Why Do people buy crap
So losers like you have something worth waking up for in the morning to complain about…
😂@@AutoAuctionRebuilds
Good job Randy. I think you are correct. Probably more like 80,000 miles and it has a swapped cluster. 👍
Yea bro Its not like buddy isn’t a mechanic thats been fixing and flipping cars of all types for his whole dam life…building a reputation reputable enough for near half a million subs. But thats not the obvious and you’re definitely not a donkey.
If you don't like the cars then don't watch simple as that. I enjoy the cars Randy buys.
Had a car with a blown motor shipped from california the transport guy tried to jump it meanwhile the oil pan was sitting in the trunk😂
Funny
I worked at a Ford Dealer 30mins north of Spring Hill 20 years ago and I’m pretty sure I’ve serviced this car before. The whole time watching this I remember a 92 Aero white on red in perfect condition that would come in with a Flammer Ford decal on it. As rare as they are and to see this now in OK on a UA-cam channel I watch gives me goosebumps.
Dude that is awesome I guarantee you it’s the same car how many of these are still running around out there?
@@AutoAuctionRebuildshey Randy it’s me again is it a p71 or no
freaking awesome👍🏻
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds that year white with red interior, I’ve not seen another since then so I would image not that many. I’ve seen a couple with blue interior way back then, not now of course but red there was only the one. If that’s the same car, I’m very happy to see it still going strong and still in good shape. Glad the rtard delivery driver didn’t ruin it.
So rare to see these early 90s Panthers today. Gotta love that red velour interior! It was an interesting time, when the exterior looked modern but the interior was definitely a throwback to old school American luxury. These are great cars.... when they haven't been flooded!
Wine interior 😂they called it
Crank or cam signal missing, that part on the fender well is the ICM. If it runs with the SPOUT disconnected, it's usually a bad module. Its the equivalent of blocking off the vacuum advance on a distributor. So it is gonna run with base timing only. Swapping ICM will probably fix it
The crank signal should be there because the EDIS module will independently signal the coil packs with just a crank signal. Spark timing is adjusted by the ECU through the SPOUT, so leaving it unplugged has the EDIS at base timing like you mentioned, but the ECU has no idea, so it adjusts the injector timing that is no longer in sync with the spark and runs poorly. I bet you're right that something like the cam sensor or another module is bad, giving an implausible signal to the ECU that kills it.
you gotta keep this car dude, from the red interior to the package, and the low mileage, this has got to be a staple in the collection for years to come, and not only that, you might never find another panther like this again, aero vics are pretty hard to find from the start, but this many miles is even harder, for sure a keep!
He won't
circulating water in the engine is a BAD idea - at least you documented it
Always a good time when you and Monkey Wrench Mike get together!
I love the Crown Victoria, early model aero Vic's were so cool.
That’s a police interceptor cluster it says Certified Calibration on the speedo. So the cluster has been swapped.
Or if it's a police interceptor and a detective vehicle, it probably spent a lot of time idling and that could explain the engine wear and tear with low mileage.
Your right, it is a police cluster, but I don't think it's a police car. the cluster has probably been swapped as the 92 cluster only reads to 85MPH. Look for P72 in the VIN to know for sure.
@@jjstein1976ableyup only way that cluster is of to the car if it was a detective vehicle even then I don’t think they came with cloth seats definitely not that color definitely had a cluster swap and probably the ecu also
I was thinking the same, police cruiser.
I was just about to say that
Is that loader trying to injure you? He should’ve gotten in your car and did this it’s his job. That guy is crazy Randy
You're correct. it's obviously more than 11k miles. The cluster has most likely been replaced or modified, you can tell by the broken bezel on the dash trim piece from when the person clumsily removed it. Love Panthers. Good to see more on the channel!
These were notorious for speedo failures. What's interesting is that this appears to be an LX (P74) and it has a P71 certified calibration speedo. I say it's been replaced too.
@southernfarmtech came here to say this. It's a p71 cluster. The normal cluster would have been a 85mph one.
Gotta love a Panther. That trucker was sure rude. Thanks Mike Nick and Randy
Typical euro trash
I actually have the Ford Fuel Injection book for this era LOL. This car gives the impression that it was originally like a manager's car for either a PD or FD fleet (because 140 MPH speedo and extinguisher mount) but the last owner was called Peepaw by some and kept it in his carport...
Thank God Mike showed up now it's a true goat rodeo
oh my good Lord. It takes real patience to handle people like that who don't care what happens to somebody else's property when getting it unloaded. Lord forgive me, I almost started having mean thoughts about the dude. I'm really glad you handled that with as much care as possible, Randy. Props! Props! God bless you.
