- Finally a long video lets go
I was bored and decided to try this mod out. It's pretty fun! It's like i finally felt defenseless in this game again. Also it's really cute
Please tell me if you would want more of this. Editing is hard even more for me so it would be good to know if somebody even watches this
Also if you haven't already go play Rain World. it's really fun and enjoyable

basically that question that goes like "would u go back to when u were like 5 years old if u kept all the memories and knowledge that u have today"
Suvivor said “yes, fucking yes”

But survivor forgot, he lacked the most important thing...
Family.
For me i would be a 5 year old german who speaks fluent englich😂

This is something I've always wondered about because in the intro cutscene Survivor and Monk are clearly Slugpups, or at least younger, but in game they're adults
I don't know lore-wise, but it makes sense to me that a significant amount of time passed since the end of the cutscene and the start of the game. Because it also doesn't make sense why Monk followed Survivor down the drain at most like a minute apart and yet they are separated chronologically so far since you can never meet in the game world despite starting the game in the exact same spot.
@@bibliobeebo2927 for Monk I always assumed it was a "You just missed them!" Thing, but the game doesn't exactly convey that there's been a progression of time between the cutscene and gameplay
My guess is that they spent the remainder of time between the opening cutscene and gameplay in that place between the Outer Expanse - Outskirts gate and the surv/monk spawn point we see in Spearmaster's campaign.
It has plenty of food and not a single predator, so it'd make sense for them to not want to leave the place. Then, once they reached adulthood, they most likely wandered around until finding the exit (and point of no return) that we know as their spawn point.
It still doesn't answer how they didn't stumble into each other at any point, especially seeing how Monk went after Surv almost immediately in that same cutscene. Monk's campaign can't realistically be happening any more later than a few cycles after Surv's, which also raises a few questions as to how fast Pebbles is rotting? Just compare his can between campaigns... but I digress.
@nomihabo9752 rotting is exponential, like cancer at later stages. Spearmaster and artificer were in the beggining of the rot process, hunter got into post-flush times, where 5P delayed progress, after this rot is in the middle of progress, with monk having pre-Rivulet state of decay.
@@calluxdoaron1903 Yeah. What I'm getting at is that the speed of the rotting process has to be incredibly fast, for the (presumably) short time it has to advance between Surv's n Monk's campaigns. A lot of changes happened in what's probably less than a handful cycles, don't you think?
Artificer's Law of Platforming: every problem is just a question of if you have enough spears.
Well, except for the damn weird shoreline entrances
Look, kids! This happens when a tiny baby slugcat is lost. Do not get lost, kittens, and listen to your mom!
Or if you really wanna see the world, wait untill you are a teenage cat WHO CAN HOLD TWO ITEMS AT THE SAME TIME!
I remember I tried to beat Spearmasters campaign as a Slupup in honor of my Pup from my Saint Playthrough.
I didn't get past the first room.
Wdym the first room
@@croissantsareaustrianactually the room with the pillars that you need the spears for, i was playing as a normal pup without spearmasters infinite spears and i couldn't get any distance to get to the other pillars
@@amisharme744 Ah that makes sense
If you manage to bring a neuron to Moon it would be so epic
I will it will be fun(painful)
Pup artificer wants a word with you on that.
@@teynryn831 pup artificer is so fun!
Lol I almost forgot how serene starting locations are, especially with normal difficulty scaling and enemies. Had been playing on Artificer for some time now, and there is NO CHILL at all
at around 14:45 the reason one of the jetfish died is because they attack each other by ramming into each other, this is especially evident with the healthbars mod.
the other jetfish likely only had a sliver of health left
Idea: as a slugpup, jump down the hole in Outer Expanse leading to Outskirts, then trying to survive in that section while each successful cycle increasing the player model size, eventually switching out a big slugpup for a small slugcat, until at last you are as big as default Survivor, and finally going to the tutorial area. Thus reenacting the timeskip between the intro and game start.
logically accurate survivor/monk campaign
Playable Survivor backstory when /j
Moon: Gibberish
Iggy: Get more neurons
Slugpup: Hav porl
Good luck with the Wall 😅
I like how tiny they are
they are just a little bean
Decided to do this challenge too... Found another slugpup the moment I got to Industrial Complex and it has been accompanying me ever since
Best friends till the end
I actually wondered how would the pups work if I was one
@@byugnukem they work pretty much the same way as they would if you were playing as a normal slugcat.
