Watch the video all the way to the end... I have a question about ANOTHER Pinocchio movie.
“DO IT.”
- Chancellor Palpatine
You loved CATS, you will love Pinocchio: a True Story......PLEASE WATCH IT and REACT TO IT!!!
If I recall the other reviews it's definitely bizarre!
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE review the Pauley Shore movie. I have only seen clips (because I have a weak stomach), but it is horrifically spellbinding. You can't take your eyes (or ears) off it, as much as you urgently want to. I think it is on Prime Video, but costs 6.99USD.
Watch that other Pinocchio movie, it's so terrible.
Even Double Toasted did a review on it, and said that the film was not good.
I have all my faith in the Del Toro Netflix version. I've been following the production of that movie for so long, and the trailer shattered my expectations. The voice cast ALONE makes it something really special, but hearing about the story, the setting, seeing the visuals. December can't come fast enough.
Who doesn't have faith in that beautiful movie that for sure is going to have a sad, creepy, scary scene that will give me nightmares for a week
He does direct some good stuff. Like one example, Pans Labrynth
@@sarahtelles1957 This has also been a passion project of his.
Many bad movies have also had a lot of recognizable talent 😆 just wait and watch the movie
@@piusdoe8984 wow. Just wow. Have you seen his work
The crazy thing is that Disney's Pinocchio's won't have a theatrical release, but Netflix's Pinocchio will have a limited one so it can qualify for the Oscars. That inversion of the natural order of things seems like a bellwether of something.
I thought Netflix pinocchio will only release in Netflix.
@@nathaname1452 no if you look at the end of the trailer it says "In selected theaters November and Netflix December"
Si saldrá en cines, se acaba de confirmar.
Let's not forget the greatest version of pinocchio. The one with Pauly Shore. Definitely worth a Andre review.
And the Roberto Benigni 2020 movie…..
@@osmanyousif7849 wasn't that released on 2019 ?
Man 2022 is literally the year of Pinocchio.
What I heard, Guillermo del Toro wanted to directed the Disney's Pinocchio but his vision/version try to focus more the original book not just a remake of the original animated film, but for whatever reason Disney studios turn him down that was like years ago. So I'm kind of interesting to see his new movie on Netflix rather than watching Robert Zemeckis remake of Disney's Pinocchio.
Which stinks, because they missed out, but I guess I can also understand how attached they have gotten to their version, too
Yeah. I remember that. I was confused when I saw this because I thought Del Toro WAS doing Disney's new Pinocchio. Nevertheless, I could see how there could be creative differences, as the Disney company and Del Toro can be somewhat stubborn about their visions.
I hope that Robert Zemeckis brings his A-game in the Pinocchio reboot. I'm looking forward to that donkey transformation sequence.
And I have complete faith that Guillermo del Toro will knock out the park with his version of Pinocchio
about Robert Zemeckis, your optimisim may have been misplaced. but hey we are getting so many pinnochio movies that we may get a massive crossover event in the style of no way home sometime soon.
Excited for both. Loving the stop motion animation for Netflix's version, but also I admire how good the CGI for Pinocchio, and the Cat & Fox look.
I'm looking forward to the Del Toro version more. I've seen the Disney version, just animated, so the Del Toro one will be something new.
I need to see a higher-res version of the Disney version, because I think it's suffering from the same compression issues as the the first She Hulk trailer. Because Pinocchio looks like he's a Toy Story character in a world of real and photo-real VFX. I think the GDT version gets away with more because everything is stylistically animated, and they're not even animating on 1's.
Most excited about Guillermo’s version. Dude doesn’t miss!
If neither pinocchio says "Father, when I can learn to be on my own? I got the whole world to see" It's not worth watching.
If we don’t hear Tom Hanks say “You are a toy”, Disney lost an opportunity
They both look delightful in their own ways, and I'm a huge sucker for Deltoro and stop motion. So I'm going to see both for sure, and they could both be wonderful in their own ways. Also you should definitely watch the Polly Shore Pinocchio, it's Road Chipp x 100! Just make sure you get the right dub.
Disney's New Pinocchio film: Tom Hanks being Gipetto.
Del Toro's Pinocchio: Ewan McGreggor is now Pinocchio's Master.
Pauly Shore's Pinocchio: FRUITY!
This is like when Disney's Live Action Jungle Book was set to come out around the same time as the Andy Serkis directed adaptation.
I'm definitely more excited for Del Toro's version because I love stop-motion and Del Toro's style. Disney's live-action versions of their old films generally don't do anything for me. The only one I really liked was The Jungle Book.
Because The Jungle Book wasn't just bland rehash of original.
I'm excited for the GDT version. It looks amazing, and no matter how it goes. I'm just happy he finally got it made. It was announced a decade ago, and who knows how long he wanted to make it before that.
