I have one… lots of problems so far. The bolt that tightens the stem latch broke, which is a single point of failure, I nearly died when it happened because the stem fell down. They sent out new mechanisms to all early adopters. The throttle gets stuck at like 5%. They replaced the battery under warranty. It completely shuts off randomly when I play on the Bluetooth speaker. The mechanism that locks the stem in the down position got jammed a week into ownership. It overheats really easy in 75 degree weather after about 20mins. The rear “shock” is horrendous. Most of all I fucking hate the drum brakes, they are very hard to pull and provide zero feedback. All my socials are filled with their ads, makes me hate them. I do also have the City pro, and the go. The go is great so far minus the poor range, the city has had a bunch of problems too. As an electromechanical engineer, I give the design a D. I do like the 12" tires though, and it’s cool looking.
I bought one of these around Christmas time for $3,299.00. I have no idea how I did this, but it was dropped, while in the lowest power setting. After picking it up and repeatedly pressing the power button to get it out of the low speed mode. It now reads that it is in Ludo mode, and has run to 55mph? I have no idea how this happened, and would like to know how to switch it back? 35mph, 40mph is fast enough? He just told me what happened. Thank you, bro.
Try sending it back. You should NEVER have to be worried about any scooter damage or breaking your scooter by dropping it at all, and for a scooter, that costs 3k. I dropped my Ninebot Max and Wolf Gt over 60 times and there's no internal damage whatsoever and I believe there won't ever be with more.
I own this scooter and I wanted to add that when you squeeze the brake levers it combines the drum and regen together. I found this out by riding my scooter down a hill with it powered off and I hit the drum brakes and it was so much weaker of a stopping force than when powered on.
It seems Apollo is getting somewhere with the 13” tires and great range but yeah I’m not sure I’d want the drum brakes. But I’d have to test it out to see. It looks refined tho. If it comes down a bit in price it’s gonna be a great unit.
I dont really see what makes most 3-4k scooters that much better than most 1600-2k scooters. Maybe I just dont understand top of the line core components tho. idk
I had mine for about two weeks and then the steering column seized up and got super tight. It would stick while trying to turn and then loosen up after a few seconds. (Super dangerous and had to stop riding it obviously) The repair process has been a nightmare with Apollo and was wondering if you ran into any issues with the steering. I have about 200 miles on it and it was about two weeks old. A 3rd party scooter repair shop said it's definitely a manufacture defect, but it's a shame that they're fighting a customer vs trying to work it out with them.
For the charging speed aspect, faster will cause more wear but that one is so low powered adding a second would still probably not even make them get much warmer. those Samsung batteries are rated for a minimum 0.5C normal charge rate, or in other words about two hours to full as C rating is charge current compared to capacity. Any pack that takes longer that two hours to fill is charging below 0.5C, in this case 6 hours would mean not even a 0.2C charge rate. The same Samsung batteries are rated for up to 4C quick charge, this is where you'll see more noticeable degradation especially without cell cooling, but in this case doubling the charge current would be pretty safe as far as cell longevity is concerned.
not going to brag or anything but my Kugookirin G3 pro which has dual 1200w motors and a 70 kmh top speed is way better for the price and its 1200 dollars and has everything this scooter needs from hydraulic disk brakes dual spring shock absorbers and it feels quicker than this Apollo
This scooter is luxury performance all the way. I’d take it at the $3299 specials they offer over the poorly made scooters that cost $800 less. In the end you get what you pay for and with this scooter you get great build and performance quality.
I’m paying 4000 only for wolf king gtr and Segway gt2, maybe once mini motors dualtron makes a comfort hyper scooter or Samsung weped with a scooter that built for overall use
I'd be willing to bet that MOST, not all, of the people bashing this scoot scoot are android phone users. It'd be interesting to see that poll. Some people don't buy premium products to go the fastest or have the most cutting edge features. Some people value form equally to function. This scooter is pricy, beautiful, and well laid out. I'll be ordering mine soon!! Whoever suggested the Yume Y11 Pro likely has a clunky Samsung s10 or something like that as that scooter is hideous (and check your homeowners policy with those yume batteries!!)
