True, but school's suck at that!
I'm a Teacher's Assistant for a teacher I had for a semester of credit recovery and so the next semester I became her TA for her first class. She knew about my getting to school late so I'd come in and help her during lunch almost everyday of the week to make up for not being there early. She's super nice and I don't understand how some kids can be real assholes and treat other people awful (but then again, if you've been hurt then you learn to defend yourself). This happened recently and I will forever be haunted by what could've happened had I not walked in on time.
So, I got lunch and was walking to her class (she always has her door open, but after this she keeps it locked, so I knock now) when I see 2 girls outside her class. I didn't think much of it until I walk in, set my food down, and then I look up to see some bitch (mind you, I'm a girl) all up in my teacher friend's face. It all happened so fast: My teacher was already dialing campus security and this girl (and her friends outside the door) run, down the hall, and dissapear out of sight. I quickly go over to my teacher to see if she's ok. She is, just a little shaken up. She tells me what happened: A student in her class was acting up again and so she sent him to the office. Some girl (with the other 2 side hoes), apperently the student's friend, was pissed that my teacher got her friend in trouble. So, she goes to the class and starts cussing her out. My teacher is almost always grading papers or just talking with me. So, she's trapped in a corner of the room, with no where to run if this little bitch made a move to beat her up (I bet she could've 'cause my teacher showed me her records and this girl is problematic, has done shit before, AND has beat up her grandma). Security comes in and my teacher tells them her side of the story and then I tell them what I saw (one of the girls, stupid obviously, was recording when I walked in; I described the girls, including the one who was in the classroom; and I tell them where they went). They leave and I stay by my teacher's side and we talk as she files a report. I'm super pissed and I don't eat my lunch 'till my next class (I'm worked up and I was really looking forward to my cheeseburger and fries). We discuss the school system and how it sucks ass at disciplining kids like the girl. We pray, and I walk with her to her next class.
I get to my next class (Art) and instead of smiling when I walk in through the door I'm frowning and I walk over to my seat. I sit down and the guy next to me sees the state I'm in and asks me if I'm alright. For the whole class period I'm raving about those bitches (I found out the next day that they caught them shortly after, but their "punishment" wasn't enough, in my opinion) and what they had the audacity to do to a super nice teacher who cares about her students. He listens and we talk as I eat my cold, flavorless lunch. The next day and the weeks after I go to my teacher's classroom and I do my regular work as we talk and/or I eat my lunch. I'm SO glad she's ok and that I (thank God) walked in on that bitch threatening her, but I will never forget the feeling of relief I felt when I realized I stopped a possible catastrophe. This happened about 2 months ago. My last year of high school is gonna be memorable as hell.
For anyone who made it this far, thank you. Hopefully, people get help and less shit like this happens. God bless y'all. Peace and love.

It's to do with the IT mindset, which is a non-physically demanding application of the tradesman mindset. Most jobs in IT, especially cyber security involve understanding how stuff goes together so you can make something better, or exploit a flaw. Most of the IT professionals I've met have hobbies that are constructive or creative like carpentry, model making or artistic work.

The most chaotic good thing I saw was from a friend of mine. She had another good friend at work who was being harassed by her abusive ex-boyfriend who worked identical shifts, and she was getting very miserable. This was in the summer, so there were a lot of birds and such around, so my friend hatched a plan. On one of her days of that she knew said friend and their ex would be working, she drove up to the office after lunch break with a loaf of bread. There is a decent amount of seagulls around, so she starts putting pieces on bread on the guys windshield. Now, one thing about seagulls, they tend to poop within a couple minutes of eating. Sure enough, the gulls came down and started eating the bread, so she started taking off pieces and tossing it at the car. On the roof, hood, and windshield. She did that until the entire loaf was gone, and sure enough, they started shitting on the guy's car. She hid in her car with a pair of binoculars to see the guy's reaction when he got off work, and boy was he confused and angry. This was a new car, and he was going to go drinking with his friends after work, so you can imagine his dismay to seeing the front of his shiny new car covered in hot stinking bird shit.
She even sent me pictures and picked up her friend from work, they guy didn't come in for the next couple of days because he was cleaning his car and trying to figure out who did it, and he ended up getting fired another couple of days later.