Watched the Pinocchio trailer, saw the Black Blue Fairy, and said "Uh oh". I think I'm gonna stay off the internet for awhile, cause we know what's coming...
I am so accustomed to WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR being used to promote the Disney theme parks that I forgot it was originally from Pinocchio. 🤦♂🤣
The videogame, _The Lies of P,_ is the most interesting one to me.
While I am a soft-sell regarding almost any Tom Hanks movie, I am definitely looking forward to the Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio. The animation style alone grabs my interest. Plus it is a PG-13 Pinocchio...by Guillermo Del Toro, I am in!
I doubt Guillermo Del Toro's adaptation would be PG-13
I will watch the Netflix version, it sounds really intriguing and potentially emotional, and Memo really has a really unique style.
I can't get excited for "another Disney remake "®, like they keep remaking their movies, and people go to watch them because they already like the original, and in some cases they give the same product but with CGI (like the lion king) or a worse product with a different story (Mulan)
That blue fairy from the Del Toro looks boss. I've personally never seen Pinnochio but I know the basics of the story.
“She gonna call The Deep from The Boys?”
OH MY GOD!! I didn’t expect to hear you bring up that character. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m excited for both but the Del Toro version is going to be the superior one. The original 1940 Disney classic is one of my favourites and from the looks of the new trailer, it looks surprisingly decent. Fingers crossed!🤞
Sadly, here's what's gonna happen: Disney's version will come first; because of this, Del Toro's version won't be rated very high. This happened with the movie "Mowgli" vs. the live action Jungle Book. Like, almost 100% of the reviews that gave Mowgli a low score basically boiled down to: "I saw Disney's Jungle Book remake first so, therefore, I don't like Mowgli". Despite Mowgli being a better movie. This is how flimsy our nostalgia-seeking audiences are. Del Toro's stop-motion tale deserves better than what I suspect it will receive. (I will be so thrilled to be wrong)
@@johnmcclatchy I don’t think Del Toro’s version will be rated low or forgotten but I do understand that mindset especially after The Jungle Book vs Mowgli situation. And you’re right in wanting to be wrong as the Disney remakes are never as good as the original but I hope that Pinocchio is at least decent.
@@johnmcclatchy haha you've come up with a lot of reasons for yourself for why ppl don't like what you like. Good for you.
Pinocchio is a weird story over all. The Disney version tamed it down, but if you go back to the original story, DANG, Pinocchio was BAD! And that was the point of the storh
@@johnmcclatchy have u even seen the disney live action jungle book, that movie was amazing, mowgli was meh, just because it come from a big company like disney, does not mean its bad
I want to see a Pinocchio movie with Will Ferrell as Geppetto
Remember the 90s live action Pinocchio featuring Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Martin Landau? I actually really liked that back then as a kid but now looking back, it’s pretty effed up. Still a good watch every once in a while.
No Matter How Scary The Donkey Transformation In These New Movies Are Going To Be There's No Way They Will Beat The Donkey Transformation Scene From The Adventures Of Pinocchio (1996) But I Bet Guillermo Del Toro' Version Will Be Neck And Neck With It Over The New Disney Version
So you're making assumptions without having seen the movies? Seems like nostalgia really blinded you.
@@djantouahmed7319 I'm Just Saying They Better Bring It If They Intend To Beat That One And Guillermo Del Toro Is Way WAY Better At Scaring People Then Disney. I Saw Both The Exorcist (1973) And The Adventures Of Pinocchio (1996) On The Same Day And To This Day I Would Still Say The Donkey Transformation Scene From The Adventures Of Pinocchio (1996) Is More Scarier Then The Entire Of The Exorcist (1973) Movie
It’s like the year when we had two different snow white movies.
I've pretty much never seen the original Disney one and it was still clear to me while watching the trailer for the remake that it's gonna be pretty much identical to it. Tom Hanks is gonna be 90% of how people justify its existence.
Me seeing that Pleasure Island is definitely going to be a decent part of the new Disney movie, and seeing the carriage being pulled by donkeys: Uh-oh.
You never fail to make me laugh. That fish giving eyes, maybe we should call The Deep got me 💀
I'm so excited for the Del Toro version.
Everything gets better with Del Toro's touch
My guy created Trollhunters and the book of life man's a certified legend
3:10 the scene with the jackasses traumatized me as a kid. I’m dreading seeing it in live action.
Amazed that the best Pinocchio project that's going to happen in the next two years is Lies Of P.
A lot of people are not thrilled about the Disney Live Action Pinocchio movie and I'm one of them
Both look good. Both with good directors. But if I could only choose one. I'm going Del Toro.