I own an Apollo Pro and have firsthand experience with it. To be honest, the built quality isn't that great. I received a brand-new scooter, and there were manufacturing defects on the aircraft's aluminum parts, defects in the paint, and scratches all over the body. They gave me $200 off the price, but I am stuck with the scooter. This was my first and last experience with Apollo.
3,800 scooter with only 1200w motors, CABLE BREAKS? cmon bro for that price?? The app seems pretty garbage, akward sized deck And also this is my personal opinion but that stem seems pretty unsafe. I ride hard and i'd be afraid with that stem weld... But I mean i quess its quality?
Only problem I had with the scooter was LED light controller that sits inside the deck. It gets too hot and causes condensation buildup. The scooter is IP66 so the condensation has nowhere to go and just gets worse.
The GPS feature is disabled and is no longer available per Apollo. I just purchased a brand new Apollo pro this last month. That feature is not available any longer.
A scooter at that price point should have a 72V and 50 Amps at the very least, also it should at the very least have 2*3kw nominal and 2*5kw burst power on its motors, especially with 12" wheels, which of course also is a must for a scooter this extremely expensive. It's a pity because I like the stand and it being a bit more waterproofed. If it had at least the above specs, I would be in the marked. This thing though, not a chance. PS: yeah I didn't even see that before reacting, the breaks I mean, are they for real? Sell it for 999,- and we can talk.
Don't forget this thing has drum brakes for $3,000+ I'm paying $3,000 I want hydraulic disc brakes to go along with the regen breaking that mostly all scooters have
One thing I always found strange when it comes to configuring scooter software, regardless of brands - choosing a top speed for each drive mode. Unless you're lending your scooter to a kid or otherwise inexperienced rider, why would anyone limit the top speed in any drive mode? Throttle response, eco mode, braking intensity, sure, but it seems arbitrary to lock yourself into a speed range, when basic physics will limit you just fine. These things go 80km/h (~50mph) tops. I've got an Apollo Phantom (V3) with 3800kms on it (~2400 miles), and though I'm good at doing routine maintenance (tightening bolts, lubing suspension/hubs/stem), and I've had to change tires on mine a few times - I still haven't had any issues with overheating, nor have I had any flat tires, and the stem has been solid. I'm 195lbs but I rarely hop it off a curb taller than 3 inches - and I'm wondering where all these people who crack stems are coming from. I always have the regen set to maximum - and aside from a couple of emergency stops where I've had to use my hydraulic brakes, I've used the regen exclusively. Having a dedicated regen lever is possibly the one thing that sets Apollo ahead of all other brands for me. Takes a while to get used to how regen braking resistance works, but I find it to be far superior to any braking other than immediate, emergency stops. It's smooth, predictable, a LOT stronger, works on both wheels, and you won't skid your rear wheel except on gravel or loose dirt. No matter how good your disc brakes are, they're gonna make some noise, they're gonna grind, and wear down pads. Regen is almost silent. I'm definitely considering the Pro as my next scooter - dedicated regen is tipping the scale over some super high performance scooters in its price range. Plus, you can fold it, pick it up and put it in your car. I'm pretty strong, my Phantom is about 100lbs with its stem bag & tools & chunky bike lock - but I won't be looking for a scooter that goes 130km/h & weighing 130lbs+.
How have you liked your Apollo scooter? They seem to get a weird amount of heat for build quality, but they also seem to care a lot about built quality.
