'Sampling' is common among songwriters. Ashcroft is finally earning royalties for his iconic song Bittersweet Symphony.

He had their big hits album, "High Tide and Green Grass" under his arm and said, "You gotta hear this." I had not heard "Satisfaction" either, the first cut. Welcome to 1965. Believe me, it was far from perfect. It did have a few little bands though. This song defined life inside many high schools in the US. No party was complete without playing it at least 3 times.
This was the Stones first really big hit that was all their own. Written by Jagger/Richards it went to number 1 in the UK and 10 in the US. Of course, Statisfaction was released about 6 months later and they were forever launched into superstardom. As legendary as Satisfaction is--the Last Time never gets tiring. Even though the production and sound are of that era-----that is so much of its charm even today. If Recorded 10 years later it would not be the same. I just can't explain it.

NOTHING like bitter sweet symphony. My favourite song of all time.
Blows me sideways! One of the greatest ever!
Welcome to 1965. Believe me, it was far from perfect. It did have a few little bands though. This song defined life inside many high schools in the US. No party was complete without playing it at least 3 times.
I heard this last week at a store. I didn't realize it was the last time I'd hear the Stones while I was out while Charlie was still here. RIP.
Filled with much angst, anxiety.....
Time is on my side pleaseeeee🥺🥺🥺
The last time was a good place to start
BLUES BRITISH ROCK..............,
AT ITS FINEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pop gem with an 👏👍👏 superb riff, unsurpassed melody and an instant catchy chorus Elvis type. Being a bit repetitive, but with that 🎶🎶🎶 and that 🎸, nothing can ruin a song
One of the first songs I figured out on the guitar! Love it forever! So many great memories with The Stones in the background.
The layers of guitars in this song... awesome.
This will always be a classic, brilliant.
The best song from the Stones....
58 here love it to the end. Stones Los Angeles CA USA July 13
The level of detail in this lyric video is absolutely stunning.
This certainly won't be the last time that I soak up this banger. Man, that riff! ❤️🔥
This is one of my favourites from the rolling Stones.
I've been hearing this with "Goose Bumps" since I was a teen and it won't be THE LAST TIME ! Still exciting and fantastic !
My 2nd favourite Stones record, after 'It's All Over Now'.....terrific stuff !
Oh yes one of my personal fav's I told you once & I told you twice what a phenomenal track long live the rolling stones 🎺🎷🎵🎶🪕🎸🎻🏴🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧💯🎼🎹🎼🎹🎼
Has to be one of the best ever intro’s. Admittedly, it does carry on throughout the whole tune, but it’s still great and instantly recognisable.
such a shame brian was such a FLAWED GENIUS .....SO GOOD WHEN HE WAS IN THE ZONE
My all time favorite British band.
Played this in first garage band when I was 15. I played bass so it was fairly easy!