The downside is you cannot use items when you're holding the slugpup which can lead to a lot of dying
@@plebasaurus2970 spoiler for the next episode, but I found a slugpup while going through pipeyard. They do work the same, but unfortunately I needed to enable piggybacking for the pups in the mod menu, because I had a neuron already occupying my hand
@@byugnukem beat the game with your new bro
@@plebasaurus2970 I will
the first time we play, we are all slugpups.
So true
Only a couple deaths? If I tried this I know for a fact that I'd get at least into the double digits.
thats basically what i thought the game would be after watching the first intro
Can’t believe I never saw the slugcat on the top right at 0:46
Would watch your walkthrough of this. Really cool mod.
You can actually make yourself a pup without mods now.
@@SilverStrawjolly coop pups are capable of doing anything adult slugcat players can, so it's not the same
@@ladno1342 the jolly coop slugpups still have some losses, their speed (probably) and jump distance/height are still lower than adults (that jump on your way to pebbles is especially bad as a pup)
I wish I could make a mod
A mod that makes it so that anything throwable does more damage
If one repeatedly throws rocks or bubble fruit at a slugpup it will slowly be stunned for longer, will slowly start getting more difficulties with walking and jumping, slowly randomly gets stunned, and eventually dies
You can also do this with Blue Fruit or even balloon flowers or pearls, eventually they will start to deal damage
And if a slugpup hits a wall or ceiling too hard, it will deal fall damage, instead of only being the floor it is now also wall or ceiling.
The lower the health of an entity, the;
Slower it would walk
More trouble it would have gripping an item (and pearls and spears are very heavy)
More often it would get stunned
Longer it would take for said health to regenerate
Longer it would be stunned for
Quicker food pips decrease
Lower it would jump
Weaker it would throw
Longer it would take to eat or spit out water after swimming
Smaller it's underwater lung capacity would be
And closer it is to dying overall
If you leave an entity on 1 or 2 health and they try to stumble around but hit a wall or fall the height of 2 slugcats, they die
Yes, just walking against a wall and falling a tiny bit would already deal damage, even if only a little, it wouldn't be any meaningful damage and likely goes completely unnoticed but when an entity is badly hurt it will definetly NOT go unnoticed
That was mod idea :D
so pup abuse mod
And why exclusive damage to slugpups?, the grown slugcats would get damaged on the same things but it have less effect because they are adult, and well, it would be cool be damaged and have a chance to death on repeated hits from rock from scavenger or any no lethal hit
jetfish do damage with their faces, thats why one of them died in that room
i always thought survivor was a slug pup or teen pup
16:52 That was brutal ngl keep up the good content :V bet you were a good meal
i love how the threat music vanished in that instance
You can alternatively to installing a mod, go into jolly co-op (1player) and changing character till it reaches the pup.
(Does require dlc)
im pretty sure thats the Unshackled Co-op mod
@@Bylur5980nuh uh
@@Bylur5980nope! My bf and i did it without any mods
yeah but that only changes the look and not the stats
Doesn't affect movement and food requirements (not sure about that double item holding and item storing though)
You can also install unshackled co-op mod and choose pup in character selection
Thank you for playing my favorite arena music everytime you speed the game up!
i feel like this would be the survivor's descendant or something
Isn't that what jolly coop mod adds with that mod you can be pupified
I think in jolly coop you can also be a pup, so yes
jolly coop's pup is actually purely cosmetic!
