As a kid I successfully evaded a group of child traffickers. True story. I was living in St. Paul Minnesota at the time. My school let out at 2:30pm. I got off the school bus while still at school due to a conflict with another student. I lived only 20 minutes away walking from my school, it took my 6 hours to make it home. I noticed a van slowly approaching from behind, I turned seeing the back door slide open and two men jump out starting to run at me. I quickly jumped a fenced and run into an alleyway I heard the guys yell “quick go around the block to alley!”
The tires squealed as the driver quickly accelerated. I seen the van stop at the end of the alleyway. I turned around to run the other way and one of the men was walking towards me “it’s okay, we’re just going to get you to a safe place. DON’T RUN!” I then ran back to the yard I came out of and jump into the neighboring yard ram back to the street. Thinking I lost them, I continued walking towards home. Then I saw him the second guy standing at the end of the block staring at me while on a cellphone. He shouted “come here son, your mother has been worried sick!” There were other people around at this point. I quickly dipped into a book store, and hung out until the owner kicked me out thinking I was stealing. I ran out fear, the vans had returned following close behind. By this point it was around 6pm the street lights had come on and the van was getting closer. By the time I realized I ran seven blocks in the opposite direction of my house and was in a neighborhood I didn’t know, i felt true panic. The back door slid open with extreme force with a loud bang. I immediately ran not caring where I was heading as long as it was away from these men. I finally got back to an area that I knew when I saw my older brother’s favorite anime and gaming store. That shop was 3 blocks from home, I’m almost there my hearts pounding so hard I can feel it in my throat and toes. The van was still tailing me and the other van was paralleling on the next street over. I ran to my neighbors house from the alleyway behind my house, pounding on the back door. At 7:45ish mr. & mrs. Norway a nice family with an adopted son opened the door. They asked “is everything alright? your mother was just over here looking for you.” I tried to explain what was happening as much as a seven year old could. They brought me inside, Mr. Norway went upstairs to grab his sidearm being a narcotics detective, he knew what I was talking about. He called down to me “come up here fast!”
I ran up the stairs with Mrs. Norway. We went to there bedroom to look out the back window. There was both the vans with multiple men and women staring at the house. I confirmed those were the people chasing me. He called his SGT. within 5 minutes swat units were staging and ready to move in. Suddenly a a helicopter flew overhead and put a spotlight on the traffickers. Swat moved in for the arrest. Mr. Norway went out back and help with the following procedures as Mrs. Norway took her son and me next door to my house, where my family was already in the backyard watching wondering what was happening. My mom was terrified when police explained the whole situation. In the following days my mom was notified that I was targeted by a group of child sex traffickers and their plan was to send me to Russia.
I only survived that because my mother warned me from a very young age to always be alert and pay attention to the dangers of others. Unfortunately I wasn’t the only kid in my neighborhood that was targeted. I noticed over the next couple years kids would disappear, the families would still be around but something had changed in them. At the time I didn’t know what was happening to all these kids. The movie Sound of Freedom is very real and I was almost a victim of those horrible acts.
I’m not sharing this to get sympathy, I’m sharing to inform of the real dangers in the world that so many are trying to deny.

Thank you for being the first to comment on this tales age... Joe said they wrote it in the 1940's. It was actually published in 1881 as the first , much sadder version, and 1883 for the version known today.
Pinocchio might be one of the most important children’s films ever made. It is arguably core to building a child’s code of ethics and self-awareness.

When I was a child, I never liked the movie Pinocchio. There was just something about it, that didn't sit well with me. Now that I'm an adult with an understanding of human trafficking, I know why. The fact that Disney puts in subliminal messages to its adolescent audience is just sick. I also believe it's a way to mock parents. For Disney not wanting the Sound Of Freedom to come out, speaks volumes. If you ever questioned what team Disney is on, now you know. Stay vigilant!

Just because a movie has dark and creepy elements in it, doesn’t make it a bad film. In this scene, the villain is talking about his diabolical plan, which is why the scene is supposed to be creepy. There’s lighthearted moments in the movie and also the movie is only that way because the original fairytale is that way. In fact, the original book is way darker than the movie.
In Pinocchio, EVERY main character has a weird obsession with young boys aside from Jiminy Cricket (J.C.) as the good conscience innocent figure. The fox, stromboli, pleasure island, and Gyp-pedo. The crossroads towards evil is shown through temptations of every immediate delight, of promises that prove empty, and villains that tell alot more than just fantasy or fairytale.

Geppetto is a lonely man who always wanted a son, which he wished from the wishing star to make Pinocchio alive with the help of the blue fairy.
The Fox and Cat want to sell Pinocchio to Stromboli for cash; which they did.
Stromboli wants to make money out of Pinocchio’s talent’s because he’s the only living puppet with a mind of his own. But Pinocchio refuses thus why he locks him up in a cage.
The Coachman wants to turn all of he boys from the village, including Pinocchio to turn them into donkeys for labor work.
Now the reason why it’s only boys that are invited to Pleasure Islsnd and not girls, I don’t know to be honest. But I have a feeling it’s because little boys are seen more as trouble makers and girls not as much and are seen are more petite.
I honestly have no idea to what Walt Disney really was like outside of his empire.

