"She's the prettiest girl I've seen" and then say the same thing if he sees another pretty girl. "That's the cutest thing i've ever seen", "The most amazing...", "The scariest...", "The worst...", "The most horrifying...", "The most precious...", "The funniest..." and so on. It's a never ending cycle, so don't be surprised.

it's all staged as fuck, and only 22 of the 105 restaurants he tried to save are still open. Pretty much every episode followed the same format. Gordon arrives, tastes bad food, argues with a stubborn owner, finds a shitty kitchen, revamps everything, a reopening that almost goes wrong, then finally a happy ending.
I love how we have at least 2 very different individuals on this account, this person who posts the more professional, normal corporate UA-cam videos, and then the other dude is just straight up wildin 💀💀

The story of Mojito's is possibly one of my favorite, you can see that they care about the restaurant but just couldn't get it together because of debt but when gordon came in they were very open to changes and takes gordon's criticism to heart and improve. They really turned it around and I'm happy to see that both of them are smiling about after everything they went through.

Sharyn wasn't a waitress, she was the pastry chef. She already had started her own baking company prior to the episode filming (you can actually see her wearing a polo with the name of her company on it in the beginning of the episode) and she left Bazzini's to focus on it full-time. She even says in the episode she isn't a waitress, like???
i think they said that because in the original episode, gordon wanted her to be pastry chef and waitress at bazzini's. so she did technically work as a waitress, but not until gordon was doing his relaunch of bazzini's
I love seeing Sharon doing well with her own bakery business. I hope she's managed alright through the pandemic.

Sharyn is an absolute gem. She is the kind of person you only ever meet once in your life. Any employer who does bot appreciate her, is f1cking things up. So happy she managed to open her own place and a quick search revealed that she is still operating in September 2021. I live in Namibia, Africa but if ever I go to Jersey, Sharyn’s bakery will be a must visit!

I love how they still aired Bazzini’s episode even though the restaurant ended up closing down because it really shows that Gordon can only do so much to support these failing restaurants but in the end its really up to the owners on whether they can get their shit together and manage it

They reminded me so much of my grandparents. My grandad was this cheerful outgoing guy and my grandma was so sour and miserable.
Come to find out, my grandma had a HORRIBLE life. I’m not gonna bum everyone out, but she basically never had a say in anything that happened to her. Just horrific stuff and it was basically her ENTIRE life. I believe grandpa did love her, but he was running around on her the whole time too.
If Adele has had a similar situation, it would explain why she needed to be in control of something and why just burning the alligator was so devastating because it was HERS.
Not excusing, to be clear. I never forgave grams for how she treated my mother who spent her whole adulthood trying to get her mom to love her, but I’m just playing armchair psychologist and wondering what made Adele the way she is.

I think the difference is that for gordon, his anger doesnt reach over to the time in between service, while adele was mean to the staff from when theyre clocking in to when theyre out. My mum is actually a professional chef and her mentor was also her friend and outside of school and training, they hang out and are nice to each other, but my mum said that he has thrown things, yelled, and sworn during service. The thing is is that thats how head chefs are. And the people in service like the chefs and waiters do understand that thats how they are during service as the head chefs are the only one holding the ship together. You can see the difference with adele and gordon by the fact that gordon is very nice and understanding outside of the kitchen, he even helps those who deserve it. Adele was stubborn and tried to make it a dictatorship. Sorry for long reply, btw.

21:41 Usually whenever shows like this plays dramatic music, when pointing a camera at someone I think they are being a bit overly dramatic. However, Adele deserves her very own boss music whenever she is in a shot.
Now we can see what he has done and how he inspired some people in his life! He is a good man for that and I really appreciate it. His tv shows were and still are awesome and lot of people knows about it in some ways. But there are some good cooks from Gordon 👏👏
This episode highlighted how different people can be when times are good vs when times are bad. Adele, for example, was very much still the same old stubborn lady, but her wit came across as charming humor after her business was doing well, vs being used for constant cynicism when it wasn’t.

I left home when I was 14 I'm 49 my brother 46 still lives with my mother. Ever since my wife passed away I MISS cooking for her. I guess it helps my ego to get compliments and I don't feel the drive to cook for myself so I eat microwaved, cold and fried foods. I can't believe a place would close after having Gordon give the tools menu needed to succeed it's so mind-boggling. I've been thinking about trying to find one of those mobile BBQ kitchens and finding a source of fresh food. I'm certain I could make some decent coin during the summer with the right menu, and good inexpensive foods on the go. I would love to cook for people again I do truly miss it.
