The common misconception about Oranges is that they are a tree when in fact, they are actually shrubs, it’s best not to remove the lower branches because they protect the delicate trunk from pests and sun scorch and help maintain the moisture of the shrub as it gets older.
I agree. So delicious. Today was my first day having one. Unlike any orange I’ve ever had before! It has more density and juice. It’s sweet and is not as tart as other oranges.
Great little video! You're a lovely lady with a pretty, smart daughter. You've raised her well. Just so you know, the Cara Cara is just another mutated version of Navel Orange. Many nurseries have tags on these plants that say " Cara Cara Navel Orange ". In fact, if you look at the very fruit you cut in the video as a demonstration, it does have that distinct 'belly button' from which the name 'Navel' came from. 🙏💗🙏💗
They are delicious... we can find them.at Sam's club from time to time. I'm looking to get one this spring. I have 3 different types of Satsuma . Can't have enough.
She's telling yall the truth. I sampled this fruit at White Forest nursery in Bakersfield yesterday man oh man it was so tasteyyyyyy with a hint of berry. Easy to peal just a regular Washington navel but far more superior taste. Hands down taste winner of all the varieties I sampled.
thank you for the beautiful. video, where are you located? I see the tree is in the ground Im in Ontario Canada, Zone 6B,I do grow citrus but in pots, we get some citrus plants here, but never seen an Cara Cara orange, 😊 im jealous
Another question, do you ever get cara cara oranges that are not pink inside? I purchased a tree labeled cara cara but my fruit is normal yellow color like a regular orange...im disappointed 😞
I’m sorry to hear that.. honestly when my tree was young it did produce one or two regular orange color ( on the inside) oranges per season, But now that it’s more mature it only produces the pink colored ones. Maybe give it some more time. Good luck! Happy gardening 👩🏽🌾 ❤️

Hi from France
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like that it's a bush, do you give seeds away, if so I would like some.
Thanks for the comment..🙂
Sorry I do not give out seeds..
like other navels, cara cara is a mostly seedless, self-sterile orange.
What a weird comment
I am from Bangladesh, can I get your cara cara seedlings?
👍♥️🇺🇸
How does it compare to a Washington navil 🍊
Hello.
In my opinion the CaraCara is way more flavorful, and sweeter . Than the Washington .
When do you start harvesting for the best taste?
Early to mid December in grow zone 10B. is when my tree produces a great taste..
I’m not sure if it’s different for different grow zones areas
@@p-treegardening8366 Thank you. I'm in zone 9b.
