Lyrics:
You don't know what's going on
You've been away for far too long
You can't come back and think you are still mine
You're out of touch, my baby
My poor discarded baby
I said, baby, baby, baby, you're out of time
Well, baby, baby, baby, you're out of time
I said, baby, baby, baby, you're out of time
You are all left out
Out of there without a doubt
'cause baby, baby, baby, you're out of time
You thought you were a clever girl
Giving up your social whirl
But you can't come back and be the first in line, on no
You're obsolete my baby
My poor old-fashioned baby
I said baby, baby, baby you're out of time
Well, baby, baby, baby, you're out of time
I said, baby, baby, baby, you're out of time
Yes, you are left out
Out of there without a doubt
'cause baby, baby, baby, you're out of time

How awesome is this???
Discovered this song in Once upon a time, now it become one of my favorite songs ever, so perfect
Yes, the soundtrack for the movie is fantastic especially Brother's Love Salvation Traveling Show which is my favourite song :)
like many of us LOL!!!
That's one of the things why Tarantino is a really special director, the music in his films is so perfect.
PD: You are right, Brother's love travelling salvation show is sooo good

Once Upon a Time In Hollywood has one of the best final acts in cinematic history, and this song is a huge part of it. It sets the mood perfectly for what was about to happen in the movie, and sadly what happened in real life. Definitely a Top 5 movie for me now.
Yup. I didn't know how the movie ended, and I was full of dread for what was going to happen.
One of the best films I've seen, still thinking about it months after
When he entered the house I thought other family member of manson family come with the girl who left with the car but fortunately the ending was good but what we know is they 5 are there and manson family could come with the girl and killed them all like reality check
You're god now youre my religion hah 😂😂😜❤️
The movie is rubbish, and so is everything else Tarantino has ever done. And no surprise that he preferred the heavily orchestrated disco version of this song.
I'm 68 years old and I remember when the Stones first burst on the scene ("I can't see myself doing this when I'm 40" - Mick Jagger). I've seen the movies, bought the albums and seen them in person. How in the world did I miss this song? Thanks to Quentin Tarantino this old dog learned something new. Loved the movie. Love this song. Thanks for sharing. Peace and love.
Actually the original track is very old I think it's from like 63 or 64 u should listen to it. It was very different than this newer version.
@@ericg4915 Both versions came out in 1966 - I checked.
in a rolling stones documentary from martin scorsese called " Shine a Light", we hear mick being interviewed by a young lady for japanese television:> " how old are you? " she asked> mick replies: "i am twenty nine years old"> after much giggling from the young lady, she asked " can you see yourself still doing this at 40?" >. OH TOTALLY!, was all he said

The Heavens drum section got even better… RIP Charlie!
Charlie was incredible, but didn’t play on this version. It’s session man Andy White on drums here (of Love Me Do fame) as the backing track was produced by Jagger for the hit Chris Farlowe single. The lead vocal was a demo recording for Farlowe to sing to (or a later overdub). Charlie does play on the totally different Stones album version from Aftermath, alongside some very cool Marimba from Brian Jones. RIP both.
@@ChadMasonFilms I thought Andy played the Farlowe’s version and Charlie did both Stones singles. Out of Time is from Aftermath originally and Charlie is the only drummer on that album. The Farlowe version is good, but it is a bit slower for me.

Tarantino knows how to create a fantastic soundtrack
it's not hard when its 60s music
Florencia Ruiz Cabriel That sequence in ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD was excellent
He learned a lot from Martin Scorsese/Robbie Robertson.
That he does; and the music fit the scenes perfectly. Like two Link Wray tracks in Pulp Fiction...haunting. And, I don't think Tarantino is old enough to remember much of the '60's, and certainly not the '50's.
Of course like kill bill santa smeralda don letbe sou

My childhood was very sheltered and I wasn't exposed to much popular music - only classical and the stuff my parents deemed acceptable for me to hear. Then in high school I rode a bus and the driver always had the top 40 on. So I heard "Out of Time" (the orchestral version) and that was probably my first serious dive into the Rolling Stones. I also heard "Angie," and being a guitar player I really loved it.
Then when I graduated in 1976 I had a co-worker at 7-11 who was a serious Stones fan, she introduced me to the "It's Only Rock and Roll" album and from there there was no looking back.
Pretty much, one of the greatest song ever.

