This is the best guide available on UA-cam on how to get up and running with the Quest Games Optimizer!! Thanks!! The first game I tried it with was Pistol Whip, which is probably my favorite VR game. I have this one on PCVR too as I was very disappointed with the visual quality on the standalone Quest version. The QGO makes the Quest version of Pistol Whip look just as good as the PCVR version. That alone made it worth it to me. Can't wait to try it with other Quest games.
Wow!! thanks for your very thorough and concise tutorial. I bought the Optimizer this evening, and managed to successfully install it following your instructions. I thought I was inpressed with my Quest 3 initially, but now I'm simply blown away by the improvements in graphics and overall performance!! Something I have discovered, which I was not expecting is, it seems to have cured my 'motion sickness' issues as well. It's an all round win win, and well worth the money in my view.
@reality-rise I like the fact they come ready optimized, but still gives you the option to tweek a few things here and there if you wish, although I think the pre optimized settings are pretty bang on frankly. The Quest really comes into its own with the Optimiser and is really noticeable in some games more than others. I went from mildly wowed in Asgard's Wrath to open mouthed WOWED!!!!!
I finally got up my courage and did this over the weekend. I tested it on a bunch of games in my library and I will say it is a MAJOR upgrade for a lot of them. Others, you might have to tinker with a little to get the framerates and resolution balance right where you like them. You will still get some solid improvement, but having the option is awesome. I did run into a few issues, and I wanted to comment to help the other non-techy folks who might try this. On the Red Banner step, you HAVE to have the code in another window, you can't just click off the code screen and back to the Optimizer. To do that, I had the settings window with the code open and I dragged it over to the left into its own area and then opened the Optimizer again. It was mentioned in this video but I didn't get how to do it. Might seem dumb to some, but it took me way too long to figure that out.
@frozenninja4030 Hey man awesome to hear that everything worked out! My video cutout in the middle so I had to make a seperate recording. Perhaps thats why the video feels a bit disconnected from the proces (I should've pointed that out too).
@@reality-rise No worries! Your video was SUPER helpful. I can honestly say I wouldn't have even attempted it without your vid, but I am very glad I did. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. It worked fine, it got a little complicated in the code part, but doing what a colleague says below, it can be fixed. I recommend that you follow the UA-cam tutorial for that part, which can be seen with the TUTORIAL button in the green letters above the code. Be careful that once you get stuck in the code, when you manage to put the two windows together, you enter the new code and it could tell you that it is incorrect, that is because you need to close and redo the process, so that a window appears in which you have to click on allow.
Hey i just wanted to let you know thers options like that on the standalone side quest app for free although you only have simpler options like 120 or 90 hz instead of every step in between and no profiles just maybe for people that dont actualy have the money but want to also access those options (no pc needed)

The profiles will be remembered but you have to start the app once. I believe there are options to auto start the app with the given profile directly from your Quest library or either the app itself.
@reality-rise I enter mobile vr station after purchasing the product. I've downloaded it and it is in the download file. When I click the button in the top right corner of the file instead of downloading onto my headset like it did in the video, it says 'no app can perform this action'.

When I go to install minecraft it only gives me the buy option because the application has no way for me to log in my account. The application also doesn't recognize the meta quest 3 as a device.
Seems like an awesome upgrade. I've thought about doing this, but I am not super tech savvy. I am worried that I might mess something up with the headset that I might not be able to fix. Also, would doing this void your warranty or somehow go against terms of service?
I can not advise you to do anything. It's all up to yourself, but unless you touch/mess with other internal files, doing it this way is pretty safe. It's like installing an app on your phone (which is the apk file).
I followed your instructions, exactly, but I still get noticed that my headset is not in developer mode, despite clicking on the build number, and it saying I am in developer mode. I have rebooted the headset numerous times and even tried to change the setting in the app. Ideas? thanks.
It should definitely switch to developer mode. You just have to keep clicking the build number, and the notification countdown will popup. Maybe you're leaving large gaps between each click? It should work my man.
Thx. It says "You are already in DV" when I click on it. Still a red banner (different than the other one) says "not in DV". But no matter, it's working! Thx again.
@@jonathantrunz4482 I see, it means you are already a developer. You can just follow the tutorial onward from there. Otherwise I would just try to reinstall the application and try it again, see if that works.