@@VetusDea no, it affects your jumps too. i know this because i almost lost an expedition as a pup because i kept barely missing the jump in chimney canopy that takes you to The Wall gate
@@Artificer_
It doesn’t, you just have a tragic case of skill issue /lhj
@@Artificer_ yeah nah that jump just massively fucking sucks and you should always take a rock or two
Honestly playing as a pup makes sense according to the story
Sense you get lost as a pup
I was looking for a video like this a month ago and now it’s here! Great content.
good luck at the start of the leg , ive done a pupify run before and the first shelter in the leg is almost impossible make sure to have a throwable item and a karma flower
there is a thing like that in jolly co-op where when you start you can be a slug pup
Mom be like: i used to do this when i was 7
I found out that if your squidcada gets tired you can drop him and Pick him up right after and he will be flying again almost instantly
Smaller things and challenges like this are what keep me coming back to games I've already beaten several times.
hello @34ghlot99
@@neenah45 hello
I think they added it as a feature to jolly co-op because I visited looks to the moon in the monk campaign as baby spearmaster
love your vids
in some ways, youre really good at the game, and others it drove me mad with the movement mistakes and routing you took 😂
Hello! i've beated the game with this mod enabled and i have a single tip that'll help you a ton
some regions are incredibly hard (top part of chimney canopy) or impossible (farm arrays [i'm pretty sure]) without a grappling worm, please go get one!
I'll try that, thank you!
you're just a little guy
Rain World but you're easier to digest
so who didn’t get this mod
you will be lynched
you cannot live
Jolly co-op is just this mod but you can customize your Slugcat,BECAUSE!!! You can turn your Slugcat into a pup in jolly, well it doesn’t give the effects and you can’t be a pup as all slug cats, but still!!!!
I really liked this. It kind of feels like a Monk run, but this would make sense as part of an Artifier Slugpup run. That is there would be no Looks to the Moon.
To me I think a slugpup would would be a slugdog.A slugkitty (or maybe a slugkit) would be a slugcat
But this is what I think it should be, you can just do whatever you want
Slugpup😼🤘
I already did this and it was honestly easier, lizards couldnt grab me because i could slide under their necks and they wouldnt be able to do anything 💀
I want to do an enot run with this
Yeah that would be fun…(totally)
I’ve done this before and it’s really hard
that's ma boy
I forgot pipeyard existed lmfao
Me too kid
13:33 Why is there an aquapede there? I thought they were only in Rivulet’s run
The aquapede only spawns there in the survivor campaign if there's a shelter failure (pre-cycle spawn)
I think I encountered an aquapede as survivor without shelter failure and seen others do that too
@@ladno1342 I don't remember that cycle being a shelter failure so I don't think it needs to be one to spawn
I've actually tried this mod, and Chimney, and exteriotr, for monk and survivor, are practically impossible, because you need to make some jumps once you get into the leg.
I actually managed to get through the entire exterior (you can watch my other videos), and I can comfirm, it was bad. But it wasn't impossible. Chimney Canopy also wasn't that bad, because of my discovery of slideflips being really good. The one region I can say would be the hardest is sky islands, but there are a ton of squidcadas there, so it evens out
subscribed :)
will this become a series?
I started making the second one just now, so I think yes. Also thank you!
I played the normal survivor campaign and i have reached the deaths to 389 and i still dident get to pebbles
slug
Me:just use jolly coop.
The jolly coop version is easier I'm pretty sure
@@byugnukemyea ik I was kinda joking XD
The craziest thing is that this is (currently) available with no mods required just use jolly co-op
the jolly coop version is easier. No stat changes and stuff, the only thing thats affected is the hitbox size iirc
Did meeting moon as survivor used to have the same images of her in the past from the overseer? Could have sworn ive never seen that before
I've also never seen that picture, but it must've been there all the time and I just didn't see it
Have you seen slugpup with elite scavvy mask?
they look even goofier
Is the picture at the start part of the mod?
(Also, since u can’t carry multiple items at a time, it would be nearly impossible to beat spearmasters campaign)
If you mean the one in the main menu in the top right, then yes
bro you don't need a mod, you can already do that in the jolly co-op menu if you want to.
This actually makes them function like slugpups, the jolly co-op thing is purely cosmetic.
Can this be used in jolly coop/expedition/multiplayer?
I never tried, because no friends, but I think it works
oh well you had the idea first i guess. time to delete all my footage of my slugpup campaign......
It doesn't matter if someone did it already, I would gladly see someone else's playthrough of this. Please try making some videos out of it. Maybe you'll have as much fun editing as I did
@@byugnukem oh ok. It's just short, funny clips of the campaign anyways. thanks
