Wow! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'm about to build wheels... and you just cleared up so may questions I had! Not to mention saved me tons of time... and kept me from making a load of mistakes purchasing the components! :D
I got a question on my rear hub axle I recently stripped it and its a 19mm and its a male casset and I don't really know which axle to buy and was wondering if you can help me with that?
From what he was explaining they are a pretty standard size. But you have to count your wheel spokes to get the correct flange... But don't hold me to it. Id hit up a bike shop. Hubs are more complicated than I expected.
You probably already found the answer but yes. A complete wheel comes with the hub. You can order or build a custom wheel with different spokes, hubs, and rims.
I didn't get anything at all? I buy a bike worth $16 they said it's original or something but I don't know anything about bmx and now I have one I might be able to understand it. I'm currently disassembling the bike to remove the rust and paint to get new parts and fix some of it without even having an experience.
Edgardo Wong what about bending? Is female stronger than male when it comes to bending? I honestly miss the days of 14mm front and rear. I never had to worry about bending axles.
I have a question so I bought a blueprint Sunday bike off of someone and it has a small sprocket I could change the sprocket but there isnt enough space so could I switch the freewheel to a coaster on the same rim?
I'm too poor to get a new hub for BMX. It's my dream to go pro but I made the mistake of getting a bike with a Mission Function Semi-Sealed rear hub and for two weeks now I havn't been able to ride. If anyone can afford to send me one, it would mean the world. Nothing fancy or even new is neccesary, just functional. Hate to beg but I'm out of options and I'm turning to the community for help.
I can not stress how much this bmx mom needed to watch this video. Appreciate this on a whole new level thank you.
I wish there was more bmx videos like this that I can find
That was such a clean straight forward definition_ bomb job!

If you have rear hub and it include female axle , its enough to hold the grind tricks ?
If my dropouts measure 120mm width then do I need a 110mm hub or does it need to match or be greater than the width?
AWESOME !!!! thank you for sharing ;))
is it ok to use rear hubs for front tires?
Do you know where i should buy my hubs from
What about hubs that have 2 threaded sides (1 side being a smaller thread than the other?)
please explain the internal parts of semi sealed cassettes :'(
so are cassettes a standard size or are they all diffrent dependant on wheel?

Wait do wheels come with hubs?

@@Bmxicano2 Thanks dude, I actually hadn't found the answer.

Are female hub axles weaker?
i am asking the same thing and nobody is answering
Yeah they are.
No they are stronger because they are much harder to strip threads

can you change a 14mm axle to a 10 mm?
No.
He looks like he's sitting at this local spot in Gilbert AZ
Holy shit he is! I grew up riding that spot in the early 00's! Gilbert born and raised! That's my neighborhood!
I have loose ball bearings around my cassette and dont know how to put them back. Please help me I want to ride.