(Died of old age) He's tied to a roofed swing all day on a (big outdoor space on the 3rd flr. Dunno what to call it) given food and water 2x a day. He only went outside, _real_ outside this one time I brought him out. He's big tho and jumps at basically anything that moves so there was no repeat. I grew up kitty-corner to some folks with big hunting dogs that were almost always in a dark, tiny pen in the backyard. I felt really bad for them, though they seemed well-fed and cared for otherwise.
I help run a kennel now and I can't even begin to tell you how many people we run into who have no idea how to take care of a dog. Little yappers that've been allowed to become violent psychos because they're the owner's precious babies. Long-haired dogs allowed to become almost a solid lump of mats because the owners can't be sussed to get the dog groomed more than once a year. Cases of the owner saying that the dog has various problems, like food aggression, with *zero* indication of that while boarding here. *Actual* cases of food aggression with the dog trying to kill his neighbors for eating their own food. The list goes on.
Thankfully, as we're out in the country, we rarely see cases of dogs not having enough room to run around.

Whenever I go with my mom and we see old people selling things like street foods or chips that clearly looks too heavy for them to bring, my mom always gave me 10 dollars (in my country, it's a hell lot of money) and told me to give it to them, but always pretend to buy, then pay it with that money and refuse the change. Those old peoples are usually still working because their child are also in the same poor condition as them or their child are out of the city, so they have to sell things in order to pay bills, eat, etc. So far I've never seen one that accepted the money without buying their products, but if I buy something and refuse the change (altho they'd still force me to take the change) then they'll graciously take it and I'll offer a hug to them because who knows that's what they also need. My mom told me to do it so she won't take the credit, and it taught me to act kind for the sake of other person, not for our own credibility. Now I do the same to my friends and brothers, like giving them money then ask them to give it to people in need, or sometimes just do anonymous donations. I'm not well off, but I believe in karma

I went to Chuck E. Cheese one last time and got a bunch of tickets. So I go to get a prize and behind me are a few girls who want a gum ball machine, but only have like 200 points in total and can’t ( despite their confidence that they could) so the first thing I do is get that gum ball machine and then a few lollipops. I pocket the lollipops and then just hand the girls the gum ball machine. Everybody, even the cashier that looked like she hated her job, was speechless. I then just left while throwing the peace sign. My mom, who was behind me told me that their faces were exactly how you’d expect if some fat kid wearing a bunch of goth clothing just handed you the the thing you wanted the most at a prize booth. The cashier even changed her attitude and tone

Not exactly. In my point of view, the world doesn't need more punishiment, it needs more education.
No doubt the man threatening the woman worked out, but it wasn't the best way to abort the situation. Actually, that situation shouldn't have been happening at all.
This type of behaviour should have been prevented, by people teaching etycal and moral values, in order to conscientize people about what violence, lack of empathy for others, etc can cause.
The man temporarily corrected the issue, but who knows she won't hit her child again?
Such a complex problem can't be correct so easily, as it suggests a broken family structure, in which the mom probably was also raised in.
This in fact, gets much deeper. Knowing as a fact that she's not the only one like this in the world, we can safely say that the human society, in general, is just as broken.
People like him help out a bit, but it doesn't change things significantly.

    • @eaglefan2569

Punishment and suffering beget more punishment and suffering. She should definitely clean up her act, be responsible, and get educated, but, more often than not, inflicting pain on someone for whatever intent tends to cause the victim (whether they deserved it or not) to reciprocate such actions elsewhere. Just because someone did something terrible doesn't mean that violence is a perfect solution. It's revenge, yes, but negativity breeds negativity. Being violent with someone, degrading, punishmental, and other unsatisfactory things tend to worsen the problem, not fix it. In this woman's particular case, what the OP did was the best form of non-violent punishment they could give to her; by taking Mia out of that situation, so that the dog could no longer suffer and the woman could no longer do such a thing to her. Hopefully it'll get her to learn to take better care of animals, or never get anymore.

And for some reason T told him mom. And she asked T where I lived, he didn't tell her. But the next morning I went to school and T brought his lunch. @@RandomnessGirl309 if they're not poor enough for food stamps, or even if they ARE poor enough for them, healthy food is still the cheapest you can buy.
Also, I'm not sure where you are from or what your upbringing is, but it's incredibly naive to think that neglectful parents don't send their children to school. Of course they do.