The collection of scenes and the way Tarantino displayed them during this song is the best part of Once Upon a Time....especially when all the neon signs come on and the town comes to life. Beautifully done!👍👍👍👍
This song is so awesome and the Rolling Stones will never be out of time that's for sure😍❤
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I've always thought that this was one of the Stones best. It was a pleasant surprise to see it set the tone for the final scene in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Tonight, Rick and Cliff will have a good ol'fashioned drunk...
I'm here just because I genuinely love this song, one of my personal favorites of the Rolling Stones. I use to like more the original versions but I have to say the added strings, drums and vocals make this my favorite version, it's just a perfect pop hook!
Aahhh , Once Upon A Time In ... Hollywood , A perfect movie
The chills i had when the Hollywood lights came on and this song played, i knew exactly what it meant by "Out Of Time" as im sure did many others.
SUCH A GOOD SCENE
Awesome! First time hearing it was in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'? What a brilliant soundtrack (and film)!
Nice to hear the Stones during the Brian Jones years. Jagger and Richards are brilliant songwriters
Nowt to do with The Stones. This is Jagger's guide vocal for the Chris Farlowe cover version (Jagger produced the track), he's the only Stone on it.
That would be Keith that wrote this. They always shared the writer's credit.
@@bingsinatra5283 when was this version recorded?
@@JJSMJ It was recorded in mono in 1966, the female backing vocals were added in 1975, then the track was mixed in electronically processed (ie fake) stereo for the unofficial 'Metamorphisis' out-takes compilation.
@@bingsinatra5283 Nowt to do with the Stones
Hello ?? The Stones wrote it, it’s their song not that opportunistic Farlowe feeding on their scraps
It’s Jaggers vocal and Jagger’s lyrics not the Stones backing him but still great
The Stones recording of the track on the album Aftermath is a masterpiece
THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD
This song is my new obsession...
Klaatu Barada Nikto, Gort. I too loved this song so much, I searched for the English version of "Aftermath" for months at record shops and swap-meets, looking for the extended version. A lot of the early Stones put the girls in their place, and the girls went nuts for them anyway. Interestingly, Mick Jagger didn't much like this song.

That scene with Out of time playing, shows what the relationship for Rick and cliff is for real.
You see the same filming during the arrival of Sharon Tate, returning from Poland with her new husband, as Rick returns from Italy with his wife. Their key men, however, are Jay and cliff, and as Steve McQueen has stated for Jay, he will always be there for him, the same goes for cliff.
She wasn’t returning from Poland in the beginning. She was coming back from London I think.
No1 cares about your fucking film. This is a fucking Rolling Stones music video. Shut the goddamn fuck up.

Absolutely love this great song from the Rolling Stones.
Has there ever been a song that can fill you with so much energy in such a short time? I don't think so.
Why, most of Beatles' songs, I've Just Seen A Face (Beatles) - to name just one. Revolution - another one. Paint it black - if you are into RS. There were many energetic songs in this period. Check the channel ua-cam.com/channels/WO9OCjghM_d8Q5MDKNK7oQ.html if you seek music with real energy and emotions.
It was my gym song today and I had it on repeat
How many people are coming here because the Once upon a Time In Hollywood version of this video got taken down?

Mike ...you’ve watched it 5 times... mike.. mate.. read a book, get out more, walk the fucking dog or something 👻

I'm here because it WAS in the movie.
Interesting they chose the metamorphosis version, not the UK Aftermath/US Flowers one. I think this one is superior. Was great in once upon a time in hollywood.
Love the metamorphosis album cover too
With the string arrangement this song is great, the aftermath/flowers version in my opinion was a bit weak, this feels magic
It's called psychedelic rock. It's the psychedelic version as if you were on acid like Cliff. They used to use similar backgrounds in back of the bands at rock concerts in the 60s. They did it with colored liquids on rounded glass lenses in front of projectors. Now they use computers to do it.
I got metamorphosis in a cut out bin in my local department store as a teenager. Some really good stuff on it including jiving sister fanny
First time I've heard the original. Wow. Not a Stones fan, but they take this song into another league! love it
This song originally came out in 1966 not 1969! I definitely remember, and I was 14 and heartbroken!
Same thing with those Raiders songs, but what 'da hell.
If a song from 1966 is used in a movie set in 1969 the song exists to be used in 1969, if the song had been released in 1974 then you get to question it, in 1969 it was out there source material.
about the same time as GET OFF MY CLOUD..
@@classic3511 Yeah, but this version of Out Of Time wasn't released until 1975. Fact.
Oh my God, for the people complaining about the anachronostic use of the clearly superior 1975 version of this song in a movie set in 1969, what don't you get about the irony inherent in the fact the song is used "out of time" in the movie? No one in the movie is jamming out to the song diegetically. There's no continuity error. Did you complain about the David Bowie track used in Inglorious Basterds? Bowie wasn't even born when that movie is set. Tarantino's thought this all through. If the song works, it WORKS.
This is simply one of the greatest songs of all time.
A great rock band of the '60s....the Rolling Stones.a band that's got longevity.they never disappointed their dedicated fans by breaking-up along the way.they placed their fans satisfaction above personal egos .hats off to them!!!to this very day, they keep their fans. The rediscovery of this sonic gem is awesome! I can see why at the time this song was cut off the US version it exceeded the three and a third minute, 'hit' record rule adopted by the radio stations at this time. The longer playing FM friendly format was just about to hit the, 'States '. but still right around the corner from this song.
