Thank you for a very enjoyable and informative tour of your beautiful gardens! Your pacing was perfect as was the filming . It’s so sweet the way you speak about your grandmother. I was feeling itchy for you as you were swatting away those mosquitoes!
What a beautiful tour! Thank you for sharing! Wanted to share I had to look up the pronunciation of Lantana after I heard you say it! It’s pronounced Lan as in land and tan uh. I always love learning proper pronunciation of plants! Obviously you can say it however you please!! 😂😘 Just wanted to share! This garden is just an absolute dream!!!! I could watch this all day long!
I loved this tour! Thank you. The footage is great. Ive been using your videos as reference but i love how you use your cutting flowers in the landscape, thats exactly what i am doing.
I love the idea of making a cut garden in a perennial/annual garden. You do have moments to enjoy it in bloom and take photos and even though in this video you say a lot has been harvested there's still a lot to see and enjoy.
I love that Sage unfortunately I'm a zone five and it wouldn't carry over the winter for me. Your garden is beautiful and I love how you mix The Cutting aspects along with the look of your garden. Thank you for the garden tour. I've been learning so much from you. This year was the first year I planted strawflowers and had no clue what to do with them. But thanks to you I now know when to cut and have some ideas on what to do with them.
The garden is lovely! Speaking of seeds, you mention not growing moonbeam again, sometimes it's the seed itself, harvested from a weak plant, as someone that has grown a lot from seed through the years I've found that to be the problem sometimes. Love the pinky winky, mine is eight feet tall now and in full bloom, glorious.I totally agree about the best way to garden is getting flowers from family and friends, my garden is full of such plants so they bring my twice the joy, for I have plants growing from loved ones that are no longer with us, and when I see them blooming each year I think of them. I've not grown straw flowers in awhile, but yours is lovely.
I paid .99 cents for packet of Chianti Sunflower seed at Walmart. Check the end caps in spring time. They end cap racks are in blue cardboard racks. Sometimes the staff just leaves racks on floor!
I planted my straw flowers next to my zinnias. They did well. I dried some but didn't get time to use them. I would like to see a dried flower video. Love your tours!
You have a beautiful garden! I enjoy all your videos! I did straw flowers this year from seed and they are pretty. Where did you say you buy your seeds from?
Wow wow very very beautiful hydrangeas 👏👏👏👏 I love them very much! I also always try my best to make my hydrangeas bloom but it's always a failure. Maybe it's type of climate I have here in the Philippines.
Thanks for the tour! Awesome 👏. My dahlias aren’t blooming yet and I started 2 around earth day indoors. And one on Memorial Day. Those gave me confidence. Hopefully mine will bloom soon. I don’t see any buds. Do a dahlia tour in the future 👍🏻
Hi. I'm in Westminster, Colorado zone 5b. My sage makes a lovely border but I cut it back in March by 3/4. How do you trim your sage and when? Thanks, Kathy
Wonderful tour! Thanks for braving mosquitoes! Have you tried proven winners Suncredible sunflowers? Highly recommend them for cutting and landscape Miss D!
@@NorthlawnFlowerFarmandGardens I got several Suncredible sunflowers at my local garden center. I will definitely be buying them again! Not sure if they will sell seeds. Maybe I will try saving some. Do you have Serendioity Alliums?
Gorgeous gardens! Your hydrangeas are stunning. I love everything. Would you do a video on seed starting. I have done mine with a heat mat and near south facing windows, but want to do more for this coming year. Do use grow lights?
I love how you’ve created a cutting garden in your landscape. You’ve done it so well that I usually can’t tell what you’ve cut. Question, do you have everything on drip or do you hand wanted daily?
Thank you so much for your kind words Carissa. I water everything by hand until it's established. We get so much rain here I don't need to provide drip irrigation. Usually, I have the opposite problem of disease caused by overhead water.
Northlawn Flower Farms I’m in New England and we normally get a good amount of rain too, but this summer has been so dry. I fell like all I do is water now. 😄
Hey Danielle! I am so glad I found your channel.... you are such an inspiring young woman! I really want to learn about properly growing cut flowers for next year to really amp up my game and you have been so so helpful, my word you know your stuff girlie! What part of pa are you in? I live in Pittsburgh ❤️.... I love that we’re in the same growing zone so please keep doing what your doing and inspire us!
Northlawn Flower Farms also did you work for Phipps??? I am so so fortunate to live so close to there.... it’s truly a dream for us plant people right?! Lol ahhh I just love it there (you said that massive hosta was from there so just curious)
Northlawn Flower Farms That is SO AWESOME!!! the fact u have actual plants from phipps In your garden makes me soooo jealous 😂😍 your grandma sounded like a wonderful woman ❤️ you are very blessed to have that knowledge at such a young age ❤️🌿
Love the garden! So much inspiration to draw from. Although, for your videos, can you turn up the volume on narration a tad bit? I had to put my volume all the way up.
Could you share your secret to getting the sunflower seeds to germinate? I planted evening sun sunflowers and zohar sunflowers several times in several different places this year and didn't get any to germinate! Some were covered with netting since I thought maybe the squirrels were getting the seeds but those didn't germinate either. What tips do you have for growing sunflowers? thanks!
Hello, I just found you I'm in PA as well. Your gardens are beautiful! Do you have a problem with deer. I plant what deer love but I have to spray home made deer away every week. It gets annoying. The deer come close even up to my doors.
Hi Karie! I have had that trouble in the past also. I would try spacing them further apart so that they have more air flow. Some varieties are supposed to be more resistant to powdery mildew - I know the queen series is marketed that way.
@@NorthlawnFlowerFarmandGardens thank you for the reply. I will have to check those out next year. I start all my zinnias from seed. I was hoping they wouldn't get those diseases as bad this year since I took such great care of them. But this year has been an extremely hard year in my yard for diseases and pests.
Hi Ruth! Sure thing. I get them from Rohrer's Seed. They sell all different big name brands at their retail location - Johnny's, Renee's, Baker Creek, etc.
Super like👏🌻🌷🌹congratulations
Nice share and great Garden keep it up my friend big like 🌹👍🏼💓 have a wonderful Time 🍃🕊🍃 Thanks for sharing 👍🏼👍🏼

