My friend, you forgot the most important infos to support your test : 1- How much do you weigh ? 2- At what speed were you... scooting ? 3- What riding "controller mode" were you... driving ? 4- What was your tire air pressure ? Next time you want to try this test, pump 5 more pound in your tires to see the difference.
@@nin1ten1do also add that it was a constant ride, no multiple braking and starting like normal use in a city ride. I weight 115 kg and I have a scooter with 10 mAh battery with a 350 kw motor. I can make in the city in winter time around 12 km with one charge.
Cruiser is the king of range, if they have the dual motor, they will be the king of scooters imo. I have the cruiser and it goes 65 miles of range on 1 charge. I spread it across multiple usage. A lighter rider in their emove group reported 75 miles of range, that is crazy

You deserve praise on your test. This is exactly the kind of test I've recommended to reviewers of electric vehicles for years...full throttle nonstop under a consistent load and grade. You were stopping, which I can understand, but these kinds of things do permit components to cool down which improves efficiency. I would have been satisfied to simply lift the drive wheel and set the throttle full and see how long and far until the wheel stopped turning. Thank you for your effort!
It does not go 60 miles. Am in nyc. Only way it goes 60 miles is if u used the first gear which is the slowest speed 10-15 mph.. if you used it 2nd gear 15-18mph or 3rd gear 20-25mph it does not last 60 miles... i have a emove that's how i know. Am in NYC
@@youalready1207 NYC has a lot of hills though. Hills eat up the battery something fierce. In MIcah's test you can see that there's a lot of flat ground.

According to the website the battery is 1.5 kWh, (52v 30ah), no wonder it can do 100km. This thing must be heavy though. An e-bike with such a large battery would go 150km with very light pedaling.
100km at full throttle is actually very impressive. Most of the companies bill their max distance with a lot of caveats like optimum battery temperature and driven at a a pathetically slow speed.
*I bought a HyperpowerSports scooter from a vendor in Florida. It's a 1600 Watt motor that's based on the Uberscoot and Evo series platform. The controller burned out and took over a year to figure out how to fix it. The vendor does not offer customer support but will take your money for parts. I replaced the 48 Volt SLA battery with a 60 Volt lithium ion.It's lighter and more powerful than the SLA. I don't what the range is but guessing about 50 to 75 miles per charge.*

Also, as far as range go, would you get a higher range if you did it that way (I’m assuming you did the test continuously), or had breaks in between like every 20 km or so?
I believe it was about 115-120 km, but I pretty much ignored it and looked only at my phone GPS after seeing early on that it read higher than the GPS-verified data.

Most scooters are reviewed for their suspensions not for the healthy vibrations that do get to the body. Since many people ride for sport for leisure and not for transportation I have yet to see a scooter that was designed to take advantage of the science of the kind of vibrations and distance Etc the Board needs to be moving in. Get a scooter that comes with a seat. And a scooter with a suspension. And a large battery option. 3200w scooter with 30 Ah battery at medium speed should get you 40 miles if not better. And you will be comfortable...
Personally I prefer bikes for long trips. However, I find that my neck can get pretty tired from holding my head and helmet up after about 2-3 hours pedaling a bike, so it’s something of a trade off. Just depends which part of your body you want hurting! 😀
Impressive that you could match the claimed range by riding near continuously at full throttle! In comparison, electric unicycles manufacturers often claim completely bogus ranges at unrealistic low speeds that can't even be replicated in tests. So, really good on this PEV manufacturer, it can't be faulted here.
Unbelievable, my Maike 42Ah 67v can make only around 60-70 km when fully charged with me 220 lbs. How is it possible that 30Ah can ride further than 42Ah with even higher voltage onboard?

What is the top speed? The website is so vague that it actually doesn't tell you, the most it says is 0-15mph in a few seconds, but isn't clarifying whether 15 is the limit (which if it is, is bad)
Do a video about the Emove Touring range some time in the future! If the performace of its bigger brother is this fantastic, the touring should have similar results and I can actually afford the Touring.
They use different batteries, Although the top speed is the same the ranges are drastically different, The Touring gets according to Voromotors 40 KM/25 Miles.
@@Pintexx Yes the same brand but completely different specs, Cruiser is 52V 30AH LG, Touring 48V 13AH LG, So the AH are the issue, The Cruiser has 30, the Touring only 13, That means the Cruiser has 2.3 times the AH the Touring has, Which is why it can do 2.5 times the range.
It got to over 60 miles because the scooter wss tested in Miami that's what I could see, you dont have any hills there, just flat roads. If it were tested in San Francisco I guess that the rangw would be half of that.
Was looking at the varla eagle one or the wolf warrior x which are around this price but I would much prefer the eagle and wolf both get 40mph but get like 20-25 mi range I would much more prefer 25-30 mph for 50 some odd miles but at that distance I definitely plan on getting the seat with it what speeds were you going at?

