I have the exact same set and your video was very helpful in removing the old sling. Do you happen to have the measurements you used for the new pieces? The old pieces are so worn that taking measurements from them seem unreliable. Thank you!
In the middle of this project. Bought a sewing machine for the hems. What stitch did you use? We tried gluing the fabric but it’s too porous so glue didn’t hold.
I'm sorry, but I don't know the stitch. Our sewing machine is over 40 years old. I used an heavy duty needle and upholstery tread. They're still holding up outdoors today and still look new!
amzn.to/3W7SIw2 Sorry about that. I thought I put it in the description. Here is my blog site if that helps, too. essentialsforhomeandgarden.com/how-to-replace-sling-chair-fabric/
Amazing
Thank you for posting this! Wondering how you went about measuring the fabric for the perfect fit.
Used the measurements from the old fabric!
Nice job
Thank you!
I couldn't find the link for the splines in the description; do you still have it?

I wish I did, but however, I do not! Mine, too, were really worn, and I still used the old thread measurements. Sorry, I couldn't be more helpful.

Annie-I never saw if you replaced 4 or 6 sling chairs. Can you please remind me? Thanks!

I don't see the fabric listed.... What is the link on Amazon for the fabric?
I didn't order the fabric from Amazon. I ordered directly from salrite website.
Do you have to install the fabric in one particular direction, or does it matter if you sew and install it sideways?
For these chairs, I had to install them on the sides. The fabric pattern it didn't matter which direction. I hope that helps.
I have this chair with the same rip, I guess you didn't find anywhere to buy a replacement sling set?
No. I only found a roll. Maybe too many different chairs types?!? Would have been easier if I coulda bought the set.
@@artisanannie Do you know the chair manufacturer? I cant find anything on the chair for ID?
@Ben Hannon No, I do not. Mine had no identification on them either.
Where did you find the material?
Sailrite
I’d rather spend more money and do something easier lol this is way too much work. But great job!!!!!
Amanda, I had the same thoughts while doing this. But it was very rewarding and made me feel good not throwing them in the trash. Thank you!
OMG how am I supposed to listen to you when you have that music so loud in the background I disliked it
Ok. Have a good day!
@@artisanannie, that was a perfect reply.
