Thank you for your info. I had made a reddit thread about this a few weeks ago...without a fix....then I noticed someone mentioned a newer update 11.1.2 fixed the issue. After updating I was still having the same issue. I'm not sure if I made so many changes after the bad update, or what happened - but your fix solved the problem no matter what!! After so many years of using Logic, I wasn't even aware you could right click the Record button, and couldn't find that "auto" monitoring setting ANYWHERE!! Thanks again!

Yeah, I saw the update apparently fixed it but I'm too afraid to check because this is working for me now and I don't wan't to go back to it not working haha! Glad I could help!

I never updated to 11.1.1 so never had the problem. When I updated to 11.1.2 it introduced this problem despite everyone saying it's fixed, and had to use this video to fix it. Thought I was going crazy!

is this a bug? the reason why there is an input monitoring option so that we could monitor our inputs even if we dont arm the record button.

I'm not sure if it's a bug now, or was a bug before up until now; but either way I miss how it used to be! At least there is this work around!
