Just watched that myself on the old ford. Bently did a great job welding up that trans mount. The apple don't fall far from the tree. He's got a great dad that will let him learn new things
You're doing an amazing job Bentley. Really enjoying the videos! And to Jessica, I know you are editing this and we appreciate you too. You are under appreciated by everyone and I think we need to show you some more.
HAHA!!!! AWESOME!!! Who else was so happy when his second set of universal keys slid all the way into the ignition? And then on top of it the back rims fit. God I was so happy for Bentley!!! Nice job kiddo!!!
Bentley that Cub Cadet HSD2155 were built from 1996 to 1999. You should be able to find lawn mower rim bushings to fix that gap on the front wheels. Great job getting it going again👍🏼.
Great work Bentley, keep it up young man. 1 bit of advice, those front rims are supposed to have bushings in them or you'll ruin the rim and axle. Tractor supply should have them. You should be able to get plastic ones or brass ones
Yep. Those wheel and tire sets usually come with several sizes of plastic bearings, but I like to press out the old metal bearings from the old wheels and reuse them assuming they are in good shape and the correct size for the new wheels.
It is such a pleasure watching you grow up before our eyes, you are doing a wonderful job just getting in there and doing it. And to Derrick and Jessica you are doing an amazing job raising all your boys, it has been and still is a joy to see a family enjoying different aspects of a shared hobby.
Good Job! I'll tell ya though, you'll be better off swapping the tires onto the original front wheels. Though I know doing tires on those little wheels can be tough. If you look at them carefully, you'll see the originals have a beefier hub (look at how much bigger around the wheel hub is that = stronger) and the reason you have to use spacers is the new wheels are narrower at the center hub. There is probably a bushing or bearing in the original wheels that can be replaced so they don't wobble. And no spacers required. I've been in the same place before, trying to juggle wheels from one mower to another. Love watching and trying to coach you from my easy chair. LOL Good luck!
You are turning into quite the mechanic Bentley....Nice job buddy. Pull the deck lift linkage off so it don't get tangled up in stuff....and use it around the properly for chores it'll work great for that type of stuff.
best part of the channel is that he is doing this by himself for the most part. I know he gets advice and some help from mom and dad but he is doing most of it on his own.
This is cool! When I was about your age, I found an abandoned Wheel Horse lawnmower with a snowblower attachment in our lower garage and got it working so I could blow snow in the winter. Back in those days, I had to get a ride to the county library to read the Wheel Horse repair manual and make sketches of the diagrams because making photo copies was expensive. You'll have a good life knowing all this stuff.
Excellent job Bentley, I love that not only do you work on things, but also explore and collect cool things.. so much better than sitting around with electronic devices...healthy mind, healthy body....good for you
Welcome to S E C Southern Engineering University! I think the cub cadet original wheels still have the spacers needed for the new front wheels. Keep up the good work, you are braver than me when I was your age.
Turned out nice Bentley! Glad your dad helped you get those front wheels lined out. I like the way you have the courage to dig right in... trail and error is the best teacher.
I think it's really great. How bemily has figured out how to do things it is possible. He asks his dad, but I like how he improvises his repair. Love watching your videos.I'm a sixty two year old man who got to start doing the exact same thing with our lawn tractor when I was a kid
Nice work Bentley! Mowers are a great place to start tinkering. And like you said, it will be very useful around the property too. Keep up the good work!
Bentley, I'm 81 years old and I enjoy your videos. You remind me of my kid days when I used to build go-carts and motorbikes. Keep on having fun and learning as you go....
Hey Bentley, Im really enjoying your Will it Run videos with all the lawn equipment. Also VERY impressed with your welding skills!! Great job on your dads truck project!
I think you can get better tolerances on those front wheels. Either with bushing/bearings sleeves or a better set of spacers. You are awesome man, seriously. Rock on!
Nice work figuring out how to take the gap out of the front tires. Might consider making the fix a bit more permanent though for your safety. You were missing a shaft bushing.
great job Bently, a couple if things, you're going to want to change those front tires over to the old rims, they won't last long otherwise, as for the year of the Rig, look under the seat, you should have a tag there with a serial number and model number, Look for the "U" in the number. The numbers after the "U" will be the part that indicates the year of manufacture
A little advice for a little feller. Typically it's a good idea to get the spark plug started by hand before using the ooga dooga machine. Great video.
Just clicked on your video and I'm going to finish watching it, just wanted to let you know watching your dad's video last night and your welding was excellent! Keep up the good work!
Great job Bentley. I was going to comment that there are 2 different styles of universal keys, but you got it figured out. Also, it was awesome getting to meet you and Bradley at Power Tour in Nashville the other day.
I’m 48 years old and excited to see how you make that thing faster 🤣 I bought a new mower and my old one has a 20hp V Twin. Took the deck off and pull my utility trailer around with it. Maybe with your instruction I can make it fast enough to get down the road to the cold snack store!
