👏👏👏 appreciate the unbiased explanation/comparison of the tech and choosing based on lifestyle and needs. I'm solo, I've got a desk job, and my clothes don't get super dirty except for the occasional (or sometimes frequent) stain, which I'm gonna pretreat anyway. I also tend to invest in high quality garments, a good amount of which require special care, and it's one of primary reasons I'm getting an impeller--so they last longer whether made of durable or delicate fabric with the added benefit of not having to hand wash or bring to the cleaners. Now, if I had a family, my choice would probably be different 🤷‍♀️

Get one with an agitator! I have a large Samsung w/o agitator and its horrible! Every load I pause and basically give everything a good hand washing, every single time. Also, the Samsung's washer do not add enough water, so I have to fill a 5gal bucket about 3/4 of the way full and after washer fills up, I pause it and add the big bucket of water. I can't wait for spring warm weather, I'm going back to my wringer washer on the back porch!

Thanks for the comment! Agitator washers do clean clothes better, since they will move the clothes around in the washer. Impeller washers are great for more capacity, but they are also going to use less water while also being gentler on your clothes. If you want cleaner clothes it is better to have an agitator of some kind, even like the wringer washer you use!

Yes they do and they do not stand behind their product. I hate hate hate this Samsung washer, it never ever cleans clothes completely. You can not choose a water level, some clothes never turn over in the washing, just swish back and forth a little. If you choose warm water, all hot comes out first for a while and then all cold, so if you don't want hot water on your clothes you have to use only cold selection. Another complaint I've seen over and over along with the many ones that I have read is they never spin enough water out. Never never never buy a Samsung product, there are a big rip off. There's more awful features about Samsung washer but I get so stressed out talking about how I lost money because of this piece of junk that I was spending to update my appliances for retirement.

I just ordered a portable washing machine and every brand I looked at has an impeller. I have an impeller from years ago and it's better than nothing. This one I just ordered is a big upgrade from that one though. I needed something now until I can hook up my agitator machine.

Wish I had seen your video before I bought the LG impeller washer. My jeans come out dirty and the dog blankets have as much dirt on them as they had before washing. I have to use the dryer to try and blow the dirt off the washed items. I cannot use my clothes line to dry most of my wash as the dirt just dries on the items. What an expensive disappointment this machine has been.

I absolutely HATE my impeller washing machine. It appears to be an invention to create the need to use MORE ELECTRICITY. Ever noticed the TIME it takes for a 'large load' in an impeller washer to complete? 2 plus HOURS! I know because I have a 'smart' washer & dryer. Why is it that using more 'water' is bad but using more electricity - which is generated via fossil fuel in the U.S. - is good? Big business. That's why. If water were truly the issue, we could all collect water to wash our clothes just like they do in any country with low rainfall and we could save our final 'rinse' for the next wash. But we don't because that's not truly the reason for them. The whole reason behind these washing machines that take 2-3 hours to complete a single wash - when the old washers took only 45 minutes - is about making us use more electricity at greater and greater prices. Don't be fooled. Impellers DON'T WORK... not for us, anyway.

My Samsung impeller washer gets it done in 45 minutes on a normal load. Even with a large load, probably an hour tops. It shouldn't take more than 2 hours for a large load. It depends on what brand you get.