Good informative video. I will order one. Out of left field with this point. I would love to aee a detachable battery like those ebikes. It is a deal breaker for me. Instead of lugging the bike/scooter out of your car, you can charge the detachable battery at home/hotel. How fast are you going? They have 3 gears, I have a e move it does goes about 50-60. Also how fast were u going when I used the 3rd gear 20-25 mph the battery don't last 50-60 miles. Am in NYC i used up about 30-40 miles a day. . Still good enough to me a in NYC. this is my experience
At 2:15 of the video (30 minutes riding) he shows the display with avg speed of 37.79 (I assume kmh) which is nearly 23.5 mph. At 3:49 (after 2 hours 11 min riding, 80 kilometers) the display shows avg speed of 36.82 (22.8). Finally (at 4:41) after hitting 100 kilometers the display shows 36.06(?) (22.4) which is still phenomenal!
Robert nailed it. And the built-in speedometer/odometer on the scooter isn’t totally accurate but the large screen you see is my phone GPS which is accurate.
1st world 🗺 electric scooter problems: My Joyor x8/Y9 I only used 3 time’s during the pandemic lock-down 😷 , and now it only half-charges. It still flies like a bat out of hell 30mph, but no longer for a 50 mile range. It cost $1,049 & I don’t want to drop another $549 on a new battery & charger. Help! I just bought amove crusier after returning a new apollo air 2023 wich apollo only gave me max 15 miles on full charge and its rated 43 miles . Battery and speed begin to drop after 5 miles , i should have gotten emove sooner
BSMTV RAIDS ~ I bought a refurbished Emove Cruiser directly from the company to save a few hundred dollars, and it was trash right out the box. It’s never worked right. Screws keep falling out, and there is this weird ticking sound in the front wheel area that no one can figure out. They won’t take it back because I bought it used. Add a few hundred dollars and buy a better scooter from another company.
@@NoProGoPronto I had a clicking/ticking sound coming from the front. But it was under the deck where the sound was really coming from. Open up your deck and check for anything loose . That screw under the folding mech is gonna be a pain in the ass to remove I had to remove the whole locking mech and stem to access that screw.

ebike is more smooth cause bigger wheels, my area have bad road and cracks so you will feel that bump every time if you scooter with 10 inch wheels, but it feels great to stand and ride, as for scooter with seats, i still recommend ebikes cause you can pedal, and move your leg muscles around, you will get sore sitting and not moving for hours
Micah, just one thing I must've missed : What's your weight ? I weigh 185 lbs. For sure if I weighed 20 lbs less, it would probably increase the speed and extend the range even more.
Rider weight factors into it as well as not climbing hills as you said, so you should have stated your weight or "I'm about 75 kilo" or whatever so people can guage wether the scooter will suit them. a 120kg rider is not going to get the same range as a 75 kilo rider. I get my Cruiser this week - cant wait - ordered the white one. I expect 80-90 kilometer range as I have hills to deal with and am 73 kilo so on the lighter side, but 80 kilos loaded up with laptop and camera gear.

Yes the same brand but completely different specs, Cruiser is 52V 30AH LG, Touring 48V 13AH LG, So the AH are the issue, The Cruiser has 30, the Touring only 13, That means the Cruiser has 2.3 times the AH the Touring has, Which is why it can do 2.5 times the range.

He was in mode 3 flat road no weight mentioned which is a huge factor along with hill climbing.

It got to over 60 miles because the scooter wss tested in Miami that's what I could see, you dont have any hills there, just flat roads. If it were tested in San Francisco I guess that the rangw would be half of that.
This what I want in a scooter. The mileage mainly. 20+ mph speed is a bonus but long as it goes 15 mph I’m still satisfied
You will get 50miles guarantee at 15-20mph on this scooter, as long as you are under 170lbs 🙌🏿
Was looking at the varla eagle one or the wolf warrior x which are around this price but I would much prefer the eagle and wolf both get 40mph but get like 20-25 mi range I would much more prefer 25-30 mph for 50 some odd miles but at that distance I definitely plan on getting the seat with it what speeds were you going at?
I’m really trying to decide if I should get this. I love how much range it has but the speed is a little bit low. I would pay $1000 more for a version that could go an extra 10km/h.
I'm more curious as to how you don't have that much wind noise when you are talking while riding? Lav mic hooked to the gopro and under your shirt with some kind of wind muff? And I assume also some filtering in post?

