I love the the hydrangeas behind the swing. And I personally like the bed the way you have it now. But to be fair, I am not the one mowing it. Love you lady! You are a joy to watch and learn from. Stacey
Danielle, you're such a blessing, and I always look forward to your posts. I agree, you definitely need to add some things that aren't so labor intensive. I can't believe that you do all of that by yourself, although it's clearly a labor of love. Yes, evergreens in the front are a great idea. Not only are they low maintenance, but they look appealing year round. When your time and budget permit, I'd suggest adding some around what I think is your back door, as well as around what I think is your garage, and strategically placed between you and the busy street. Not only will they add privacy, but they might help with the noise, too. Beautiful tour, as always 💚🌷💚
I love love love your gardens ♥️♥️♥️♥️ they are so peaceful 😍🌷🌹🌺 and I am putting in two more gardens and love the idea of the stumps and logs for pathways ☺️☺️☺️☺️ thank you for sharing the beauty and peacefulness with us from your gardens 🌺🌼🌻🪴🪴🪴
Always enjoy your videos and content which have inspired me in my own garden. I like the idea of an evergreen low growing hedge in the front of your property. It will look beautiful and be low maintenance, perhaps the idea for that front garden is plant only low maintenance, curb appeal plants so you rarely have to go there and do anything. Don't worry about your equipment and editing, etc. Your videos are great and you may not realize, but the information you share along with your videos is very helpful, useful and often times "new to me" information even for those of us who have been gardening all our lives...so it's not all about the equipment, it truly is the content. "Happy Gardening!" :)
Most of my new gardens are made from my own divisions or plants and divisions from my friend’s garden, with only occasionally a new must have plant thrown in here and there. Your baby birds are adorable! Wonderful tour of your beautiful garden, thank you for sharing! 🌸🌸🌸🌱🌱🌱🌿🌿🐣
Hi Miss D! You garden is a treat for my one functioning eye! Just had eye surgery #8. (I fell asleep and woke up with a jolt during conscious sedation which is not a great thing when a doctor has a sharp instrument in your eyeball haha) Recovering at home now and so grateful for the ability to see your flowers with my good eye! :) love and hugs Linda 🇨🇦
I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos. One idea for the area behind the swing when you put in the hydrangeas is to put a walk path between them and the swing. This way you could enjoy your garden from a backside view. You do amazing gardening. I've gotten a lot of inspiration from you and watched as I spent several months with my father in his last days while on hospice. Thank you again for your time to share with others. I also love the fact that you share your tulips at the nursing home! :-)
I enjoy your channel so much! I'm so thankful for your grandmother who obviously cultivated your love for gardening. Thanks for all the honesty, education and inspiration! ...oh, and the hydrangeas behind swing would be perfection!
This Saturday was a rainy one so I decided to binge watch your garden tours. First off, l love that you are a pollinator certified garden & you leave valuable space for milkweed. Also, you have inspired me to sow more seeds in my garden. I also love the diversity in your garden-I’m not in your garden zone but it’s cool that tithonia also grows well where you live & one day, if I ever go up north I will grow a Ninebark. They’re so beautiful! Finally, keep up the great work & please show all areas of your garden, including those “farmy sides” like the compost pile.
Hello Danielle! Yes for the hydrangea hedge behind the swing! And look out for PW smokebush velvet fog, would be a great addition to your wonderful garden. If there were a place big enough in your "granny garden" near the tree stump I have a feeling your grandmother would love the addition of a so called wedding cake tree (which may not help with cutflowers) for the white garden. I cannot explain it, but immediately when I saw the tree stump it came to me. Or to either side of her chair a wheeping crabapple tree? I really enjoyed this tour, thanks for having me! Happy gardening, Hanni.
In the front garden you could use more containers to add interest and use pea gravel and mulch to create some visual curves. Love your garden, your style and your knowledge!
Stunning! Simply stunning! I so love your garden tours Danielle. Here in New Zealand I have almost finished my autumn bulb planting and unbelievably they seem to be popping up as fast as I can get them in. They won't bloom until late July/August though. I get such inspiration and great plant ideas from your garden. You are my go to reference, and I take notes during your videos lol. Take care.
Nice tour, looking forward to seeing the garden throughout the summer. I vote behind the swing, it's a plus that they'll block the side street as well, feeling like you're being hugged.
Thanks for the tour Danielle :) I love your Japanese cedar - it's beautiful! I do like the idea of the hydrangeas being planted around the swing - like it's giving a great big hug!
Your yard is looking beautiful. I love all the new improvements! Here in Cape Breton, NS (zone 5a) my plants are just peaking out of the ground, so morning coffee and your garden tour was heaven. Thank you.
