I live in the Midwest, in a small town in Iowa. There is a local farm I visit every fall. They have an antique shop, hay rack ride, haunted barn, petting zoo, and of course pumpkins! I also make sure to buy from a local family, they do an “honor system,” pick your pumpkins from their truck and leave the money in a lock box they leave on the truck. Another favorite thing for me to do every fall is walk through the trails as much as possible, here the trees turn beautiful red, orange and yellow colors. I love to collect fall foliage for my alter! 🍁 🎃
Where you live sounds absolutely amazing! A haunted barn?! 🕸️ oh my, yes please! Never been to one before or one being set as one. I also love visiting my local farms. There’s one near me called The Three Nunns, ran by the cutest family! and they seasonal donuts + hand poured candles and tractor rides. It’s always so much fun to go! Will have to take you guys along this year for sure! 🍂🚜🎃
Very sweet video. I encourage folks to think about the gifts of the seasons. To start this conversation everyone has a fav season. Listing your seasons (with an explanation why) helps focus appreciation. I'm a Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer woman.
I love that! I agree that focusing on what we appreciate if the season, allows us to focus on that which we are grateful for and not feel discouraged by the season but rather feel uplifted by it. 🫶🏼🍂 thank you for sharing that point of view with us! 🥰
Changing my life to living within the wheel of the year really changed my perspective to appreciation and gratitude for each season. I'm spring first. I love rebirth.
Thanks for this. I created a summer vision board and it was so nice! I’m going to create a fall vision board as well. My vision board is more like a visual bucket list than a traditional “vision” board.
Hi there! I love the ideal of a visual bucket list! I’m such a visual person that the idea of a visual bucket list really speaks to me! I might just have to also give that a try! Thank you for mentioning that! Glad you enjoyed this video, friend! 🫶🏼🍂
I love the fall too! I can't wait to get out my fall drcorations and candles! I live for Thanksgiving every year, which i host! I even have my bathroom all decked out for fall/Thanksgiving!
Fall is definitely one of the best seasons! I love getting in the groove of decorating and making my space feel extra cozy! Plus fall season has some of the best seasonal decorations! 🤗🍂
I LOVE that your videos are getting the love they deserve!! You're a big inspiration for me ❤ i'd love to do more crafts but i get in my own way and talk myself out of doing things because i don't feel like i can do it
Thank you so much for your kind words 🫶🏼🥹 It feels so good to be finding my people here in this space. I am so happy to hear that I can be an inspiration for you. 🫶🏼 I know that I am doing something so good when I can be that for people. ☺️ I hope that you can allow yourself to just have fun with your crafts. For me, letting go of my perfectionism has really helped to ease the pressure for something to have to come out looking great. I think the “wonkier” it feels and looks, the more character that item has 🤗 and I love that!
Through the Woods is a total vibe! I loved it. Ravenfall was super cute and Only Good Indians is a trip. You have an awesome TBR stack 😍 Also I hope your crafts go well for you. I’m not a big crafter but I’m gonna try to get into crochet more, as well as felting 🎃
Oh wow, your new animated illustrations are beautiful and fit the fall/spooky/dark academia vibe perfectly! and your color coordinated bookshelf background, hair and nails look so good! 🦇🖤 I will definitely try the wire spider web idea too! Thank you for your recommendations. I added Her body and other parties, Paola Santiago and the river of tears, and Ravenfall to my TBR 🕸️ Every year when Mike Flanagan's new series comes out on Netflix, my sister, her husband and I watch the entire series on a Saturday in October, it's always great fun 🍂👻
Thank you! I spent last week doing my nails and it was so much fun! I bought an at home gel nail kit and been loving it. 💅🏼 doesn’t the corner spider webs just look soooo spooky and pretty! I’m definitely trying it out this fall season and scattering them on my bookshelves 🕷️ Glad to hear you added some books to your spooky TBR! You added some of my favs from these recs! Love Mike Flanagan! My favs he’s done are The Fall of the House of Usher & Midnight Library! He had a new show out? Oh my, I need to know which one!? 🦇🕸️
Love that Harry Potter puzzle. It's beautiful. You remind me that I need to watch the movies again. It's been awhile. Sadly, I have to drive a couple of hours in order to see changing leaves, because I live in the desert. I miss having autumn.
