This report is excellent, a true reflection of food on offer. The best meal I had on Arvia was the lamb shanks in the Olive Grove. The curry at Sindu came a close second. This was our 1st cruise after a 30 year break and I really enjoyed it. Before going I was worried about the amount of passengers on board but it never felt crowded until our last day at sea when it rained. You are right there is so much food to choose from. Thank you for a great trip down memory lane.
Brilliant overview, both! I actually haven't done too much exploring in the Arvia corner of UA-cam, but I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing. She seems to be getting SUCH mixed (and also negative) reviews online at the moment, which I just don't fully understand looking at this video - it looks excellent!
Thank you for watching! There's definitely mixed reviews on Arvia. What we found was it had a much greater choice of included food compared to the older P&O ships and some of the other cruise lines in fairness. The specialty dining was also great quality and value compared to the American cruise lines.
great video, we stayed on arvia around the 10th of november and it was our first ever cruise. honestly loved it and the food was amazing all round. very informative helpfull video for anyone that considers going on arvia, also nice for me to watch and see anything i may of missed and reminisce on how good it all was
@@CruiseLifestyle it’s great to look back at the kind of thing. And 100% we have caught the cruise bug it’s just a completely different experience that i would love to do in the future again as soon as possible.
Enjoyed your Vlog on the Arvia food . We found the buffet disappointing on Arvia as we do on all P&O ships . The quays was our favourite eating place on Arvia. We also had an amazing meal in the Epicurean. Don't know if you tried it but the Ice Cream afternoon tea at Ripples was out of this world ? Look forward to more Vlogs from you.
Thank you, we enjoyed trying everything out. We weren't fans of the buffet but as you said The Quays was really good. We ate there several times! We didn't have the ice cream afternoon tea but it sounds like it's one to definitely have at least once. We've heard it's quite a lot and one afternoon tea is good for two people?
Great video, great to see all the dishes in detail. Sindhu and afternoon tea In Epicurean were our favourites. We didn’t do Green & Co and really wish we had. Interesting that you mentioned the grab and go cabinets, I kept looking to see what was offered there but never saw them in use. Hi There we are new to your channel and look forward to watching more of your videos👏
Sindhu was very good, which is why we booked to dine there again whilst on the cruise. I wonder whether the grab & go will ever be reinstated, we really liked it on Britannia. Thank you for finding our channel! 😁
If I remember rightly, we’d been eating lots of salad in the run up to this cruise 😂 so that might be why we didn’t choose many! You can always get salad items in the buffet during lunch and dinner.
Thank you for the video. Very useful having opening times, I wanted to go to the Olive Grove on embarkation, but, now know it will not be open until later. Was this filmed a long time ago ? I noticed there was not a drinks package key letter next to the drinks you listed.
We cruised about two weeks before the changes to the drinks were made. I’d spent ages taking photos of the menus and was gutted when the changes came in not longer after we returned 🤦🏻♀️
Keel and Cow breakfast is superb with exotic fruit salads and eggs royale or benedict. I went twice as I liked it so much. Pay per dish, average coat about £5
Exquisitely produced with lovely narration. Sadly, you didnt eat at Green & Co; which i hear is the best restaurant. Ah well....im eating there on my first evening on Sunday.
@CruiseLifestyle we saw a woman in Cherbourg moaning how crap the ship was because she ordered ice to her cabin and it never came. She also was complaining about waiting 5vmibs for the lift. 5000 people on board, there's always the stairs. Honestly you can't please some people. I would have been happy staying on that amazing ship all 5 days.
@@markenetube some people will always find something to complain about. I remember hearing someone moaning that they didn’t think the corn flakes were Kelloggs in the buffet. What I’ve learnt to do is make my own mind up about things and it sounds like you do the same.
Yes, we were disappointed with the Chef’s Table, especially as it was my birthday and was hoping for a special meal. I had the steak in the MDR a couple of times and it was nice to always have that option.
That’s just our opinion, we thought that the quality of the food and service was very good and £24 is much better than the cost of specialty dining on other cruise lines we’ve experienced.

Thank you, I really appreciate your comment. We really enjoyed Sindhu too and the prices were not bad at all - good value for money.

Your warning was accurate! Starving after watching this. Such a great video!!!

Bloody ell this looks banging cant wait for friday!
Not long to wait - enjoy the food!!!
Fantastic! Everything you need to know, thank you Laura.
Thank you, there is a lot of food available on Arvia so there’s plenty of choice. We particularly loved The Quays for quick, casual meals.

@@CruiseLifestyle Our pleasure, have a great weekend ahead 😍
Lovely video. Very informative, thank you. X
Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for your comment.
What a great food review, thank you 🙏
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching the video. We hope it was useful.
we ate at the keel and cow and i have to say the rib eye was one of the best steaks i have ever had at sea.
That's good to know, we shall definitely give it a try next time - thank you! (Craig loves a rib eye)
I may have missed it, but I didn't see many salads. Are they readily available ?

No we didn’t unfortunately, I couldn’t persuade Craig to try the vegan menu but @cruisewithamber has a comprehensive video you should definitely watch
Can't wait to be back onboard in 4 weeks :D
Not long to wait!
We get on tomorrow!!!!
Did you try the Beach House ?
We did, it’s at 11:08 on the video 😁
Really good vlog !
Thank you!
Just came back. Must have put a stone on in 5 days. So much food and such as wide choice.
That’s a sign you enjoyed the food! I agree with you, such a great variety of choice available on Arvia.

Hi, out of interest do you know if they do separate kids menus in the main dining restaurants?
We didn’t cruise with children so it wasn’t something we paid much attention to but I know there’s a kids tea every day at 5pm in the buffet.
my brother is one of the chefs on that ship
Wow that’s great, you must be proud of him.
Food at the chefs table looked sad but the steak looked nice and so did a few other items
Yes, we were disappointed with the Chef’s Table, especially as it was my birthday and was hoping for a special meal. I had the steak in the MDR a couple of times and it was nice to always have that option.
wow. wish I was there. I went to my fridge after 5 minutes.
Sorry! 😂
Oh. You pronounce scones that way. And I thought we could be friends.
Whichever way I pronounce them I expect clotted cream with them not squirty 😂
Marco Pierre white should be embarrassed
I do agree, the Chef’s Table was the most disappointing meal of our cruise
Epicurian is not value for money
That’s just our opinion, we thought that the quality of the food and service was very good and £24 is much better than the cost of specialty dining on other cruise lines we’ve experienced.
Food looks bloody awful.
Well at least you know now, some places were very good, others just ok
Not much evidence of Marco Pierre White or James Martin!
Yeah they basically have zero involvement it's just the name for show but absolutely no input believe me.