🌸Your garden is lovely💕! I so enjoy your tours. Thank you for all of your hard work and sharing the process online! As I am just learning 🤓 and starting to landscape, it is really helpful to see how your plants and shrubs grow in shape and size from the beginning thru the years. We seem to have very similar tastes! 😂 Many of the plants I have had my eye on, you have growing, so it is great to see what they look like (outside of a catalog)! I love the idea of the hydrangea hedge hugging the swing! That would be beautiful! 🌱
So peaceful and calming to walk along with you through your gorgeous garden beds! Love seeing all the colors and kinds and hearing the birds. Needed this today. Also your filming is great as it is - you don't bounce or swing fast - Much appreciated! Thank you for sharing your beautiful gardens, process and plans! Blessings 🌺
Danielle, I think the quality to your videos is just fine. The various camera shots from a distance and up close with your calm narration are just perfect and are just the right balance ! On a separate note I was actually smiling to myself because I just finished dividing my autumn joy sedum in the fall but I’m actually very tired of the plant and I am thinking of replacing it with the lemon one. I just planted the lemony lace elderberry and nine bark plants last fall . Thank you!
If you are tired of the Autumn Joys, then have you tried cutting them back by a third or so, once or twice a season? I have cut mine back, and gotten such lovely, chubby foliage plants. I really love them when they look like dewy broccolis. :)
I love the Isle of Misfit Flowers! I have a spot in my yard between two sheds that I decided would be the designated spot for extras and homeless transplants.
Hello! Enjoyed watching your garden tour it’s beautiful!!! Those tulips I think called Jubilee mix with red and parrot tulips they are so pretty. I’m looking forward to seeing the area where you will be experimenting with plants that’s an awesome way to see what does great in your area. Love it all! And don’t worry about the great quality camera stuff your garden is beautiful!!! 🙏💐💚💚💚💚💚💚
Wow! What a beautiful job you have done on this property. You have so many good ideas, suggestions and knowledge. I love to watch each of your garden tours with a note pad so i can write notes as you speak. I loved how you added pictures of some of the flowers you didn’t think got a good enough view during the tour. But I would have loved a couple more shots of some of the tiny flowers you mentioned but didn’t get a close up shot of. (Maybe i just want your videos to be longer) 😜. Thank you for sharing with us!
I agree. The Hydrangea hedge sounds lovely. You are so very talented and a tremendous blessing with your willingness to share such wonderful information. Thank you!
Your passion for gardening shows in every corner of your property! I love seeing the progress in your front garden. The hydrangeas behind the bench will be perfect. They will be a lovely colourful backdrop and actually feel cosy. Love your tours 🥰👍🌸
You might look at getting a Bobo hydrangeas by proven winners it is a small white one also adding helibores to the woodland area and maybe clematis to your white lattice. Love the tour.
I absolutely love Ninebark bushes. I have been collecting different varieties for years. I have collected 9 so far, 6 different varieties. There are so many different types. They are beautiful bushes. Your tulips are beautiful. I enjoy your garden tours. On my wishlist, I have black lace elderberry and lemony lace elderberry.
Have you done a video discussing being a certified pollinator garden? Would love to get your experience with that and things you do to maintain your garden so that it stays pollinator certified and the process.
Your garden is looking so beautiful. I love your honest and all your tips. I appreciate the time and energy you put into your videos. Love all your stories! Sending happy blessings to you and your family.
Yes! Invincibelle hugging the swing is a great idea. I was going to suggest you plant some 'protective' shrubs right there. . In 'bare patches' of your borders, for example where you've got lilies planted, how about planting in some shallow root, spring blooming perennials, like Forget-me-nots? . Evergreens, hydrangeas (and a couple of tall-ish ornamental grasses?) would look good most of the year round in front of the house.
Everything looks beautiful im sure it will be even better in May! You definitely need a bench or a wing to enjoy that peacful view in the back there. I also like your idea of the woodland garden, i can see it! i guess ive never seen that area before. Good to hear from u thanks for the tour! Happy Gardening! 💜💛💚💙
Everything looks great. You have a lot in your space and all well planned out. I love your "island of misfit plants", I would bet that they will do surprisingly well for you and may turn out to be one of your favorite areas. Getting volunteers is always such a great bonus too. Thanks for taking the time to do your garden walk.
I believe those are Dreamtouch tulips that you are showing at the 12:22 mark. I've seen them at crazy clearance prices just recently online. I can't remember where exactly but I get tulips from Tulipworld, Breck's, and Longfield Gardens. They're gorgeous.
I'm new to gardening and I grow my flowers from seed too, so it's nice to see another seedling tour! We have saint francis in our yard in memory of my grandfather. I love the way the logs look!
Hi Danielle, I'm not sure if you've ever watched a video from Garden answers but they have a highlights page and today they mentioned that their advice to novice youtubers would be don't invest in a high quality camera, invest in a microphone first. It makes editing the videos and the quality much better. Hope this helps, great job!
Your garden is lovely. You have a lot going on in your space and your love of plants is really evident. Love the hydrangea idea behind the swing. It will be so pretty. The woodland area will be exciting as it evolves. Enjoy!
I think the hydrangeas would look lovely by the swing. Your garden is beautiful.
I love the the hydrangeas behind the swing. And I personally like the bed the way you have it now. But to be fair, I am not the one mowing it.

So beautiful! Really. It is obvious to me that your garden is a labor of love. It’s so touching that you have a chair out for your grandmother. 💕🌸

I'd plant the hydrangeas in the awkward curve area for some height over there! either way, they'll look gorgeous wherever they're planted
Enjoyed the tour. You always seem to put a lot of thought in your garden. ❤️