In all my life, I have never heard a kid, including myself, ever consider Pinocchio their favorite Disney movie. Interestingly, RKO released it.
I took a children's lit course in Uni. The original stories by the original authors. It's incredible how many of them were really about the perversion of love, abuse, and sexual content. Keep in mind, these were also largely cautionary tales meant to teach about the evils of man. And all of the classics have these themes.!

I bought the Pinocchio in the early 90s for my son and I was actually chocked by the evil things that was depicted and the film. Got me thinking about kidnapping and doing bad things to little boys, and that before I had heard much of those things.

I saw that show as a kid and took it at face value, seeing it through the lens of innocent naivety. Now as a parent, I am horrified of the reality that cartoon presents to people who pay attention to the current events of the world. There is a reason why Tom Hanks took citizenship at Greece, why Krissy Teigen deleted her tweets, why Jim Carey is threatening to sue if that plane manifest is released, and why Epstein was conveniently ended! It is not a coincident of these actions happening. what is Jim Carey's plane manifest?
There’s a couple things I’m surprised to not see mentioned (perhaps it has and I missed it). Child abduction and abuse for sexual pleasure used to be a lot more common than people realize. The song Big Rock Candy Mountain was originally a hobo song about luring runaway kids in order to have sex with them. The promises of the Big Rock Candy Mountain were the enticements to land a boy companion to keep you company and have sex with. (There’s actually a name for these boys that I can’t remember right now). There’s some other old tunes with similar origins.
Additionally, at about the time Pinocchio came out (roughly) Aleister Crowley was around his peak in influence. One of the tenets of Crowleys religion called Thelema (Jay-Z & Beyoncé’s spiritual belief) was that the way to gain what you want in the universe was to open yourself up and the best way was through sexual liberation and experimentation. This might not sound so crazy until you realize that he preached that the best practice you could engage, in order to get the universe to bend to your will, was sex with young boys. In one of his books he comments how he himself has had hundreds of boys. People attacked him thinking he meant that he had ritually sacrificed them, but it was explained that they were sexually sacrificed in order for Crowley to better hear from the demons he served. Somehow people have found that to be an acceptable explanation.
Crowley had a commune/abbey in Italy where ANYTHING sexual went. It was very possibly the inspiration for pleasure Island in this scene, given that Crowley was huge in print media and then in the celebrity world as pictures got bigger.
Point being that this scene probably had a lot of contemporary context people at the time picked up on, and now today we’re seeing the relation because the sick practice has carried on.

Other things to take into account. The original story for Pinocchio was published in 1883. Disney took 2 years to make the cartoon movie that was published in 1940, meaning they started it/wrote the adaptation in 1938. The MPAA didn't exist and start rating movies until 1968. Everything before that just had to meet "production code standards." (This is why in old sitcoms from the 50's there are two twin beds in the bedroom. You could IMPLY sex, but not show anything directly correlated).
Pinocchio was never made FOR CHILDREN. Disney's business then was ENTERTAINMENT, now they sell NOSTALGIA. The two are different. Their excuse for what happens in this scene is them trying to sweep it under the rug but the implications were clear and were there because this movie was made for an adult audience. The MPAA in '68 is ehat decided animation was for children and just auto-assigned a G rating to all animated films that came before them.
I remember watching this as a kid, and it always freaked me out… but now that I’m almost 40, it both freaks me out and pisses me off. Enough is enough

I remember bringing that subject up a long time ago at Disneyland when I was about 17 and an older man got mad at me saying I was a crazy pervert with a dirty mind. It was because I not only brought up this scene but Geppetto lost his wife and all he wanted later on was a little boy, and somehow his name was slightly similar to pedophile, than came up with that conclusion about stealing little boys that become donkeys and sent to a place called pleasure island where they become slaves. Donkey's which coincidentally has a well known 3 letter nickname. Jim Bruer may have been off about what they were depicting in Pinocchio, but I know an old reference to rich people praying on children. I've never seen the Godfather, but I read the book. It was written in 1969 and there is a disturbing scene in it that I don't know if it's in the movie or not. So Johnny Fontaine is losing his voicw and can't sing as well. He decides to try to get into the movies. He goes to talk to a studio president and Tommy Hagen goes with him. Tommy notices a little girl waiting to audition and the mother is giving him dirty looks. The studio president tells Johnny he wants to speak to him some more at a party at his house tonight. The studio president's house is on an island and they have to take a helicoptor to get there. While they are there Tommy is by himself. He sees the same little girl walking out of someone's room with her mother and the little girl has tears in her eyes and is walking funny. Tommy makes a mental note of this and says, "Hollywood is a sick place. I don't know why Johnny wants to deal with these people so badly." Even way back then rich people were messing with kids. It's sick.

@@chef2542 Only if the country was willing to expedite him, but you should know that there are more countries without laws about this topic, than there are with laws. My buddy was going to school to bust pedos, and in the book it showed all the countries with and without laws on the topic, and it chilled me to the bone.
I LOVE Breuer, he is SUPER BASED and knows what's going on with the Pedo Shit in Hollywood because he's seen it himself.
