Factory bec is set at 6 volts turn it up to 7.4
Make sure you use the v2 programming card to make that esc work better
He will change it all out to a somewhat unattainable level for most.... stock esc will be gone. No one ever does simple mods or shows how to get more out of these things without basically rebuilding them completely

Upgraded my Honcho servo and foams and switched esc to 7.4. Have driven many hours now on some knarly stuff with no issues. A dig function would make this beast perfect!

I like the color of that body over the tan one, but it needs a darker backing on the inside. I’ve got to get my hands on one and do wheels and tires and a stronger servo and I think it would be good to go.
I put three brother anti foams in mine and it made the tires work so much better. Better steering and stronger side walls.
Just got a used scx6 Jeep about 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it! The servo is horrendous though 😂 Waiting on the rs2500 to become available again. That scx6x6 is going to be awesome when you get it together! Seen one on a Facebook group a while back. Guy had 2 chassis connected, a 2nd trans, motor, and esc to power the 3rd axle. You already have a spare chassis, all you need is another transmission, motor/esc, and a set of shocks.
I just know as soon as I save enough to get a scx6 they will finally release the 6th scale capra and thats what I really want. Seems like servo and wheel/tire combo would make a big difference with that Honcho, cant wait to see this 6x6 rig

loved the video, got mine a few weeks ago after watching a couple of your SCX6 vids. I'm using 4S too as shown on your separate video. I'm just curious though on how do you record these vids. Do you use left hand to transmitter and rt hand handheld? Or you mounted it?
Next show..... I changed out the esc, motor, servos, and tires. Added weights.... Just minor changes.. oh yeah and complete Vitavon haul over. Just small things.

As you already know, metal C-hubs and bearing carriers, metal shock towers, servo and foams. Those are mandatory imho. Everything else is preference, not performance related. When I say performance, I mean trailing and rock crawling.
Metal shock towers? Are they that flimsy stock? I’d hate to add weight that high up if I don’t need to
@Hearthstoned they don't weigh much at all but add considerable rigidity for the panhard bar. Metal c-hubs will provide a metal attachment point for the lower end of the panhard bar. I have heavy metal beadlocks, shock towers, c-hubs and bearing carriers. The rig weighs 27.5 pounds but climbs as good or better than new.
The Shift RCS 1/5 servo is probably the best value
May I ask why this particular model ? I am runnig the NSDRC RS2500 V2 and I have to say this is a monster ...
@@harald_hans both look like great options. The NSDRC is $249 and the Shift RCS is $299. Holmes is $249 too. We are lucky there’s a lot of good options

I thought I wanted one of these until I saw one in real life and it’s just way to big . The xmaxx and 8s are cool but way to big to carry around and this is the same . Just my opinion
These are big and you really don't want it to break and have to carry it
