turbo because of the vibration but there are various writing positions that you could incorporated into the design of scooter so my money is that for Christmas there is going to be a squirtle squirt are for the girls LOL I did say scooter that gets marketed by before and after pictures of the butts just like other exercise equipment does. I nominate this one if you want to get a bite but can't get yourself out there without calling an Uber before you broke a sweat I guarantee that if you ride with a friend and you both leave your phones behind heading out to a really nice destination remembering to bring your masks but no money or plastic you will get what you seek.
It is a different Market than micro Mobility has pursued before. Let the entrepreneurs commence to dominate it! unless I'm ignorant anybody who pursues it aggressively will have the first crack. The scooter deck is a stage and It prepares you to be up on the podium if that's what you seek the lean muscular physique. please note that although surfboarding requires Talent and definitely is a sport muscles respond to vibration because it torques them and swimming is more cardiovascular t h a n toning and that your foot wear will matter so don't wear Z coils if the goal is not to be sore in your muscles not your joints. the impacts are not the sort that destroy the the joints they are continuous and small and frequent many many more than walking or running and yes if you have a huge parking lot all to yourself you can do handstands etcetera on a scooter to work out your upper body as well but don't blame me if you get injured or kill somebody and please advise your loved ones it's not my fault I did say empty parking lot and obviously not while you're beginner or prior to this possibility being confirmed.
What mode did u have the scooter in bud I might have missed it
where can i buy it sir?any suggestion
now what is the average speed you went? were you consistently on speed mode 2/3?
I have a Zero 9 scooter and after watching this video I’m starting to feel like I got played! I’ve ridden in mode 1 for only 40 minutes and the scooter cuts off without warning!!!! It sucks! Just bought an Emove from Voro Motors for my favorite gal, a couple months ago. Love it. Getting one, for myself, soon.
*I bought a HyperpowerSports scooter from a vendor in Florida. It's a 1600 Watt motor that's based on the Uberscoot and Evo series platform. The controller burned out and took over a year to figure out how to fix it. The vendor does not offer customer support but will take your money for parts. I replaced the 48 Volt SLA battery with a 60 Volt lithium ion. It's lighter and more powerful than the SLA. I don't what the range is but guessing about 50 to 75 miles per charge.*
What size are the tires?
Which app do you use?
Do a video about the Emove Touring range some time in the future! If the performace of its bigger brother is this fantastic, the touring should have similar results and I can actually afford the Touring.
They use different batteries, Although the top speed is the same the ranges are drastically different, The Touring gets according to Voromotors 40 KM/25 Miles.
@@Spursrule1969 They both have new 2020 LG batterys but the touring is just much smaller
@@Pintexx
Yes the same brand but completely different specs, Cruiser is 52V 30AH LG, Touring 48V 13AH LG, So the AH are the issue, The Cruiser has 30, the Touring only 13, That means the Cruiser has 2.3 times the AH the Touring has, Which is why it can do 2.5 times the range.
loved your fair/unbiased review
It got to over 60 miles because the scooter wss tested in Miami that's what I could see, you dont have any hills there, just flat roads. If it were tested in San Francisco I guess that the rangw would be half of that.
No link for the scooter ?
This is true!!! I own the Emove Cruiser and the battery life is amazing!!!
how is it with hills? do you lose alot of range?
Did you do this on speed 1 or speed 3? I just bought one and i'm curious.
