G Wagon stiff door button fix

Does your G Wagon have a stiff push button on the exterior door? This video shows what I did to solve the problem. A failed O ring causes the door button to be difficult to push. I show how to remove and replace it and reassemble. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much for this video. The driver door 'button' on my 2012 is really hard to press. It does open the door but I feel before too long it will not work. Any thoughts? I've read (online) that cleaning or lubricating the button will help. Any suggestions other than taking the door apart and investigating the button itself?

Hello have you ever try to replace the spring in the lock mechanism without removing the door lock itself?

What is the size of the o-ring you used? Does that o-ring size work well?

I'm really not sure. I bought an oring kit that had about 30 different size orings in it.
