Will I get a reply? Probably not I never do. I thought I was going to like this radio but I am not happy with it. I used Apple play today on a short trip. Started out decent I could see the streets and other marking but not great. I couldn’t get the voice to work. Later it faded out to the point it was pretty much worthless. The icons on the left side of the screen is also worthless. They need light. I looked at settings but could see no way to make them visible. If there is a way please let me know. I tried changing the screen setting but didn’t see much difference. I wish I had heard of infotainment.com before I spent all this money. I don’t know why Dodge Ram parts wouldn’t tell us about them when ask about radios but they didn’t.
Hello, I’m sorry you had a bad experience. I have not had any issues with my unit. Are you using CarPlay wireless or plugged in? I do agree, the icons on left side need to be more prominent and brighter but I’m used to them by memory. You should be able to adjust the brightness though.
Does your WiFi on your phone say you are connected to the Radio? Click the menu button on the radio (top left corner) and click devices and click on your phone to connect.
@@DieselLegiance do I need to have WIFI for this. Thought it runs off my data. I can’t get the CarPlay to connect to my phone at all but I have Bluetooth for kusic
It’s not a true high definition screen, but it is much clearer in person. It’s a budget friendly radio unit. If you paid twice as much, you probably would get a better looking screen.
Thanks for the review, I just installed a Sony in my Jeep and I’m not really happy with the quality. I plan to exchange it for this Kenwood.
Thanks for this video...just purchased this unit today and I appreciate the walk through.
It’s honestly not a bad value for wireless Apple CarPlay & wireless Android auto. It works perfectly fine and looks great. 👍🏼
Gonna pick one up tomorrow 😁

Does the screen look this bad in person?

Question I’m having my kenwood DMX8709S install do I need a hdmi micros type male and a male same type C? I have a iPhone want to stream movies
Streaming movies with an iPhone to the KENWOOD is tricky and you may need a special adapter? I think it works on android but iPhones are tricky.