Stromboli threw him like Tom Brady throwing a football! 🤣 Everything in the Disney plus live action looks awesome & amazing!
Del Toro version headed right for that Oscars nomination
Talking animals? Will Robbin Hood live action be next? 🤔
Oh thank God, I thought Pinocchio was going to be a live action person instead of CGI. I remember seeing the version played by Jonathan Taylor Thomas, that was nightmare fuel.
The first live action Pinocchio is WILD!
Duuuuuuuuude you have got to see the Pauley Shore version, it's wild bro!
Also if you can find it there's also an Italian version that came out in like 2019 I think and it's good adaption.
I'm going to end up doing a giant Pinocchio marathon next month lol.
Pinocchio multiverse? I'm down.
That 3rd Pinocchio movie is a masterpiece, highly recommend you to watch and review it!
Have you ever seen the 1996 Pinocchio with Jonathan Taylor Thomas. It’s actually really good and very underrated
I remember that one! He sneezed up sawdust in the classroom. Had a very big crush on JTT growing up so I watched it multiple times. 😅 (and the Tom and Huck film)
@@reizak8966 me too. Yea it’s pretty dark. The puppetry is really good
I love that version. And the jackass transformation scene is even more traumatizing lol 🤣
Amazing video black nerd comedy reacting to the two Pinocchio trailers from Disney and Netflix ones too also one of the best reacting to trailers ever, fantastic job.
The Jackass scene is legit why I stayed away from cigarettes.
Something about how closely Disney stuck to their original cartoon Pinocchio design for this is making him fall straight into the uncanny valley for me.
So from the looks of it... Pinocchio is the euro-american Astro Boy, down to his eyes xD
When “when you wish upon a star” I literally started crying 😂 I don’t even like the OG Disney version bc it is mad weird. This looks pretty close to it but I can’t say no to Tom Hanks 😆
The music is how they get you with that Disney magic! They got me with the music in the live-action Mulan trailer, but fool me once...
The Disney one looks better than I expected, but at the end of the day, it's still just another Disney live-action remake.
I always like stop-motion animation. Without that Disney sugar-coating, the Guillermo del Toro one looks a lot more interesting.
I wanna see both honestly. I'm willing to give the remake a shot and would LOVE to see Del Toro's take on it.
I'm only excited about Del Toro's version, Disney's remake only made me want to watch the original. Great reaction to both trailers though.
4:20 Never in my life did I think I'd hear Andre singing AKB48. 🤣🤣🤣
I never knew that song was from AKB48
@@hideofreakingkojima5457 Oh, yeah! I dunno if that was the version he was singing (I think another artist made an English cover of it), but the song itself from the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack was sung by AKB48!
@@AyoBlakesterTV It's so weird how I never realized that since AKB48 was everywhere from Variety TV to people at my church talking about the group. Also I remember someone jokingly called them Akanbe48.
Correction there are THREE pinnochio movies that came out in 2022 back in February of this year lionsgate released the film pinnochio a true story with Pauly shore as the title character
...And there was even ANOTHER Pinocchio movie that came out a couple of years ago. Why so many adaptations in such a short time?
I am way more excited for the Del Toro version, it looks so enchanting
This kinda reminds me of the time they made TWO Snow White movies at the same time.
🤨 Officially weird. Thank you Andre for calling it out!
Holy moly that Pauly Shore voiceover 🤣🤣🤣
its weird cuz there is also a game based on the story being made, called "lies of P". well the story wont be close but it kinda the same idea and characters
Fun fact. Monstro gave me nightmares for years. Decades maybe. It was maybe the first (probably only) time a movie "monster" legitimately scared me.
Technically there has been like 3 Pinocchio movies this year, the 3rd one being the one with Paulie Shore.
That's a good point. Is there an anniversary or something to the original book I'm not aware of?
@@Kahtisemo could be
The best Pinocchio I have seen is still the 1970’s animation, The Adventures of Pinocchio”. There’s an English dub version since it was originally released in Italy. That one has so far been the closes version of the original stories I have seen.
Disney Live Action Pinocchio: Uncanny Valley Puppet.
Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio: Actually easy on the eyes!
Agreed! The music sounds very nostalgic, but there's just something off about the cg model that makes me uncomfortable. I think they should've gone a little more stylized with the live action design but kept certain elements the same.
"Probably gonna get a copyright claim"
*plays song even louder*
Hah! Love you Andre!
The new Pinocchio movie from Disney looks really exciting, especially with the CG model of Pinocchio himself. I cannot wait to watch it! 😊🙌🏾
It looks like cg mixed with actual ventriloquism or maybe it’s made to look like that
I agree
Everything in there is CGI. Nothing is real, the setting, the strings to the puppet aren't either.
