Your new camera captures textures, details, colors nicely. Just so you know, I binge-watch your video. It's so informative. You have given me lots of ideas.
Hi Liz your camera is great, doing justice to your amazing plants . Today I’m in love with Violet Queen & graptoveria tricolour. Thanks 😊 Now going back to watch the video again 🤣
Before was already beautiful, and now with the new camera, it's beautiful-er😍 Thank you for showing the difference between in the big pot and small. The ideal is to have both😄❤
Hi Liz, i just want to let you know how much I enjoy and appreciate your videos. Your content is excellent. I learn how to take care of these plants from you, learned the names and how good they should look in mature form. These are really what is lacking in retailers. I love my succulents, used to kill them all the time, and got very discouraged. You turned that around and inspired me to do it right. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
You are most welcome and thank you very much for such a lovely comment. I'm glad to know that my videos have been an inspiration to you. Good luck with your babies and hope you'll have fun growing them.
This is what I was talking about in my older videos. The camera just can't capture the colors I'm seeing in real life. Warts and all. Now you'll understand exactly how I feel when I get excitable. Thanks for watching Rosa and have a great week.
Thank you for showing us your gorgeous plants!! We finally had sun here in my place after 3 weeks of continuous rain and some of my succulents have dropped leaves. I was not discouraged because I know anytime soon they will be able to recover. You have helped me to be optimistic and not stress too much if I have troubles growing succulents ☺️
So glad to hear that you're finally chillaxing. I so believe that the more we stress, the more the plant dies. The ones that are neglected seems to be the ones that thrive.
♥️Nothing better than having my vanilla coffee with Liz & watching her videos. Keep up the good work. Have learned a lot but am still killing my echeverias. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but I'm not giving up. I water them & lose them, I don't water them & the leaves still get funky. I think a lot has to do with the light they receive.♥️
Sorry to hear that. I have learned very early on after killing a lot of succulents, that it all boils down to the soil mix. I practiced with the easy common ones first and progressed to the divas. Some of the common ones are the ones that have surprised me.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK ♥️Thanks Liz. I haven't repotted except for a couple. Pretty much leaving them in the pots I buy them in. I am going to try your soil mixture. Just started doing this a couple months ago & am determined to get the best of it. I'm not giving up.♥️
Hey Liz just love you, your humour and no-fuss confidence! Your chatting is wonderful. I want to buy Echeveria Culibre and Linguas to propagate and sell. Should I use your head chop method? Buying Trumpet pinky too but they are small. Wait till bigger to chop? I live on the Central Coast NSW. It's just hot the last two days. Thanks,
Echeveria Trumpet can be grown by taking pups/cuttings. They are prolific puppers but you have to wait till they grow up(mature). Culibra and Linguas when stem are long enough, can be beheaded to propagate.
wow, so beautiful plants... i am wondering how they came to be from green to yellow, red, pink, and other vibrant colors.. is it because of the cool weather? will they show color variegations too in tropical countries? 😇
Hi Ate Liz, I'm watching all the way from California USA 😍😍😍 Hello out there 👋👋👋 i have a question to ask if it's okay with you... when you started collecting succulents... did you know right away that they will color up?? Im a new plant mom of succulents 🤩 on my experience in the stores when I see succulents they are all green or green and veriegated... I admire your beautiful collections of succulents and I want mine to be colorful like what I'm seeing on your vlog.. Help ! Any advice you can share?? 😋 appreciate your beautiful lovely succulents and I mostly appreciate you for sharing it to us ❤😍🤩
When I started, I love the plants for their form and never thought that they would color up like this.....until I saw online photos. That's when my addiction really took off. Then it's a matter of researching how to grow and color them up. And as the saying goes.....the rest is history. As far as advice goes....too much info to type here....lol....so you gotta watch my videos...😉😉 Thanks for watching.
Thank you Ate Liz, it's my favorite time of mine is to watch your vlog over and over again (just like the song lol.. )and thank you for taking the time po to answers some of my curiosity 😊 and yes learning from you is alot and making me enjoying my succulents rather than being afraid to care for them ... 😍😍😍 always looking forward to your new vlogs and im sharing with familiesssss and friendssss... 😍😍😍
This video is a VLOG. That means little talks of what is happening in my garden or sometimes what happens around me. An easy guide in navigating my videos is to pay attention to the title. If the title says "HOW TO COLOR SUCCULENTS," I will be talking about step by step guide on "HOW TO COLOR SUCCULENTS"....If it’s a VLOG…then it will be little bits of information about growing succulents. This video is neither a step by step guide nor a straightforward way on "How to color Succulents." But this video still talks about the different ways of coloring succulents. My understanding of what you mean is a straightforward way to color succulents are as follows... 1. Right soil mix 2.The right pot 3. Watering times 4. Location 5. Exposure 6.What to feed them 7.Time 8. Plant Species and variety You said you've watched this video many times.... my understanding is that you didn't understand what the video was all about so I’ll try my best to explain it here. On specified time of the video... 5:04 SEASON & POSITION: talks about "Bernalense" how the color changes with the season and where the pot is placed. I've shown four different pots in different size, condition and different position. Some are yellow, some are pink and some are green at the back, one has broken off and has taken roots into a bigger pot with plenty of soil. More soil means more green. Less soil less green or pinker. 6:15 POT SIZE: of the video, talks about the "Bonsai" plants. All colorful because they're in small pots with very little soil. 7:55 TIME: "Violet Queen"- Shows the difference of color and talk about taking 3 years to achieve the color of the violet Queen that is in the black pot. The big pot is greener looking violet queens because it’s in a much bigger pot with more soil and not as old as the one in the black pot. 8:38 SIZE of pot and SOIL matters: Schichi-kuksi- One pot is bigger with more soil using my Master Soil Mix. Master soil mix is a more general use soil mix but that doesn’t mean it won’t color the plant. If left long enough and more plants growing taking up more space, then it can color up also. The small pot is in my Advance soil mix. This will make the succulent color faster than the one in the big pot that is in the master soil mix. Master soil mix and Advance soil mix are two of my soil mixture that has different uses with different results. The rest of videos still talks about the conditions taken to color up these succulents. Cheers, Liz
Oh Liz, the details that we can see from this camera is amazing!

Depends on the plant, soil, exposure and other factors.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK, what are the other factors ? and exposure to what? thanks
@@stitISH Exposure to sun, wind and rain and aspect(NSEW). Pots used, watering regimen, frequency and it varies with every species and variety also.
Hi Liz, could you tell me the name of agavoides in the bottom right corner of 3:59? The big pink one, in white pot. Thank you