@@Jamesbsc I don't have anything to compare it to, brand-wise. I had a '22 Ghost, which I put about 2k kms on, which I would never recommend. I've got 4300kms on it now - I put hydraulic brakes on it first thing, but rarely use them thanks to dedicated regen braking. A bolt for the handlebars has stripped, making them creak a lot, Some bolts are just too wimpy - but the stem has always been steady, without fail. I'm 195lbs & though I don't jump off curbs often, I've put the frame under a lot stress, with no issues, bends or cracks. Apollo went from making generic scooters that nobody should've been on - rickety crap - to the most innovative in the business, so you'll get a lot of people unhappy with older designs. Their service WAS bad at one time, but they've been great with me, customer since July '22. Parts were tough to find, and Apollo presented themselves as a client-friendly company, but find ANY brand who can claim "yes, it's in stock, we'll send it now" or "we're sorry that broke, we'll send a new one right away". I think a lot of people thought these scooters were like vehicles that required no maintenance. I've had to order parts a few times, had tech questions about what kind of tubes to get with tires, what bolt is this, do you have any, etc. They always answered me right away'ish and gave *pretty* good advice. But I've been scooting for over a year now & think I know where I can get parts & know how to fix anything mechanical. The thing about the Phantom is, you have to be vigilant in keeping all possible bolts tight & the tires at 50 psi. I rarely grab the scooter first thing in the morning & just go, I'm checking tire PSI, checking the lug nuts, and every few days, the bolts that hold the silver rims that connect the wheel hemispheres together. Then I'll lube the stem & shocks every week or so - but honestly, it's 10 mins per week, maybe. Changing a tire is hard & tedious, though. If I was gonna get ANY scooter, it'd have to have tubeless tires. The Pro is really pretty awesome. Portable still, yet 12" tires, IP66, dedicated regen braking, etc. I'd get one before a Nami Klima or Klima Max, but the Nami Burn-E2 Max has to take the crown for "best scooter you can fit into a car somehow".
In my opinion, the VMAX R55 Pro is it cheaper and better version I’ve been riding it for the past three months it glides the acceleration is good, but you can also change like the Apollo but it’s half the price
My Tifgalop scooter comes with hydraulic brakes, regenerative braking,12 inch tubeless tires, and the top speed is 60mph All for 1,400$ The build quality cold be a little better but it's not bad at all
Do yourself a favour, ride on wet roads, not too wet, but enough that it will flick up under the deck from the tyres. Then check underneath to where battery, controllers, wires will be. And confirm it’s dry as and it hasn’t entered through the supposed IP66 water resistance rating.
Apollo Pro! Ease of storage, lower maintenance and so much safer! Saves you the back pain and maintenance headaches compared to the GT2! Otherwise, you may as well get a Surron if you want extra power!
@chaxologist2961 U r talking nonsense. No comparison gt2 is 1000 times a better build and way smoother. This a commuter scooter. PRO IS A JOKE AND OVWR PRICED SO THE FOOL IS YOU 😆
I had the Apollo Pro and sold it. I did not like the back suspension it was very stiff. The Regan break is not strong enough even on the highest setting. Didn’t like the drum breaks. I got a Nami Burn E 2 max and riding it is like riding a cloud.
this is similar in price to the aniiokie A8 Pro Max 52V Dual Motor Ebike out of the box with no sale price so both do same speeds an the latter has 200mile rang. with swap-able batteries. but this ev razor is nice in its own right. the cheapest sketcy high speed ev reazor like it in speed was like 850 i found with china cells only con to pro was it had 4.5 stars.
100% Not and it never did in my opinion. The gt2 is the all around scooter, mine is over a year old it has 4k kilometres without any problems I didn’t even change break pads.
get the gt2 apollo is not a good company.. just search for horror stories about them on the electricscooters subreddit, most of the community don't like them
@@ricardorodriguesrr18I was cleaning the scooter with pressure washer so water got inside, I removed it by sacking the scooter, never had any issues but do be sure store it somewhere dry and clean it with foam spray and towels.
I have a Varla Eagle One v2 and the hydraulic disc brakes are by far the worst part of the scooter. ignoring the broken leds that they ship every scooter with and are unable to replace or repair with working leds. they sent me 4 sets of leds broken in the exact same way. even their youtube advertisement where they try and sell you on buying the scooter, shows the leds being broken.
Rubber gasket suspension in the rear? For that amount of money? I'd rather have the Segway GT2 for $2,499 is made better and has way better quality control over Apollo. The price they want for this is ridiculous to not have rear shocks just like in the front. That deck is so small that that's got to be for children or women because I got size 11s and there's no way my feet are going to fit on that Even if I put my right foot sideways and then put my left foot straight
Especially with drum brakes. For the same amount of money you can get any scooter with hydraulic disc brakes and they have regen breaking just like this
It is an infringement of the Apollo Pro! The CTO of Apollo confirmed that and the Punk Rider does not have any service locations or replacement parts as compared to the Apollo Pro so buy that cheap, Chinese copycat at your own risk!