I love watching the movies yearly. It’s so nostalgic. I want to re-read the books soon too. The movies are so beautifully made and the vibes are just amazing! 🍂🕷️🧹 With the sad reality of climate change, and autumns being pushed further and further out, I like to remind myself that autumn is a vibe we can embody, a state of mind. I rely on moody and fall ambiance videos on YT and they usually do the trick in making me feel like the spirit of autumn is truly here despite the weather not matching 😅🍂
Your idea to romanticise each season a little is absolutely wonderful! I'll definitely check out your other videos on that! Maybe at one point you could do a winter themed video like this? Not a Christmas one, a winter-after-Christmas one maybe? Because there seem to be many ideas right up until Christmas, but once that's over I tend to fall into a bit of a hole... So a winter one would be very interesting!
Hello! 🤗 I am so glad to hear that the idea of romanticizing our lives is something that you connect to. I know how hard it can be to do these gestures for ourselves especially during the winter season as it tends to be a season where we can often fall under season depression or even the holidays can take a toll on us. I would absolutely be more than happy to share a video on how to romanticize our lives during the winter season! Thank you for the idea and for suggesting that! Sending you so much love! 🫶🏼☺️
Omg that illustration at the beginning is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen 😭 when I saw it I knew I wanted to subscribe! Cause I also love fall and reading 🧡 the vibes are also beautiful! I’m excited to watch your videos and hopefully have one of your illustrations!!
Thank you so much for the sweet compliment! I appreciate you! 🤗 I do plan on opening my art online shop again soon. So stay tuned for that. It looks like we have very much similar interests. I absolutely adore the fall season. Truly believe there are many of us out there who literally carry the spirit of fall with us lol I hope you continue to enjoy my videos! Excited to see you around here, new friend! 🫶🏼🍂🤗
@@itskimberlyrodriguez I'm really not much of a horror reader, but the book intrigued me. I prefer gothic style or cozy horror (which to me, gothic falls under as well). I've branched out a little bit, but I really can't usually handle most horror, so it was quite a bit for me. 🤣
I've got a question could you talk about how you were able to get your book in Barnes and Nobles I'm writing a book myself any help would be awesome I'm using kdp
Hi! This is a great question! I would be more than happy to talk about this more in depth in a future video. But I was published “traditionally.” My publisher is Spirit Bound Press who’s an indie publisher. They were the ones that took care of distribution. I’m believe you can still get your book into B&N but I’m unsure of the process. Wish I could be more of help regarding this. Best of luck with your book! 🫶🏼📖
The way I quickly added it to my TBR list is a new record for me 😅 thank you for the rec! It sounds so good! Definitely need to stack up on my vampire books! 🧛🏼♀️🦇🍂
Hi. I just came across your channel. I live in Northern California and still have not gone to Winchester. What part of California do you live in? Have you heard apple hill?
Hi there! So glad to hear you’re also located in Northern CA! I’m located in the East Bay! 🤗 Omg you must go to Winchester Mystery House. Such rich history and very creepy lol and yes I’ve gone to Apple Hill. Last year was my first time going. Definitely going again this year! I enjoyed it so much last year! 🍂🎃🦇
Yes of course! I haven’t updated it in a while but I believe I do have some of my boards visible. If not I will update my Pinterest profile soon and make the crafting boards visible! 🤗🍂🦇
@@poetrycraft777 glad you found me! I thought I had it linked on my videos but I didn’t. You inspired me to update it so I did a little bit of maintenance to my Pinterest yesterday 🤗 I will continue to update it and make inspo boards going forward! 🍂
@itskimberlyrodriguez It had changed over the years. Shorts and poems do really well over there. I'm glad I inspired. I shared your book there the day my pre-order arrived lol

Try small magnets to attach the webs to your bookcases.
Great idea! Thank you! I think that might just work!
Our daughter would hate the spider lol but I love crafting! Nice video!
lol I used to be so scared of them and grew to kind of like them lol from far away though! 😅🕷️
I read The Only Good Indians a few years ago and I still think about it. It was haunting . I am planning on reading A Dowry of Blood this autumn.