I would love to aee a detachable battery like those ebikes. It is a deal breaker for me.
Instead of lugging the bike/scooter out of your car, you can charge the detachable battery at home/hotel.
At a pizza place or a coffee shop or a library, they don't mind you bringing in a battery instead of a scooter.

Was the tires at max inflation? Thatmay partially account for the "optimistic" speed and distance traveled.

you may get longer range if you do not drive max speed but 20-25kmt, max range is mesured on lower speeds and single motor and eco mode on
How fast are you going? They have 3 gears, I have a e move it does goes about 50-60. Also how fast were u going when I used the 3rd gear 20-25 mph the battery don't last 50-60 miles. Am in NYC i used up about 30-40 miles a day. . Still good enough to me a in NYC. this is my experience

I have only one question, because I am getting that scooter soon, what speed were you maintaining during your 103 kilometer trip?
At 2:15 of the video (30 minutes riding) he shows the display with avg speed of 37.79 (I assume kmh) which is nearly 23.5 mph. At 3:49 (after 2 hours 11 min riding, 80 kilometers) the display shows avg speed of 36.82 (22.8). Finally (at 4:41) after hitting 100 kilometers the display shows 36.06(?) (22.4) which is still phenomenal!
keep in mind the speedometer might be overstated

Robert nailed it. And the built-in speedometer/odometer on the scooter isn’t totally accurate but the large screen you see is my phone GPS which is accurate.
1st world 🗺 electric scooter problems: My Joyor x8/Y9 I only used 3 time’s during the pandemic lock-down 😷 , and now it only half-charges. It still flies like a bat out of hell 30mph, but no longer for a 50 mile range. It cost $1,049 & I don’t want to drop another $549 on a new battery & charger. Help! PS: I notice that my scooter drains after I cross down bridges. Am I not passing through my 3 gears correctly? All help deeply appreciated 😀

Insta360 has a feature that deletes the stick in camera so it looks like it's not there

I just bought amove crusier after returning a new apollo air 2023 wich apollo only gave me max 15 miles on full charge and its rated 43 miles . Battery and speed begin to drop after 5 miles , i should have gotten emove sooner

BSMTV RAIDS ~ I bought a refurbished Emove Cruiser directly from the company to save a few hundred dollars, and it was trash right out the box. It’s never worked right. Screws keep falling out, and there is this weird ticking sound in the front wheel area that no one can figure out. They won’t take it back because I bought it used. Add a few hundred dollars and buy a better scooter from another company.
@@NoProGoPronto I had a clicking/ticking sound coming from the front. But it was under the deck where the sound was really coming from. Open up your deck and check for anything loose . That screw under the folding mech is gonna be a pain in the ass to remove I had to remove the whole locking mech and stem to access that screw.

Impressive endurance for both you and the scooter. Think you'll have the ability or desire to keep doing these range tests on the eBikes as well? I.e. full throttle or pedal assist runs. Might help everyone with good baseline comparisons.

ebike is more smooth cause bigger wheels, my area have bad road and cracks so you will feel that bump every time if you scooter with 10 inch wheels, but it feels great to stand and ride, as for scooter with seats, i still recommend ebikes cause you can pedal, and move your leg muscles around, you will get sore sitting and not moving for hours

Micah, just one thing I must've missed : What's your weight ? I weigh 185 lbs. For sure if I weighed 20 lbs less, it would probably increase the speed and extend the range even more.

Am sure if I went 40 kmh max all the way, I wouldn't get more than 60km....but that's still great, tho !

Rider weight factors into it as well as not climbing hills as you said, so you should have stated your weight or "I'm about 75 kilo" or whatever so people can guage wether the scooter will suit them. a 120kg rider is not going to get the same range as a 75 kilo rider. I get my Cruiser this week - cant wait - ordered the white one. I expect 80-90 kilometer range as I have hills to deal with and am 73 kilo so on the lighter side, but 80 kilos loaded up with laptop and camera gear.