Panocio is now my sleep paralysis demon
I came to this video for the reaction and excellent comedy, I rewatched it for the word "Pooh-ness" thanks for brightening up my day Andre :)
Would love to see your full reviews of these movies! I don't think your goodwill towards the first film won't last long, LOL.
Del Toro. I've seen this pattern by Disney before. They seduce you with the Nostalgice Music, promising an epic take on a classic, then it turns out to be a soulless rehash. Lion King is the biggest offender imho. Guillermo Del Toro is my favorite director right now, so maybe I AM a bit biased, but the netflix version seems to actually have a soul behind it.
Del Toro's Pinocchio looks like James and the Giant Peach if you ever seen that movie
We don't talk about pinocchio a true story
I am so happy andre is BACK.
For that last Pinocchio movie it's giving me "9 Lives" fun vibes. Please do a review!!!
I just want the wee one’s production of Pinocchio, starring Joey tribbiani.
in Del Toro's defense, he's been trying to get this film made before Disney's version.
I'm the most excited for the del Toro version because not only does the animation look beautiful but it looks like it has an actual vision to it and go in it's own direction rather than rehashing like the Disney version.
I feel the same, bro!
I'm personally VERY excited about the Del Toro movie, because that interpretation looks very beautiful and heartfelt as well as unusual, I love stop motion, and Guillermo del Toro is one of my favorite directors.
As for the Disney version, I've just grown so weary of their live action remakes, so it's hard for me to not be cynical about it. That said, nothing about it that I've seen SO FAR makes it look bad, per se. Though then again I have been burned by trailers before. I might give it a watch, but I'm not terribly enthusiastic about it.
Between the live action Disney Pinocchio & Netflix’s Pinocchio, I think they will be the best films based on the original story of Pinocchio.❤️
I think the Matteo Garrone version from 2019 is a contender.
Same thing happened with Jungle Book, the Disney Jon Favreau vs the Netflix Andy Serkis
This live-action Disney remake is unique compared to the others that I have seen before.
*I was sold as soon as "When you wish upon a star" started.*
Del Toro's Gepetto: "Sees Pinocchio ... hello there!"
You have a cartoon laugh, my man and I’m loving it.
3:32 Andre, you didn’t have to go there. 😂
4:46 I actually haven’t seen the original Pinocchio movie yet, making it necessary for me to watch that one before the live-action remake.
You should see Disney’s animated version, it is a trip! It is a good movie though. I am partial to The Jungle Book myself, but I have also read the book and seen many other versions, and while they are all good, Disney’s is my favorite for Baloo and Bagheria alone 😆
There's actually a fourth animated Pinocchio movie that released this year called Pinocchio and the Water of Life. It has Tom Kenny as Pinocchio.
Huh?
GDT version looks and seems superior tbh. I'll watch both to determine that ofc, but it's looking like it so far.
Especially BECAUSE IT IS ANIMATED. If it ain't broke, don't fix it; the original worked amazingly in animated format, why can't a remake?
The duality of Pinocchio.
I feel like Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio is probably closer to the book than the Disney version 🤔 so I really wanna see that one.
"It's a thong!" Nearly 20 years now (!) and that's still the first thing I think of 😄
What do I think of the 2021 version? Drew Carey should've voiced Geppetto. That's what I think of it.
Del Toro's looks promising and I'll definitely check it out, but it'll be with reserved expectations because not everything he touches is gold as far as I'm concerned. I really want it to be one that I'll want to watch again now and then.
As far as Disney remakes, I actually enjoyed the live action _Pete's Dragon_ and _Jungle Book_ (although coulda done without King Louie's song), don't see the point of _Lion King_ and _Beauty and the Beast,_ just haven't cared about any others. I gotta say though this one does interest me, but Andre really sells it. I'm so hyped and I don't even know why! 😄
Disney's looks to be a charming bit of nostalgia with a modern shine of cgi.
Del Toro's looks like it came out of Laika and gives me the impression I'm gonna cry by the end or start of it.
You are the most entertaining and fun loving guy on UA-cam and I hope you never stop. You rock Andre!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💯 Also, I’m partial to the Disney+ version. I enjoy animation integrated with live action filmmaking.
Del toro has been making his for like ten years , so I am very excited for his version
Glad I'm not the only one who was traumatized by Pinocchio as a kid. 😂 My money is on the Guillermo del Toro version, it'll probably be less creepy.
Its crazy, Ive hear wish upon a star so many time in life that I completely forgot where it came from
I've lost track of the amount of live action Pinocchio films that have been made over the years lol
Between These two movies and the Lies of P game Pinocchio bout to be part of pop culture heavy af again 😂😭🤣
Are we going to forget about the Pinocchio Live action 1996
