I usually keep an eye on the forecast for the first frost of the season in Autumn. Then I bring them inside before the day, and provide plenty of light via window or grow light/lamp. @ I usually let the soil completely dry up, then I soak the whole pot overnight, then drain. Check in a couple of months to see if the soil is dry. Then repeat the process. 🥰
I find a lot of string succulents(senecio) like a fast draining soil and requires a lot of watering. They are supposed to be dormant in summer if exposed to too much sun. If kept in a bright shady area, they will continue to grow all year round especially in temperatures of 10 to 25°C | 50 to 77°F.
