It is better to have more than one set of ears on something important for sure but for the most part it is just another step to be learned like all the other steps in music production. So to know if you are on the right track I would say master some tracks as best you can and then send same tracks out to a professional and see how they compare. Good job on the video a day streak I probably would have said f'it a while ago, lot easier to make comments for sure🤓

All the plugins are bundled with Pro Tools Studio and Pro Tools Ultimate subscriptions etc. I might check it out for a trial period, and solid tips that could probably make my voice sound good!

I would add another element to the first mix, to help the intro and lead the tune somewhere vs. cutting it, and the other like you said you can't have too many competing parts, especially in low-end

Closet recordings I haven't done but I have seen closets bigger than rooms I have stayed in so things being relative I guess it's all in the acoustics

U didn’t talk about the dangers of using headphones with reference to hearing loss over time. U didn’t talk about the ear drums and mastering with headphones and why it’s not necessary to use headphones ? U didn’t talk about how close the headphones can be to the timpanum and the risks it poses. ? Make sense please

I would mistrust any engineer that says "don't read the manual, the only important thing is the sound", no serious engineer would advice that.

I can't read a book without falling asleep after 3-4 pagers but a manual I can read cover to cover , When I download plugins I always go back to download manuals which dont always come with a plugin download. thanks for the video ! 🤩

Exactly !! CLA-76 Has a really low release and attack and when you don't know this your results are so different

I generally before adding plugins will make a ruff ballanced mix. That in it´s self is worth more than any amount of plugs that you could add and plus, It´ll already sound better (depending on what your aiming for). And if you decide to add plugins, THINK 3D, do your editing, place movement in your songs with effects (effects as front to back relationships) AND ADD AUTOMATION ! But as you would know, this will take some time if you want your song to become special. BUT.... to do this all, and as you also know: PEOPLE DON´T WANNA HEAR THIS SHIT!!! THEY WANT QUICK RESULTS!!! Sorry to say, that while making garbage tunes are easy, sculpting on the other hand is an art form. So you wanna make some garabe tunes for your little stupid girlfriends or do you wanna get laid ?! It´s no shame in taking longer than most to mix a song but as long as you know why it´s taking so long.......know and learn your audio tools and use your brain. It won´t expode....not just yet anyway.

I love reading the plugin manuals. When you get good plugins, the better they are, the more extensive the manual is, and the more secret sauces you'll know. Reading manuals is sound designer dream