I could smell the alcohol from that qt cup mike is guarding it with his life
i miss my 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis, that car was a tank, was vandalized 2 times, tree fell on it, still ran until the insurance company totaled it in 2012 due to a hit and run accident.
You guys need your own channel the Mike & Randy show 😊
When I was his age and someone asked me to drive!? That would be a hell yes! Haha 🤣
That toe person had 0 respect for you and your property. Keep up the great content randy though we love to see it! Man you and Mike are so good together
You know I don't like to get into drama and you're right it was frustrating. I'm just glad I was able to get this car at the price I did.
The Crown Victoria Touring Sedan from 1992 was the really rare one to find. Had a couple of these 92s in our taxi fleet. Great cars.
Beautiful old Crown Vic!
I had a 92 Town Car with the VERY SAME PROBLEM! And it would cut off driving right down the highway too! It's the computer under the dash on the driver side. You could giggle the wires on the fuel relay and mine would run for a while but then cut off again. I got one from the junk yard with the same numbers (I was very lucky!) Put it in and never had another problem! You can send them out for repair though! Good luck. Also, I don't think that car was flooded, I think it was that the owner couldn't figure out the problem. It took me forever to figure it out myself! Oh and the odometer is a speed sensor I believe, if not it's a wheel in the odometer in the dash which is an easy fix if you have patience.
Too much fun watching y'all. And it was totally killing seeing the big bearded dude just standing outside the car staring at y'all at the end of the video.
Can't belive you didn't nothing to stop him wow you both need it
I'm not defending the guy but maybe he didn't understand English
I want that Crown Victoria it reminds me of my first car 1990 Ford Taurus
Did I read Winter H on the windshield? That's Winter Haven, if the car was flooded in that area, it's all freshwater. Winter Haven is in Central Florida. The ocean is way far away. Edit: Looks like it may have apent alme time on the coast but it seems to be working fine.
If your Ford won't run with the spout connector plugged in, it usually means that the engine control module (ECM) is faulty and can't properly adjust the ignition timing when the connector is connected; essentially, pulling the spout essentially "bypasses" the computer's timing control, allowing the engine to run even if the timing is slightly off, but with the connector in, the computer can't correct the timing, leading to a no-start condition.
Holy shit!!! Flammer Ford of Spring Hill I grew up about 2 miles from there!!!! Me and my buddies as kids would ride our bicycles up to that dealer to look at the new models when that came out!!!
Antenna is there. Push the button!
Wow, I can’t believe the transport driver would do that. What an asshole. Anyway, beautiful Crown Vic, the 92-97 “aero” Vics have always been my favorite generation of Crown Vic
Randy should have done more. Possible say to him STOP!!!
I bet that it might've been parked on an inclined Driveway, with the back half being partially underwater? Because that interior is 10X better than any of the other flood cars you have gotten the past 2 months.....
Randy: That’s faster than me!
Mike: Yeh 2 minutes later
Yall are hilarious🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My dad bought me a 97’ aero grand Marquis for my first car. Sold her three years ago and wish I never did. It was the best first car I could’ve ever asked for and had it for nearly five years. I want another one so bad it was the most comfortable, smooth riding, quiet car ever. You couldn’t tell when it shifted, you could barely feel bumps it was amazing and I took good care of it. You’ll absolutely fall in love with yours Randy.
I had a 92 Lincoln Executive Series and the only difference was it didn't have that grill, and mine had the mustang V6 in it. Mine also had a digital instrument panel. I drove that thing so long everybody called me the Lincoln Man, lol. I had to get rid if it 5 years ago because it just stopped running out of the blue and I couldn't figure it out. I really loved that car even though it was considered an old peoples car. Now that I'm old I guess it would fit me just fine, lol.
What??? If you’re talking town car the town car never had a V6 never had a different grill for the 90-97 model year. First year of the all new redesigned town car for 1990 was a 5.0 V8 then by 91 ford replaced it with the 4.6 V8.
@@91myroc The car I had was a 92 Lincoln Executive Series. It had a 3.8 Liter engine in it and was the same white color with a digital instrument panel which was all green, lol. It was a nice car, very reliable. I drove it home that night and the next day it cranked but wouldn't start. I tried everything from a fuel pump to the body control module and new relays. I finally gave up and it set for a year. Someone stopped and offered me a few hundred for it. I opened the hood and all the wiring was eaten up by mice. So I let it go. He wanted it for parts and most likely the Cats that was worth a fortune. He didn't mention the Cats and I didn't think about them. It also had new tires. My wife wanted it out of the yard, lol.
