Factory has a sealed box vs this design with some rubber around the edge,... How well does this seal and not let in hot air from the engine compartment?
This Cold Air Intake kit is made specifically for 2016-2020 Tacomas with the 3.5L V6, I can't guarantee fitment for any other applications unfortunately. -Zach

Steven Jackson you’re supposed to smog the vehicle after 5 years I think. In my county you never smog unless you sell the vehicle it all depends where you live
You're likely going to see gains of roughly 5-10 horsepower that you'll feel at the higher end of your RPM band. You'll also feel a bit more throttle response because of the bigger filter as well! -Zach

You spelled hot air intake wrong. With the open box it’s just going to suck in hot air from the engine bay.

Can you still put a second battery OR a air compressor behind the new cold intake
Just installed one on my 2018 taco sr5. Will a simple reset of the battery fix the CEL that comes on after install?

This cold air intake may improve your gas mileage slightly if you don't stomp on things too hard! Otherwise, it won't negatively effect it. -Zach

Without the resonator this thing is loud beyond annoying. It will explode your head. Wa..Wa...Wa....Bork...Bork Bork!!! all day long.