That’s RS money, and I get that this and an RS are two different scooters but I just don’t see where this makes up for everything the RS does better. It’s a nice looking scooter but I’m not sure the looks can single handedly distract you from the price.
I think it's a bit overpriced for low specs it has im geussing similar performance like my nami klima tho it's light weight not back braking to lift which is good. Other stuff on it that other scooters don't have like GPS and like turning light indicator on the tips of the handle bars.

As an electromechanical engineer, I give the design a D. I do like the 12" tires though, and it’s cool looking.
my man is back, i was waiting for yaaahh!! :D
Sorry, dude, sounds like you’re stuck going 55 mph only, should not have dropped it
Try sending it back.
Maybe I just dont understand top of the line core components tho. idk
I have 2 Apollo Pros's....their not going to wow you with speed and torq..they are SUPER stable and smooth scooters. AWesome for commuting.
If you dont like them so much give me one of them 😁
@@GearWave whats the battery voltage on your Apollo Pro. It says it on the charger right ? I know its not a 72 volt maybe a 60 volt Idk? Thank you.
@@Syncere20 60 I believe
I had mine for about two weeks and then the steering column seized up and got super tight. It would stick while trying to turn and then loosen up after a few seconds. (Super dangerous and had to stop riding it obviously) The repair process has been a nightmare with Apollo and was wondering if you ran into any issues with the steering. I have about 200 miles on it and it was about two weeks old. A 3rd party scooter repair shop said it's definitely a manufacture defect, but it's a shame that they're fighting a customer vs trying to work it out with them.
@@hanersky7 mine is doing that now.
Looks cool. The only thing I don't like is the deck seems to short. Great video like always
not going to brag or anything but my Kugookirin G3 pro which has dual 1200w motors and a 70 kmh top speed is way better for the price and its 1200 dollars and has everything this scooter needs from hydraulic disk brakes dual spring shock absorbers and it feels quicker than this Apollo
All videos are GREAT! Thank YOU!!
That bike and pedestrian lane is so cool
Awesome channel for everything electric and mobile ❤
I think this maybe good on road but the best all rounder and better off road is still the wolf king gtr
This scooter is better

Gun to my head pick, I would probably get the Graffiti X.
Was just wondering why we hadn't seen a new Juiced video!
Apollo Phantom V4X is similar performance with 18650 battery and less than $2000 USD
$4k for a 40mph scooter🤪 terrible
Fr but it’s 50 mph but it’s still terrible cuz of the price
Yes my ReddyRD1 can do 62mph for half the price
It’s not Always about the speed but the safety it has a self healing tire and it’s “hyper luxury“ in a way
Do a review on the Nami Burn E 2 max, you will see the difference between this junk and a real Hyper scooter!!!
Do you think it would benefit from a steering damper?
Solid. Thanks Matt!
This scooter is luxury performance all the way. I’d take it at the $3299 specials they offer over the poorly made scooters that cost $800 less. In the end you get what you pay for and with this scooter you get great build and performance quality.
lil bro you know you can get a better scooter than apollo pro for $700? And it's better in every metric
Please review the teewing mars xtr 10000w next
If you want a 45 mph dual 1200w motor commuter scooter you can find one in the 1k range (on sale for 6-800)
I’m paying 4000 only for wolf king gtr and Segway gt2, maybe once mini motors dualtron makes a comfort hyper scooter or Samsung weped with a scooter that built for overall use
What does phones have to do with anything 😭🙏
Cable brakes and a rubber flapper in the rear. So premium
You should try testing the evercross pro scooter
Hi Matt, love your chilled review style. Where abouts are you? The beach rides there look beautiful.
Looks like Santa Monica or Malibu. I’ve seen the pier before.
@@Jamesbsc cheers, on my list of places to visit. Looks like a vibe.
I'll have it
3,800 scooter with only 1200w motors, CABLE BREAKS? cmon bro for that price??
