- An American Assembled chronograph watch from Long Island Watches, the BethPage ISL-201 may be one of the best watches under $400. High contrast, great legibility, makes this affordable men's quartz watch, (Amerigraph) one to consider. This Watch Review looks at the pros and cons.

Great watch, love particularly the transparent exhibition case back on a quartz!
Excellent review, as usual!
And I’m sorry in case my comment with another user name was deemed as inappropriate …
Love your channel!
Hello LIS. Thanks for watching. I’m seeing numerous people liking the exhibition case back. I didn’t expect that. Always great to see people’s comments and hear what others think.
FYI, black Friday sale prices on these are still in effect , I
just picked up the ISL 201 shown here for 215.00 today (12/29)
The silver dial is 255 and the black pvd full lume dial was 295 but out of stock.
Another great review Eric. I really like this watch and Islander as a brand (more please) and the negatives/flaws you made were all valid. What a great idea to show the quartz movement. The watch looks much better in the outdoor shots to me. I don't have a chrono, but I will get one sometime, at the moment looking at the Casio models with solar and waveceptor that are around the same price or a little cheaper. But this model makes a case for itself with that display back and wonderful bracelet, something Casio are usually guilty of not being very good, and for $300 or there about we all expect much better than at $150. I am so pleased that you focus on more affordable watches.
Hi paulkennedy6386. Islander is not the cheapest option out there but I really like what they are doing and for a micro brands think they offer a lot of value for the dollar. Thanks for watching.
Just bought the black dial for $205.
Great thorough review 👍. I hope display backs on quartz become more common, it would stop them fitting those terrible tiny plastic movements that must be so disappointing for the owner who changes their battery.
Very good point, dunderhay9169. I didn’t of that. That would definitely be a plus.
I would love this watch….like Baltany, do they make a Tri-compax version with a 12 hour totalizer? Think VK-67. The second a brand gas lights me with the bs “24 hr” dial I bail out. Those “fashion dials” are for decorative purposes only. I WILL NEVER buy a watch with the mind numbingly stupid 24 hr. dial. Fine review Sir. Thanks (PS It’s the 24 hour thingy I hate. Mark is a Pilot. I’ve purchased multiple watches from him so I am hopeful :-)
I agree completely, the 24 hour dial is useless when slaved to the hour hand, if they made it adjustable it could bea useful second time zone, but they never do 😞
Hello Jazzman5598. I don’t know what the limitations are / were when they designed this watch. I’m assuming once they went with the American assembled ameriquartz movement they had to have the 24 dial. I like the fact it’s assembled in the US - don’t love the 24 hour subdial
You do know there are many American micro brands that build them right here in the USA. They are high end too.
Hello Matthew-wn8oq. I’m just recently learning and discovering more about micro brands. Which ones are you most interested in? I focus mainly on affordable watches and one of the things I like about this movement, besides price, is it’s not limited to a specific brand. Hopefully American made movements will make its way into more and more affordable brands. Thanks for watching my video. I appreciate it.
@@EricsEverydayWatches I am a big fan of DuFrane. The owner Steven is a great guy , always there for his customers and super passionate about his designs. I have a few of his watches and wouldn't trade them for anything. There are more really good American micro brands but I'm stuck on DuFrane 😁
@@Matthew-wn8oq looks really interesting. I’ll have to read more about them. Now that I have an eye out for micro brands, it seems like there is one or two new ones per day (or at least me to me).
Thorough review. Great watch. I love it. I believe one of them is full lume, no?
Hello mitchmatic8029. Yes, the black pvd coated watch has a full lume dial! I didn’t have that one in for review which is why I didn’t show it. But that would be something to see for sure.
Great review!
Thank you Jason-hv4eu. I really appreciate you saying that.
Que hermosas tomas de los relojes, ya me suscribi, Muchas Gracias
Hola JoseRojas-ed5sk. Mucho gracias. 😁
I like both colors
Hi billsomerset238. Me too and I didn’t expect that before I got them in for review. I fully expected to prefer the black dial version but they are both really nice in person.
