I love the fact that we get every crewmate have a face detailed except Jimmy and all of the cremates being coloured in white and Jimmy as this black mass that dosent radiate any light of its own. "we are all a bunch of animals that never paid attention in school" like that fits daisuke so well he looks so scared, doesnt pay attention to his gut instinct that its the worst choice because jimmy led him to his death like an absolute idiot.... + that "youre so cool" part. god i love how jimmy becomes such an out of control little freak by the end of it. starting off as some kind of unfeeling unkillable monster that knows what hes doing but by the end his pathetic, impulsive, and omnicidal destructiveness are on full display. it kind of mirrors how curly sees him, seeing the bad things jimmy does as some kind of shadowy figure that isnt really a person or even the jimmy he knows, but both his personality and his violence becoming one in the same, not a cold, calculated killer and abuser, but a selfish asshole who is completely out of control. going to watch this 500 times

This is, without exaggeration, the literal best thing for this fandom I have ever seen. The limited color palette? The strong silhouettes for every character (especially Anya oh my god the way the long hair frames her in every shot holy SHIT)? The framing of all the shots and how goddamn cinematic everything is? The music choice with the timing and pacing of everything? The LETTERING OH MY GOD THE HAND LETTERING. The way the words squish together and fill out the negative space, the way they flow into and past each other and how they’re framed in the actual shot (the small cramped lettering on the screen during that one shot of I think the medical bay and the entire section during the bridge where words were being crammed into the sillohettes of Anya and jimmy at the end? And the shot of curly in the cryopod where the words literally feel like they’re squeezing him in? Good yes so very good I love it). I actually adore the lettering in this most.Goddamnit this is SO good I know there’s more to say but words are eluding me right now. Absolutely brilliant, one of the best things I’ve seen.
I like how you don't really draw Anya. Yeah, you draw her, but not to the full extent of the others and I think that's a nice detail to have to show that Jimmy felt no remorse for what he did to her, especially when you consider his guilt sequence in the game where Anya's name tag is very obscured compared to Swansea's and Daisuke's
i love this so so much but i especially love how at 3:54 you gave jimmy a weird tenderness as he puts curly in the pod, given his strange obsession with responsibility, being "the good guy", and with curly + curly's role
I feel so bad for everyone in this game (expect....tw....jimbo obv) but i especially hated seeing daisuke and anya die. They seemed young, especially daisuke, and really couldve went far. Daisuke, though being a bit naive, seemed to really enjoy working with mechanics, even if he was forced to do it. Anya was actually a great nurse, mangaing to keep curly alive for 5 monthes. They both couldve made it big in life, successful, and happy, but jimbo and his selfish ways prevented that, killing them off. And do NOT get me started on Daisukes and Swanseas relationship unless u want me to cry. I loved the "Ur so cool part", i think it shows that Daisuke really wanted to actually learn from Swansea, and i think that also translates into him trusting..what was it..jay...jackson..jason? Oh my god. As an autistic person with a huge love for analyzing, parallelism, and mouthwashing, this video is absolutely beautiful. Every frame, every detail, everything has so much work and thought put into it and it SHOWS! Two of my fave details are the different colors for each of the characters and the black square on Jimmy's face when Anya was talking to him representing the dead pixel, I've never seen anyone portray that before!

I like how you don't really draw Anya. Yeah, you draw her, but not to the full extent of the others and I think that's a nice detail to have to show that Jimmy felt no remorse for what he did to her, especially when you consider his guilt sequence in the game where Anya's name tag is very obscured compared to Swansea's and Daisuke's
i love this so so much but i especially love how at 3:54 you gave jimmy a weird tenderness as he puts curly in the pod, given his strange obsession with responsibility, being "the good guy", and with curly + curly's role

I feel so bad for everyone in this game (expect....tw....jimbo obv) but i especially hated seeing daisuke and anya die. They seemed young, especially daisuke, and really couldve went far. Daisuke, though being a bit naive, seemed to really enjoy working with mechanics, even if he was forced to do it. Anya was actually a great nurse, mangaing to keep curly alive for 5 monthes. They both couldve made it big in life, successful, and happy, but jimbo and his selfish ways prevented that, killing them off. And do NOT get me started on Daisukes and Swanseas relationship unless u want me to cry. I loved the "Ur so cool part", i think it shows that Daisuke really wanted to actually learn from Swansea, and i think that also translates into him trusting..what was it..jay...jackson..jason? Anyway sorry for the ramble THIS IS SICK!! ljke thats it tahts the plot no need to watch an playthrough like this is just it

