  • Hi and welcome to the first of our vlogs on this adventure where we take the wonderful P&O Arvia from Southampton UK all the way over to the Caribbean, stopping at Gran Canaria, Tortola, St Kitts, Martinique on the way before finishing at Barbados.
    In this video we cover Embarkation, have a look around the ship and then find ourselves in rough storms...possibly the worst we've ever experienced.
    During the trip we'll be covering all the dining options available, a tour of the ship, our cabin, what to do on so many seas day and we'll even be going on High Ropes the adventure course on top of the ship..so if you're not already make sure you subscribe to keep in touch with the rest of the content we'll be releasing about this and other wonderful cruises.

    We saw La Voix on the first night too, she was fabulous. Agree about the menu in the Limelight as we also saw Gareth Gates and it was exactly the same menu.
    We've just booked to do the transatlantic again next year. I'm excited because my sister and brother in law have booked too, and it'll be their first ever cruise!

    We were on the same trip. Loved every minute of it. The bay didn’t affect me or my wife, but there again we did have the drink package and used it extensively 😂😂. Love the videos you keep posting 👍🏻

    We were on the transatlantic from Southampton on 27/10. I didn’t like the bay of biscay. I was sick but felt very drunk even though I hadn’t drunk anything but tea. Was of my food too, the the Atlantic was much calmer and sunny. We go on Iona next year and have to go down the bay of biscay again, I will take sickness tablet two days before trip.
    Hope you had a very good cruise. We enjoyed felt the entrainment was as great as on Iona.
    But the food and staff were excellent. Even thought six people were taking off sheep for doing things they shouldn’t have done. I saw two bloggers which I have watched there videos. Last time I saw them was at our first stop in gran caneria but never saw them on ship again. don’t know WHY!!!!!

      @jeanheaphy2222 you were clearly on the same as us then 🙂 Those first couple of days were very 'lumpy' lol. We've crossed the bay of Biscay numerous times and this was the first time we've had any issues...clearly the storms in the area were the reason though. We heard about people being 'asked to leave' but didnt witness anything ourselves..we were too busy having a great time on a great ship! If ever you see us on another cruise do come and say 'Hi'

    I felt a bit seasick watching the views out of the windows! Nice to see they have a good choice of vegetarian food on the menus.

      Hi Joan, yep it was rough..thankfully we were ok, though interestingly some of the performances were cancelled due to the performers being ill. Green and Co was a great restaurant to eat at if you're a veggie or vegan...on P&O in particular there is a lot of choice for those who are.

    There aren't more eating options as there's only 2 mdrs instead of 4 making room for 6th street diner and green and co

      There are certainly lots of eating options on Arvia. Not all are included in the fare though

    • @AgelessCuriosity
      @AgelessCuriosity  7 місяців тому

      Hi Stuart, thanks for the compliment 😊 The ship had 5,000 on her (confirmed by Guest Relations when we asked) however during the good weather half the ship were on Sun loungers and as such it didnt feel cramped at all. Even on the rough days when everyone was inside it was ok. This was helped by the numerous dining options and bars. Also the Atrium is a fantastic open space which holds a lot of people without it feeling like its full.

    Can’t see that Arvia has many wow factors. Cabin decks and carpet look really bland.

      Thats the beauty of cruising. lots of different ships to suit almost every taste. As for Arvia, she's certainly geared more towards the contemporary taste..Alison & Ian