I had a 1989 Continental with a 3.8 V6, digital dash, and matched the description perfectly. If I were a betting person, I'd bet that 1992 Executive Series was a Taurus-based Continental, not a Town Car. Still a fabulous car, but cursed by its air-ride strut suspension. Expensive air-ride repairs easily totalled the once fine automobile.
@@williamj.mchale6923 Yeah it may have been based on the Taurus. Although I did go back in my photos and confirmed that it had the chrome grill between the headlights and parking lights. It also had grey leather seats and interior. The seats were thick and comfortable. I did replace the air ride with regular shocks. As you said the air ride suspension was filled with problems. Other than that the only problem I had with it was having to replace some lighting in the dash panel and I replaced the alternator once. It was a good car until it stopped running out of the blue and never ran again. It may have been the same problem Randy has. I wish I had known about it.
That interior is a time capsule and blast from the past. Even more amazing the radio still lights up. I remember a lot of these in the late 90's would not light up anymore. Hope you make a nice stack when you sell it.
Randy, this is one of the funniest videos...and not on purpose....you've had in a while. Bummer you had to deal with that transporter like that. Who's the idiot who put the "flood car" on the top in the front? That car should ALWAYS be in running condition.
You're always teaching us something. I did not know Ford gave the Crown Vic the "Taurus/Mustang" front end treatment for a year. Added it to my useless trivia for car guys pile.
If the car buying/selling gets old, you and Monkey Wrench Mike can hit the comedy circuit.
The fix is just ridiculous! HAha. Money maker for sure! Keep doing what you do!!
Randy when you had the air intake off you caused a massive vacuum leak . You forgot to add antifreeze, it was low when you checked it the first time . From the battery being disconnected it has to relearn the idol . I had this exact car and had a few odd issues but what a great car !!!
Great video Randy what’s going on Mike? Hey Nick your guys keep it up. Enjoy it. Have a blessed new year.
That speedo of 140 MPH is probably a police interceptor model. Only police interceptor comes with that speedometer.
That would also explain the fore extinguisher mounted in the trunk
Had a 93 ... same interior. Same everything but grill. Awesome reliable ran forever car.
Randy would’ve flipped him off but Randy is just chill guy now… 😂😂
lol
Love this trio! I can tell Nick really likes you Randy, and it looks like your're a great stepdad man
That 140mph speedo was pegged out a few times I bet that !! That’s a keeper those can fly with a cam intake and exhaust !
I love Santa photobombing out there, and none of them are even acknowledging him. Poor Santa.
That cluster was replaced. It’s a certified calibration dash out of a cop car. And that does not look like a P74 detective car. Car definitely does not have 11,000 miles.
The delivery guy sounds like a Bellend I wouldn't of been so calm about it
With the way Mike's laughing I doubt there's just soda in that cup of his.
Houston Texas checking in with you brother
I had a 96 crown Victoria tan color inside and out and lasted 6 years! Man I miss that car!! Love the video on this one! It’s so clean
$200 car and you and Mike have the best time filming it out of all your cars!! Love it!!
It'd honestly be cool if Randy somehow got the abandoned truck at the turnaround spot!
That’s a nice car! I’d drive it for sure.
Love these family vids with Randy ,Nik,and grandpa Mike. 😅
This is a nice car. I got a feeling it’s a gem when you posted it Randy. I know you don’t keep these cars usually but I think it would be great to keep it if you can. I get the feeling it’s gonna be worth something soon. Supposedly ford is bringing the crown Victoria back but it’s one of those things where it may change or not be as good as the originals. There is always some degree of nostalgia and it tends to be more attractive to own the original than the new and “improved” version. I’d drive this all day long if I want a ride share driver full time. Keep up the great work and who cares what the haters say. We love you brother.
I'm not sure if you caught this or not, but certified calibration under the miles says it's an old cop car. Most likely a detective vehicle. Side note : the instrument cluster is from a waaaaaay newer (1999-2011 I'm thinking.)
That cluster was used until 2005, 2006-2011(12) had the digital odometer.
nope 06 to 11 had a tach in the cluster and was entirely different that is a old cluster they had issues i remember my dad had one that we drove without the odometer working till it got turned into a demo derby car
I had a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria LX. Maroon with tan leather interior, digital dash, air ride, power everything and dressed up with nearly every option available at the time. Of the 40+ cars that I have owned, I miss that one more than most of the ones I have sold.
I love watching your channel and learning more about cars and working on them it’s helped with the 3 cars i’ve owned
I really like that old Ford, we don't get any cool cars like that here in the UK!!!
