If you wanted some portable storage options, I was using the Samsung T7 amzn.to/3LazBMR
If you want to save some money, this Samsung Flash Drive has been surprisingly fast and reliable amzn.to/3Lfhoh6
Just make sure you format your drives to APFS or you will not be able to get the full advertised speeds of the drives. If you need the drive to also work with windows, you would need to format it to exFAT but you may experience slightly slower transfer speeds on your iPad.

128 gb really should be the minimum. I have the 64 gb and I always have to be mindful of how many things I can save there (photo references mainly, plus the art works I made). If you aren't looking, you can easily end up maxing out the storage capability. 😅

Yeh, 64GB is typically something people may need to manage. I would still recommend exporting everything you dont need at hand just in case something were to happen to your iPad.