Another good video with lessons learned. Bushings on front wheels - don't ignore problems when things don't fit properly! It will cause more damage and personal injury too. That stubborn lug nut was trying to tell you something - either a bad thread or just too rusty. And NEVER use an impact driver to install spark plugs - they can easily cross thread.
Going to be a cool mud mower! If you look at the second front wheel you took off, that's the original cub cadet wheel that has bearings in the center. Need wheels like that so they will fit the spindle shaft.
I would have loved to see the look on your mom's face when you said and showed the bottle caps. Absolutely brilliant. The best way to learn is by doing and you are doing great. Thanks for the video.
Good job Bentley, maybe you can put some pin stripes on it like you did on your dirt bike! Would be really cool looking for a race mower! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for sharing little buddy, sending prayers and positive energy to you and your family from Louisiana! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻
We use to ride all over town, hauling a radio flyer full of skateboards hitting the skate spots, on a cub cadet just like that one. Maybe a little older. Called it the D.A.T. Mobile (Dustin, Andy, Tony). 😁
Bentley its so good to see you working hard on your projects, so enjoy the mini series on the mower. You are inspiring other younger people to go out and find a hobby that they enjoy.
Bentley U sir are simply amazing young man, just watched ya welt like a pure pro a now watchin ya knock it outta the park with this mower….. Great job sir
Hey little buddy. Those old front wheels are far better than those new ones they have bearings in them. And that tractor might be more closer to a 1993 or so. It has a mule drive for the mower deck, thats those 2 pollys by the front tires. Those where used on the good old tractors.
I'd think a roll cage more than a cab, but if he was using it as snow blower/plow the cab would be fantastic! It 95 here in TX, I just got done mowing and hate to think how hot it would be in a cab 🤔🤔
Fun to watch you figure out stuff with the mowers. There are bushings missing from the new front wheels you got. You can use the model number on the left side of the frame behind the front wheel, to find part numbers and such. Or, most likely, your pop can come up with something to remedy that.
Great vid young man. Saw you welding on the ford too, what a great job! Looking forward to seeing how the build goes on the mower. Keep up the great work!
You remind of myself about a 100 years ago. You are a smart young man !! You ain't afraid of snakes either !! I am looking at the way this machine was built ! This thing was solid ! the junk they build today is a joke !!
You've saved another decent machine from the scrap heap. It'll see a lot more years as a little workhorse around the "Lodge". But, I have a feeling that the last nut you put on the right rear wheel was thoroughly cross threaded (it fought you coming off and going back on) ... it'll be fine 😎
Got yourself a mini tractor. Enclose the driver compartment, jab in icicle maker. Bolt on a winch, a couple of flood lights up above. Maybe some tunes and a cb, and a little cold snacks cooler. There's your goin' to pond rig.
Hey buddy, on those back rims I would use some sandpaper to clean those up from the Rust before I would paint them, make it look much nicer and take the paint better also, your call 😉 you need to get a metal spacer because that plastic spacer will just end up braking, too much weight for plastic, I would keep the rims that you took off and clean them up for backup rims, eventually you need to get some heavier metal spacers to be put into those 2 front wheels, there's just ALOT of weight with the Motor and everything being directed onto the front part of the mower, But once again it's up to you, I SEE you have some Comedy RELIEF, with the mower belt statement 🤣😂🤣, another good episode, keep up the Great work and I will CYA SOON NEXT TIME 👍✌️😎
You're doing amazing work and making entertaining content! I saw your welding work on the ol ford trans crossmemeber and that was amazing! Keep up the great work!
Bentley Bud you can use some PVC plastic pipe cut down into rim spacer sleeve bushings for those new rims. By marking the length of the shaft from the very back washer from the original layout. And drill out those pieces of PVC pipe to slide onto the metal shafts easily. Then light grease the shafts to slide those rims on. Front and back both. Tap those sleeves in with A ball pin hammer.
You may want to install a fan belt on the front of the motor which will probably charge the battery! Good job. Glad your got Dad involved. Nothing wrong with saying Hey Dad!
Bentley, Im 69 years old and I enjoy watching your videos. You are a great guy and I liked watching you weld on the old Ford. Keep up the great work.
Just watched that myself on the old ford. Bently did a great job welding up that trans mount. The apple don't fall far from the tree.
He's got a great dad that will let him learn new things
Indeed. After watching the welds he laid down - I wish I could afford his level of workmanship to help me. But work that good does not come cheaply.
“We can throw 38 spacers on it” 😂. That made me laugh!
There's no doubt he's Derek's boy. LOL
🤘🤘love the videos brother, keep 'em coming.
You're doing an amazing job Bentley. Really enjoying the videos! And to Jessica, I know you are editing this and we appreciate you too. You are under appreciated by everyone and I think we need to show you some more.
All this and helping his father on his projects, what a great young man keep it up.....
HAHA!!!! AWESOME!!! Who else was so happy when his second set of universal keys slid all the way into the ignition? And then on top of it the back rims fit. God I was so happy for Bentley!!! Nice job kiddo!!!