When I was a Sophomore in Highschool, my Junior year friend (I'll call her Lily) started dating a college guy. I told her straight up that it was a bad idea, cuz usually college guys only want highschool girls, because they can't get a college girl. She brushed me off like I knew she would. Like 3 months later lo and behold, she breaks up with him for being incredibly clingy and not understanding personal space.
This guy refused to accept these reasons and convinced himself that she was in some kind of trouble because "she's not that kind of person." He kept sending her walls of text: begging Lily to tell him the truth, promising to change, saying how much he loved her, etc. It got to the point where he started befriending our friends over Facebook, and asking them if Lily told them why she dumped him, what was really going on, would you talk to her and vouch for me, etc. Mind you, this all happened within a day of the break up. By the end of lunch, one of our friends was so pissed off, that she grabbed Lily's phone and told him to f*ck off.
This, of course, lead him to get incredibly angry, and he started accusing her of leading him on. He continued to message our friends and started talking about what a horrible person Lily was, and how she broke his heart, and other melodramatic sh*t. At this point I'm pissed off, and also a little scared for Lily, cuz an emotional angry ex-boyfriend spells danger. I message him and tell him if he doesn't leave everyone alone I'd go to the police and have him arrested for harassment. He tries to defend himself, I make it very clear that I don't care for any of his bullshit.
He ignores me, because of course he does. So I make Lily come with me to the police. She doesn't like causing trouble of any kind for any reasons, and would rather not get the police involved, but I convinced her this is a safety concern she shouldn't take lightly. So we go to the police station, head straight to the counter. We show an officer the texts, explain the situation, and she agrees that this is serious enough to look into. Lily gives her the guy's address, and we decide that (for now) we simply want to give him a warning. By the next day the ex had unfriended all of us, and apologized to Lily for making us all uncomfortable. He'd still gush praise and compliments on her posts from time to time, but after a month or so he faded away.
Lily's currently dating the middle school friend we'd been telling her to go out with the whole time. It will be there 3rd anniversary in about a month.
I doubt this counts as "chaotic" good, but I still wanted to share.

This reminds me of something my sister told me. She was grocery shopping with my mom, already on the line to pay for all the things, when they heard a little girl with her parents behind them. The little girl had a pack of cookies in her hands, and asked their parents if they she could have the cookies. Apparently, another time they were grocery shopping the girl wanted cookies but the parents told her “next time”, if she behaved. But the parents said no, that they were gonna buy something else instead (like alcohol or something like that, for themselves).
The girl looked sad, but she put the cookies back. My mom felt bad, and asked the girl how much the cookies were. Mind you, they were 1 dollar (kind of, we don’t use dollars). My mom then bought the cookies with the rest of the groceries, and gave them to the girl. She was happy, her parents not so much.

One time when I was a teenager at a summer camp. I had just a few weeks ago bought a really powerful super soaker(CPS 1000 I think) that had just come to market. I got to the park area and saw some younger kids play with their more normal-sized squirt guns. I noticed 2 or 3 kids about age 9 or 10, ganging up on this one boy who was maybe 5. The boy ran away from the others in tears, and just crumpled onto the ground about ten feet from me. He was being picked on, outnumbered, outgunned and not having a good time. I took one look back up at the other kids, then looked back down to the 5 year old. I walked up to him, handed him the fully filled, completely pumped, and ready-to-shoot super-soaker, and said, "go get'em!".
I've never seen a kid go from crying in absolute helpless depression to a fierce, toothy grin of sweet revenge so fast in my life. Now, keep in mind, this gun was about as big as his leg, and way out-classed anything else in the entire camp. As the boy turned to the other kids, I saw their smiles of smug superiority instantly evaporate into a look of "OH SHI-" and took off running back the other way.
One of the absolute best moments of my life right there...I wish someone had been recording.

    My chaotic good story:
I was a supervisor in a group home for adults with profound mental disabilities. I knew one of my workers was abusive and it boiled my blood because no one believed me or anyone that tried to tell on her. (90% of all assisted living homes have at LEAST 1 abuser, not just mentally handicapped homes either)
I had had it one day with her hitting someone RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! She had gotten away with it so many times before, she had the stones to be honest about her cruelty now.
I came at her with full force, and we fought. I'm not big so it was a draw... no one won really. But I kept her away from him. He was laughing the whole time.
An incident report was filed and I lost my job. But so did she. If that's what I had to do to get her fired so be it.
    Worth it.

With the dog story, that's what my family did too.
Our cousins had a dog named Simon and Simon was home alone constantly with no one to feed him or take him outside. My mom decided to go in the middle of the day when everyone in their household was at work and we stole Simon and brought him home. It worked out well, since we had his sister, Sally, and three other dogs named Cooper, Plaid, and Gypsy. I'm pretty sure that was one of the first times he's ever been around other dogs besides his littermates when he was young.

I got icecream sandwiches from Walmart, ate some on my walk home.
Noticed a woman with screaming snd crying kids in the back seat when she came to a crosswalk and halted. I knocked on the window, passed her four icy sammiches.
One for each kid and one for her. The dark rings under her eyes showed her fatigue... And she was a bit confused initially, but she said thanks and I waved as I went my own way.
On that same walk, I also tossed an icecream sandwich to one of my sister's friends as they passed with a smoke in their mouth. They seemed pretty pleased.
Was a good day to toss icy sammiches.
