    I burst into tears when the first chimp clearly smiled so big when it finally realized it was her. To see an animal hug ~ actually hug a human, is amazing in itself. I will never understand how humans could be so cruel to animals when they laugh, love, hurt and cry... just like us. They are so forgiving. We humans can really learn so much from the animal kingdom.

    • @IXCproductions
      @IXCproductions 4 роки тому +54

      Well yeah they do laugh, love, hurt and cry just like us. And we still kill and treat other humans like trash. People give even less of a shit about animals. I can't stand any animal suffering. Especially when a human does it. It's disgusting, cruel, and we are the gods of this Earth to these animals, and they don't know why we do the shit we do. It's almost like treating a mentally challenged person cruelly. We are supposed to be the most intelligent and civilized beings on Earth, some people don't even think we're animals, and yet we treat animals like trash...

    I think I've figured out why we as humans get quite emotional when watching this kind of "reunion" videos. Be it with troops coming home, or like this one with animals. It's because we eternally long for universal unity; to belong, to be at true peace. And when we bare witness to moments like this, it re-instills within our souls that longing for unity... a hug which ends division. And love, the one thing that can truly heal and set you free from the oppression and the greed of those who just want to watch the world burn.
    It may sound deep, but I truly believe it is the truth. Love is key to it all.

The shit woman have had to endure as far as being in power... shows immense strength on our part. A strength worthy of acknowledgement when compared to men enduring the same suppression and abuse in war, for an example... To endure such a war and suppression and imbalance.....
      it shows the easy and fear ridden path many men took to gain “power” all to that gender exclusively.... woman will rise and be in power eventually, I’m sure of it. And I got a feeling they’re gonna do damn good.. There are crap people in both genders of course... but woman are somethin else ya know? As far as emotions, very few animals express what are *true* complex emotions, and these are usually the animals that are self-aware. That being said, plenty of other animals experience basic emotions that are tied to environmental stimuli like fear, excitement, anger, or love.

      It's highly improbable she was attempting to state a taxonomic fact if she was watching this video and talking about smiles and hugs. Obviously it was a reference to our kinship with other animals, seeing as how we are both sentient and and capable of complex emotional attachments (that can last decades as shown here).
      Nonetheless, humans are apes, and if our species is not to egocentric to recognize it, we have moral responsibilities to other animals if only to minimize unnecessary pain.
      Hans Oberlander
      *1.* Not knowing an obscure piece of trivia doesn't qualify as stupidity. Intelligence is a measure of our ability to learn. Stupidity is thinking that knowing a random fact ...like the social implications species-specific facial expressions... makes you smart.
      *2.* She said that chimps smile, and she was correct. She never explicitly said the smile corresponded to any particular emotion. Her entire point was that chimps have emotions like we do, and that "smile" is an expression emotion one way or another. Chimps both smile and grimace. It was Mike that said they don't smile.
      Any new information Scoldpedia could have offered on the distinction between the upper teeth smiles and grimacing smiles may have been interesting, but neither conflicted with nor was relevant to her underlying point.
      *3.* Instead of constructively contributing his inside knowledge on the subject, he attempted to belittle her else under some false pretense of ignorance because of this piece of trivia.
      If he truly believes that reflects a low intellect, then yes, both are solid cases for concluding he is "stupid" and an "asshole".
