The same radio is used on the Losi LMT. I really like the battery monitor as it takes the guess work out of a run.
Joe, love the Honcho...I have one just like it. I only use my Honcho for rock crawling and it's fantastic going vertical but is clearly disadvantaged by the high CG on the sidehills. I've run dozens and dozens of 3S 5000Mah batteries through the stock electronics and I have no complaints at all. Now, it's not a Fusion Pro smooth, but it's good enough for me. Your planned upgrades are perfect for overall performance while crawling or trailing.
What I don;t understand is, why does the manual only state 2 and 3S compatibility, but both can and ESC support 4S?
I'd rather run this as 4S due to already having the batteries, but the higher voltage is more efficient and less watts required.
I only want it to walk the dog with, something with a bit of pep to get her running too.
I like the SCX 6 especially in the Honcho body...looks like it's a little heavy in the front...lol....but usually it's not jumping much, and it's a crawler so needs the weight up front....great vid as usual 💯
in Australia with a couple batteries your looking at $2,000 AUD - just a bit much considering thats almost the same cost as an XRT give or take $200, nice truck though I wish there where more of a variety like F-150 or a Unimog in the same size . cheers Joe & guys in the US. ,UK,& OZ

Seing the battery power on the controller is pretty great. I would recommend using the Spektrum DX5 Rugged instead of the included controller. It allows you to see all the telemetry (including battery power), and it gives you way more versatility for making fine adjustments.
Or you can use the B2000 on the dx3 to save some coin
I can't believe the need to upgrade such and expensive truck! if it was a tenth of the starting price, who cares.... but this should have no flex and no issues 👍🍺🇬🇧
Nice! Hahaha was awesome to see that 25lb pig of a rig fly! Ive used my honcho to tow my daughter around on a skidoo sled. Have a video of it towing a tiny human around on my channel 🤣 The Honcho is a beast.

I was also surprised by this comment because in my opinion this motor and esc have a ton to offer. It's capable of towing a real life SUV for goodness sakes! No, it does not move as fast as a Kraton but no crawler does. This is actually the fastest of all the trail trucks/Crawlers and there is the ability to increase the pinion size as well to increase speed.
My favorite truck in my collection! The NSDRC servo is looking like my next purchase for it! I have a hard time keeping it out of the mud but it's so much fun! Check out my last video if you have a minute.

Got a scx6 not long ago and I only had 4s batteries, definitely the way to go plenty of speed but I like castle and kinda wanna try it, is it worth it for crawling and speed?
I just got mine stock coming soon I ordered 4s battery’s is that fine I heard it’s ok but recommended 3s ..?
Just curious, did you have to install your steering bracket and extra screw to panhard fix?
Try putting a max 8 g2 censored esc in I think it has the same censor lead on it to plug into that motor if not I'd like to know 😂

Yeah it would work fine, you will just be able to drive for 4 days with no breaks
Days with no breaks ey? Well I hope the batteries don't put too much stress on stock servos esc etc. I'm just starting with crawlers so learning as I go, I intend to tour around more than crawl or bash.