I’m also a Mike and my uncle use to tell me “if you didn’t have bad luck you’d have no luck at all” too! And I never forgot that! So funny.
My Grandma had a light gray with red interior like that. I asked her for it, but she gave it to my cousin who wrecked it. Still my favorite Crown Victoria design of the panther platform.
The 1987 through 96 Ford computers have failure prone electrolytic capacitors onboard.
They're all through hole components so they're fairly easy to replace.
The green pus on that ECM connector isn't a good sign either
Your gonna hit 500k subs before Winters over for Sure!!!
A younger co-worker has a 92 but it's definitely not in nearly as good shape body wise.
The salt (and potash) haven't been kind to the front and rear fenders but being BOF it's still rolling down the road reliably all these years later.
I noticed the car hauler wasn’t licensed properly. Had a personal registration on the trailer, typical Floridian hauler. Trash hauler.
Good observation
Hey man don't be hating on Florida. I live down here.45 min from Tampa and St petersburg
Santa standing off to the side 😂
@@jennaemullins7612isnt that the really bad part? Ive been to ft myers and oh my goodness it has alot of usual suspects
I dont live down that far im in Central Florida@elgeneralxx
This video is proof that Santa knows what you're doing.
Very nice 1992 Ford Crown Victoria by so very far.
Been anxiously waiting for this one
Love these early aero Crown Victorias. I wonder if its something crank or cam related going on. These years of Crown Vic are becoming so rare to find anymore. Interior looks sweet as well. Nice find Randy I would run a Carfax on it as well.
Go tell him no to start it instead of standing there watching him 😂
Yes exactly was I what I thinking... yet minutes after it's off the truck he's trying to start it lol.
@ lol I said the same thing I didn’t understand what was going on
At like 85 or 90 mph that cars AC shuts off .
Just a tid bit
Lmoa Randy I had to laugh...: LITERALLY NO PHUUKS GIVIN !!!!!
Poor Santa. WATITING IN THE DISTANCE.
Idea i had is get some long ropes, for cars that need pullled off (trailer can just drive slowly forward whilst and/or pull with another car on other end) you have trees around you can tie ropes to. Also to pull a car into the garage can use those ropes with a hoist block anchored to the backwall. Thats a nice Crown vic man. hi5
I love the 92' Crown Vic its so good, I would love to see more vids about this vehicle
I worked at a repo lot a few years ago and I had one transporter that would do this very same method to pull a non running car up his trailer ramps. When you don't have a winch it will work.
I’m watching the tow truck driver trying to start the car, it’s literally your only hurricane flood car with a working starter. Of course😂
I have always liked that body style of crown Vic
Even as its not a p71, it's a crown vic and that means a lot and also I see one of those every time I head out, in the same place, same color as this one and everything, I hope you fix up that baby and maybe even keep er cuz they crush a lot of them, even now as its rare
That’s a beautiful car! Great to see it saved!
I remember watching this one before.. well some parts you re played atleast lol
That spout puts in base timing for checking the timing . I would look toward the ingition control module
Check under the seats. If the seat springs are clean, it’s good chance it was not flooded. The seats hold moisture, so if it did flood and then detailed, the seat springs would have rust.
Awesome Randy for a bit I wasn’t to sure if you was going to actually go anywhere in the car man but it beat all expectations man brilliantly done!.👌👌👍👍👍
Last no spark issue I had on a modular motor was the crank sensor plug by the AC compressor. Just unplugged it, sprayed cleaner in it, plugged it back in and it started right up.
I love the red interior!!!!
Must be a older person that own this car. I saw the old compass that we have back in the days. Nice score Randy. Glad to see you, Monkey wrench Mike and Nick on this video., 😎😎👍👍
My question is how did they get the car on the top of the hauler in the first place?
I see Santa's workshop out there
Got to get Nick in to buying cars and show him the ropes Randy.
Mikes face was great , I love starting fluid lol
Was that Santa Claus lurking around in the background at the end of the video?
Good job boys have a great day Mike fixed it hahaha ??????
Speedo has been replaced with a Certified Calibration Speedometer. Mileage has been adjusted when it was installed ! I did the same thing with my 92 Vic !!!😊
Love 92s nice cars i wouldn't check the backseat though😅
Everyone knows you can't trust a 90s ford odometer, my 93 cougar has had 50696 miles for the last 7 years
My 97 f150 has had 135k the last 7 years 😂
Agree you need a car fax report
My grandparents used to have a 1992 crown Vic with the interior looking exactly like this one and it was a red exterior. The car had around 300k on it after they passed and they bought the car band new.
When I ran tow truck, I’ve been called a few times to help get non runners off a carrier.