Your garden is giving me so many ideas. I want the burning bush lol I think that's what I remember and the new hydrengea coming in 2021 yayyy.
It all looks amazing. I love wild looking so my eye only sees beauty.
Love that Chianti sunflower!!! I didn't think you could collect seed from a pollenless sunflower.
same here
Beautiful garden and I love your tips.
Wonderful..beautiful garden 🌺
very nice, beautiful garden and the way you plant is very good.. thank you friend👍👍

Beautiful! The GoPro is great!
I feel the same way about Batchelor’s button as you do about your strawflowers. Their stems look weedy. Thanks for this wonderful tour!! 🌸🌸🌸
Enjoyed your tour!
Amazing garden, so many beautiful flowers! 😍👌❤️
So beautiful and I especially love how you incorporated your grandmother and mother in your garden! Melts my heart 💕

The wine craft gold smokebush 20:42 is phenomenal!
Everything looks so pretty.
Love your garden. One word: Stunning.
I enjoy hearing you say Lawn-tawna for Lantana. I've never heard it said that way!😉 Beautiful garden.

Great tour😁 I know what you mean about dollar sales.. a friend and I hit a clearance last week and each picked up about 20 annuals 🤣😉

I love your videos and have learned so much. How deep are your garden beds?
New Gopro is so nice
BEAUTIFUL!! Can we collect the sunflower seed from all types of sunflowers? or are there exceptions?
Hi. I'm in Westminster, Colorado zone 5b. My sage makes a lovely border but I cut it back in March by 3/4. How do you trim your sage and when? Thanks, Kathy
Loved the tour! Question on the clustered bell flowers, you said you cut them back ~ how far down the stem?
Wonderful tour! Thanks for braving mosquitoes! Have you tried proven winners Suncredible sunflowers? Highly recommend them for cutting and landscape Miss D!
Hi garden friend! I haven't been able to get my hands on any, but I'll definitely try to next year. I wonder if PW will start selling the seed?
Can't get my hands on any either, but they look amazing 😁

Wonderful tour of a wonderful garden! Can you elaborate on the “pollenless sunflowers”?
They don't drop pollen so preferred for cut flowers
❤️😍

I'll be happy to do that Cheri! Yes I use grow lights - just a simple shop light setup- but everything goes under lights.

Would plants like these do well in zone 9b?? I’m concerned for the very hot months.. I do have some shade areas? Any tips Thanks.
Just beautiful..what do you use your flowers for?

How do you get in there to seed things or do you do it as you plan out your landscape?
I’d love to hear how you stake dahlias!
Is your whole garden in full sun?

We really love your garden! At 18minutes in there is a beautiful evergreen next to the nicotiana...what variety is that???
Hi there! It's a Japenese Cedar.
Do you net any of your tall cut flowers like zinnias?
My zinnias always get powdery mildew and rust. What would you use on them?

@4:42 just after you zoomed in on a bee, what is the tall pink bloomed shrub please? I haven't gotten past 5 mins and I'm already salivating...
Hi there! That is Joe Pye Weed. A fabulous native perennial!
Why do you harvest your foxglove leaves?
Don’t the birds eat the sunflower seeds before you get to them?
Hi Karen! Sometimes I have issues with bunnies early on. A floating row cover helps until things get well established.
Where you find peonies. ???
9:45 *raises hand* I need 500 zinnia a day please
Can you repeat where you get your seed? I had trouble understanding.

What zone is this? 5B?