Don't forget this thing has drum brakes for $3,000+ I'm paying $3,000 I want hydraulic disc brakes to go along with the regen breaking that mostly all scooters have
2 Chargers going doesn't decrease your battery hardly at all. MAYBE a few mins over a few years. You forgot to add that part lol
30:32...Why did Elijah Wood try to run you off the sidewalk? Dudes arms were the size diameter as his handlebars.
5:53 bro is magical
Stem is pushed backwards too much and pushing riders over the rear wheel. Should have left phantom angle, really comfy.
Round here that ranger is still in excellent condition
In my opinion, the VMAX R55 Pro is it cheaper and better version I’ve been riding it for the past three months it glides the acceleration is good, but you can also change like the Apollo but it’s half the price
My Tifgalop scooter comes with hydraulic brakes, regenerative braking,12 inch tubeless tires, and the top speed is 60mph
All for 1,400$
The build quality cold be a little better but it's not bad at all
Do yourself a favour, ride on wet roads, not too wet, but enough that it will flick up under the deck from the tyres. Then check underneath to where battery, controllers, wires will be. And confirm it’s dry as and it hasn’t entered through the supposed IP66 water resistance rating.
I’m wondering why I didn’t get a stem latch upgrade kit. I got my scooter only one month ago
Segway GT2 is where its at 1000$ less
FINALLY:)
I’m trying to decide if I should get the Segway gt2 or the Apollo pro
Buy the gt2. GT2 is a real power scooter , trust me Apollo is shit.
@@ENOCH0000 agreed this is way overpriced
Gt2 all the way.
It’s also a lot cheaper

@chaxologist2961
U r talking nonsense.
Hard to change wheels?
Ofc its good quality 🇨🇦🇨🇦
$$3800 no adjustable rear suspension and standard drum brakes . the segway GT2 is a wayyy better scooter. and 800 bucks cheaper
3800???
FOR WHAT 😢
this is similar in price to the aniiokie A8 Pro Max 52V Dual Motor Ebike out of the box with no sale price so both do same speeds an the latter has 200mile rang. with swap-able batteries. but this ev razor is nice in its own right. the cheapest sketcy high speed ev reazor like it in speed was like 850 i found with china cells only con to pro was it had 4.5 stars.
Is this worth the extra grand plus over the Segway GT2 now? ($2500)
100%
100% Not and it never did in my opinion.
The gt2 is the all around scooter, mine is over a year old it has 4k kilometres without any problems I didn’t even change break pads.
get the gt2

I have a Varla Eagle One v2 and the hydraulic disc brakes are by far the worst part of the scooter. ignoring the broken leds that they ship every scooter with and are unable to replace or repair with working leds. they sent me 4 sets of leds broken in the exact same way. even their youtube advertisement where they try and sell you on buying the scooter, shows the leds being broken.
as somebody that owns an apollo scooter this scooter for the price needs a 72v battery instead of a 52v 35ah or 30ah
Why would i get this when i can get a makuta 10+ ? i dont get it..yeah it looks more pristine but what else?
please do a review of the hx x9
Yo! Let me buy that off you.
i wanted to get one of these but my city 23 the screws on the handle bars come loose after a few miles and over heats just as fast
This scooter is not worth 3800 .....no display bruh this is like 1400 dollars scooter
There is a display
Especially with drum brakes. For the same amount of money you can get any scooter with hydraulic disc brakes and they have regen breaking just like this
The Punk Rider Pro looks very similar to this scooter. I think they tried to copy them.
I'd love to see him review the Punk Rider Pro now that he reviewed the Apollo Pro.
All of these scooters look the same. It’s more so a trend than it is copying 😂
@jlewis631 The Pro came out in March 2023. The Punk Rider in February 2024. Imitation is the best type of flattery..
It is an infringement of the Apollo Pro! The CTO of Apollo confirmed that and the Punk Rider does not have any service locations or replacement parts as compared to the Apollo Pro so buy that cheap, Chinese copycat at your own risk!
@@chaxologist2024 Do you have a link to this? I'd be interested to read what they said.