The colors, the way the lyrics were shown, all of it was so perfect and fit the themes of the game. The whole part of "you're so cool" between Daisuke and Swansea killed me especially 😭 Not to mention FOUR AND A HALF FULL MINUTES?? i could never have the patience and skill.
All in all, amazing animatic, i cant believe this is so underrated

Man. The "you're so cool" bit with Daisuke looking up to Swansea *hurts*. And then it goes right to Anya's corpse, Jimmy not even giving it a second thought. Excellent one-two punch of pain there.
This is genuinely one of the best Mouthwashing animatics I've seen so far (and I have seen... SO many... the autism levels are insane with this one guys). Hoooly crap, this song goes along so well with the plot; not to mention your art-style is absolutely STUNNING. Would rewatch 682 times, 11/10.

Oh my god. As an autistic person with a huge love for analyzing, parallelism, and mouthwashing, this video is absolutely beautiful. Every frame, every detail, everything has so much work and thought put into it and it SHOWS!
Two of my fave details are the different colors for each of the characters and the black square on Jimmy's face when Anya was talking to him representing the dead pixel, I've never seen anyone portray that before!

i first watched this like a week ago now, but i was so blown away by it that i decided i was simply not in a state to write a comment that did my feelings justice. ive watched it like a LOT since then so i think im normal enough now to Sort of cohesively put my thoughts together so buckle up or whatever:

AND I WILL DIE IN THIS PLACE??? do u want me dead. like ummm. holy shit
im Such a big fan of how u drew the scene with swansea daisuke and jimmy like the expressions are so.. so good. daisukes face as he enters the vent.. jimmy staring and swansea but his eye is just the fucking pixel. sooo. crazy. i swear to god daisukes death scene is like some of the coolest shit ever its HEARTBREAKING. the shots of them being happy followed by swansea having to kill him with the fucking axe as the music picks up is incredible. jimmys reaction is so Visceral and perfect. him turning away to throw up. people always leave out how like. HORRIFIED jimmy was by his death. and i think its so important to get right. the immediate contrast of seeing anyas body and him leaving her in his shadow like he did earlier? brushing right past her?? god. the way he looks so fucking elated when he finally gets the gun. curlys “and i will die in this place” just like anya earlier because he now has to deal with the loss of autonomy just like she did and the way they parallel each other.
theyll never take me alive Is SO jimmy as well. i love that u make his pupils square… like thats so smart. i love that we never really get a full view of pre-crash curlys face just like we dont with jimmy. it makes him seem just as sort of.. mysterious? narrative haunting? as he is in the game. someone jimmy puts extra emphasis on. him getting “and im still here” because he IS and thats EXACTLY what jimmys just now realizing!!! ugh!! the party scene is so. so well done. jimmys fucking EXPRESSION. DESPERATELY trying to keep it together like this is fine this is fine. he just murdered nearly his entire crew (directly and indirectly) and hes loosing his fucking marbles… i love seeing people acknowledge how. genuinely crazy this guy is. like he isnt some cartoon supervillain hes deeply violent and dangerous and HUMAN. hes actively loosing his mind and hallucinating because his brain is trying to block out the true horror of the shit hes doing in order to keep him from having to face it.
the way u set up each character and their stories is so well done that the shots of them all laying dead in the chair genuinely makes me so very upset and considering how long ive spent thinking of these guys and their fates its a!! pretty big feat to make me feel those emotions all over again without just having me replay the whole thing again lol. the look that jimmy gives curly as he puts him in the cryo pod. curlys expression. yeah its peak
tldr your art style is amazing your expressions your designs your colors and posing and Everything.. its just so so clear that you GET it and that there was so much thought put into each frame. theres more i could say but i hate to absolutely clog your comments this much already. thank you so much for this its awesome.