bottlecaps........you are your fathers son
God help us.😅😂
I don't know if the world is ready for both of them.
I was laughing so hard when I heard him say that.
Little feller is a natural at this! And rockin a stellar mullet to boot! “Yeah that’s safe” Perfect! Lol
You're really developing your problem-solving skills, Bentley!!
Keep up the good work!
Just what I was going to say. I saw bushings in the old rims. Take those off and reuse them if they aren't worn out.
Next time… do yourself a favor and Hand start that spark plug.
It is such a pleasure watching you grow up before our eyes, you are doing a wonderful job just getting in there and doing it. And to Derrick and Jessica you are doing an amazing job raising all your boys, it has been and still is a joy to see a family enjoying different aspects of a shared hobby.

I really like & appreciate your energy, enthusiasm, ambition in your work & time spent to share the upgrades with us! Keep on plugging along!
your a very smart young man your father has taught you so much. i for one admire your work ethic and your skills.
Lol, right there with ya
you're doing great, Bentley! keep up the good work. You have an excellent teacher. He's been teaching you well! Get some!!!
You're going to need to get wheels with some bearings that are already pressed in for the front. Check the tractor supply to see if you can find some.
I would have put new rubber on the original rims bud... but nice job
Bruh, Friday entertainment at it's finest. Lol, I watched yours before your dads.
You are turning into quite the mechanic Bentley....Nice job buddy.
Pull the deck lift linkage off so it don't get tangled up in stuff....and use it around the properly for chores it'll work great for that type of stuff.
Nice work Bentley. That Cub Cadet is cool. Be safe!
Awesome job, looks great.
We'll pretend we didn't see you put that sparkplug in with an impact.😅
Nice job on figuring out the front tires issue - well done over all. Bet Mom and Dad are proud of you for these videos and more. Keep it up 👍
101,000 subs! Outstanding, sir this going take you anywhere you want to go in life. Hats off to you.

If you don't mind a tip from an old feller, I use a 6" piece of fuel line to install spark plugs to keep from stripping the threads.
best part of the channel is that he is doing this by himself for the most part. I know he gets advice and some help from mom and dad but he is doing most of it on his own.

I'm lovin' watchin' this mower come together for you, Bentley. Keep diggin' man! 💯

Well done Bentley very good viewing. All this from picking things up of your dad and helping him...Take care, cheers from the UK.
Father's day, I support Derrick and I'll support his boys channel. Glad he's following his dad wrenching. Keep it up little dude.
Bentley, I'm 81 years old and I enjoy your videos. You remind me of my kid days when I used to build go-carts and motorbikes. Keep on having fun and learning as you go....
Just watch your dad's video too. A little feller knows what he's doing with a welder. Very VERY good job Bentley!
He impressed me as well
Hey Bentley, Im really enjoying your Will it Run videos with all the lawn equipment. Also VERY impressed with your welding skills!! Great job on your dads truck project!
Great job little grip! 😊😊 It's great to see a young person with such enthusiasm!😊😊😊

Loving it - and even though those plastic hub spacers you cobbled up will disintegrate with about 100 yards lol, it's a great learning experience!
I think you need bushings for those new wheels you will get a better fit on the axles buddy
I really enjoy watching Bentley's problem solving and critical thinking skills come to life. He's a great young man and a model son to be proud of.

Nice work Bentley. Little suggestion. Get Dad to whip you up some custom washers on the plasma table.
Love all your content, Bradley, excellent job, young man.
Great job Bentley ❤Love Jim J&R mobile service and God Bless y'all and your critters
Impact started the spark plug. 😂😂 like a boss!!!
Enjoying the little series on the mower! You’re really starting to learn the UA-cam way of doing things and coming into your own style a little bit.
Amazing! Keep doing what you are doing! Enjoy your videos! Watch out for the biting bugs! LOL!
Your rockin it Bentley!! The mower is gonna be cool! Keep up the great work and have a great weekend🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad to see you fallowing in your dad's footsteps ❤ it.
Nice job Bentley, persistence pays ,keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Nice to see a young man doing such a great job on repairing his mower.

That's what customized is all about, trial and retrial and reretrial.
Keep up the good work, Young Wrencher🤙
Another great video, seems like you are learning more and more with each project. well done

Soda pop cap race tractor. Now that's ingenuity!

My Grandpa was a pattern maker for Hinson Manufacturing and built cabs for 1960s and 1970s Cub Cadets.

KEEP U[ THE GREAT WORK LG. I'M A 71 YEAR OLD FAN OF YOU AND YOUR DAD BIG G. ROCK ON!
Another great build progress update.
Keep up the good work. You could use that motor on a go kart.
Great vid young man. Saw you welding on the ford too, what a great job! Looking forward to seeing how the build goes on the mower. Keep up the great work!
